I presented with only one sore at my cheekbone and was given clindamycin orally for 14 days and Bactroban ointment for topical use. The sore was believed to be an early indication of MRSA. I quickly developed cellulitis and swelling near, but not touching, the apparent abscess, as well as blisters in my nose. I used the mupiricin.(Bactroban) to keep the nasal blisters moist. Now diagnosed with post-herpetic neuralgia, but I still have blisters in my nose treating with Bactroban.
ENT said I had some colonies in nose soUsed Bacrtoban for 3 days and slight pain in my nose went away per ENT. I stopped the bactroban after 3 days because I was not sleeping but I was also using Nasocort and maybe that was the culprit.
Cold gone sinus not infected but having some pain that feels like a tooth ache and slight tickle or sting in nostrils when breathing. Left septum is a little enlarged.
It is located on my cheek and I recently had a test for cold sores and it came back negative, but I put cold sore cream by chemists own (aciclovir 5%) on it and that seems to work. What is it?? I remember placing Bactroban on it which seemed to speed up the healing process, could this cold sore cream help a bacterial infection or could bactroban help a cold sore? Please help

I recently took him into the Dr and they prescribed Bactroban and said to put Eucerin lotion on it inbetween Bactroban treatments for 10 days. It does not seem to be healing up. I am not sure if it is because he bothers it and is keeping it from healing. Is there anything else I can be doing to help this cut heal and close?
Her body is scared up from over the years of picking her skin. Her Dr. perscribed her bactroban cream. It keeps them from becoming infected. She once had to have one lanced, We are at our wits end. I am afraid that she may get something from all the open sores. We try to keep them bandaged up with keflex bandages and keflex gauze, using the Bactroban cream, but she seems to managed to remove the bandages just to scratch them and then she will cover them back up. I was born with and sadly it is the most troublesome disease to treat as what may work for me may not for you and location of where you live plays a big role. In most cases I would recommend Soriatane at 25mg a day to start and if you see no improvement than 50mg might help. I had something similar and have read many others posts about this also. My doc told me to put Neosporin on it and inside the end of my nose. That seemed to help.

Please help me out, I am very much worried. I have these blisters growing on the skin of my testes which never open up neither fade away but have no pain. But I experience terrible Itching on the skin of my testes, specially at the night time because of which I cannot have a good nights sleep. Hello- I'm looking for some out-of-the -box ideas to treat my angular cheilitis. I've been to several doctors (dermatologists and GP's) trying to find a way to effectively treat this condition for the last 13 months. I've been prescribed everything from anti-fungals (topical and oral diflucan, nystatin) to antibiotics (topicals and oral tetracycline, doxycycline, bactroban, altabax) to steroids (topical and oral prednisone and hydrocortisone .2% USP).
So, you have treat the CHF, which is difficult and often involves drugs or therapies that are likely to make the nosebleeds worse, things like aspirin, warfarin (anti-clot meds). If liver function is bad, nosebleeds are a consequence, too.

Sure does look like a bacterial folliculitis,if so would respond to a course of antibiotics.Guttate psoriasis could be another possibility for i would have expected the folliculitis to be more localised.But then if so, still would respond to antibiotic,and this condition starts with a sorethroat and is generally self limiting.
Also, I noticed that my entire body felt like it was constantly trembling and that my pulse was constantly rapid. I went back to the doctor and he took a culture and gave me bactroban to put on the burn until the results come back. Since then, the area around the burn seems very faintly pink (when I had the cellulitis it was red) and still warm and tender to the touch, and also that I am experiencing alot of numbness and tingling and a burning sensation on my left leg, both arms, and my face.
it will be a large red area that is painful to the touch also it will have heat coming off it and resemble a lump under the skin.....

The person I may have contracted herpes from I used a condom every time we had sex and I didnt see any blisters or sores in the area on him and I havent had sex with him in over 8 months and I have never had any signs of having herpes until now. My doctor prescribed me bactroban and surgical soap. She didnt prescribe me anything for herpes. Does it sound like I have herpes?
