sneeze

Avatar f tn Help, I have a kitten that is about 32 days old and was stepped on by a friend on accident. It wasnt a full step, and the kitten began spinning around in circles and gasping. I then held the kitten and her breathing returned to normal. Her jaw was a little out of place and hanging open, bleeding. Eventually the bleeding stopped and i saw her close and open her jaw with no obvious pain. I laid her on a towel and she was moving her head around occasionally sneezing.
Avatar n tn How long have you had this kitten and what vaccines have been done? Does he/she have any other drainage from the nostrils or eyes? Is he sneezing at all? If you have other cats, someone could have taken a swipe at a "nosy" new kitten, so you might look for scratches on the nose. Also, an active little kitten could have found any number of sharp objects around the house to accidently run into and hurt himself. As zodiacqueen has said, this is not normal for a kitten.
7667275 tn?1393196119 t buy it locally from a vitamin supply than I would recommend ordering it from iherb, thats where I buy from. shipping is only $4. for the kitten you can use 250mg a day thats half a scoop, its a powder...mix with a tiny amount of water and give by dropper. for the adult cats you can give double that. make sure you buy the Carlson Labs brand if you are buying locally. http://www.iherb.
Avatar n tn Hmm....a healthy kitten can also have a dry, warm nose. Good thing he ate and drank some water. Keep an eye on him. If there are no other symptoms as of today and tomorrow, I wouldn't worry too much. A kitten's nose changes. In other words, it can go from wet and cold to dry and warm from day to night. It doesn't mean he is sick.
Avatar m tn You did such an awesome thing, adopting instead of buying from a pet store!!! =) This truly made my day hearing this!!!! My guess is that the kitten has an upper respiratory infection, which, in that environment is quite common. It's an easy fix. Call the Humane Society back and they might give you some antibiotics to give her. You might want to keep her separated from your other cat/cats so she doesn't give the infection to them. It is highly contagious. Please, keep us posted.
1101325 tn?1321253073 hi there I got a kitten from a shelter on the 14th he was fine there then i got him home and he started 2 snezz alot and had green boogies,i was on a trial period with the kitten so when i called the shelter and told them that the kitty was sick they had me come in and then when i got there they sent me 2 a vet no cost 2 me....the vet tested the kitten for luekemia and heart worms and all test came back fine, so she sum'd it up as the usual kitty upper resp. infection......
Avatar f tn Today I noticed a runny eye, and she seems unactive (especially for a kitten). I can not take her to the vet or back to the spca. I adopted her at a shelter that is 4 hours away. I went to the feed store to get amoxicilyn, but the said u can not get it in ca.
518117 tn?1429276273 I have talked about Paradise some on here. She is getting ready to turn 4. And what a sweetie she is. Paradise has been doing a lot of sneezing over the months. Otherwise, she is maybe a tad overweight, eats like a little pig, goes to her litterbox well etc. Has a beautiful shiny coat, too. Very healthy except for these sneezing fits. Paradise was a gunshot victim almost 2 yrs. ago. Lost one eye and hearing in one ear.
611067 tn?1458591483 My poor babies all have severe head colds. The vet put them on amoxicilin to help to prevent a secondary infection. But, I'm a worried mama! My tiniest kitten is having the worst trouble. She is coughing badly and having a struggle . . .we are taking her back to the vet tomorrow. I'm fearful it could be moving to her chest! What else can I do to help them with a cold? Anything this mama can do - I'll do!
Avatar n tn I recently brought in a new kitten as a friend for my two year old female cat. After a few days, both cats became sick, sneezing, watery eyes, discharge. The kitten was first, so I got him an antibiotic and he's fine now. But my other cat became very ill within a couple of days, and she has been in the emergency animal hospital all weekend and is now staying at the vets. She has a high fever that goes up and down, very congested and not eating. This has gone on for five days.
Avatar n tn My kitten who we just rescued from the pet shelter is sick. She has a really runny nose that is making it hard for her to breath through her nose (she actually has to open her mouth to breathe every once in a while), she is very sluggish and has lost all the playfulness she had no less then a week ago, and has been barely eating or drinking unless she's force fed with a dropper we got from the vet (she is on an antibiotic that im giving her with the dropper, but im still worried).
Avatar n tn I have a kitten about 4 months old. He is quite a wildcat! Very active and everywhere he goes he goes code 10! Romps and plays and fights all the time. The last 2 days he seems ill. He isn't his usual active self. Spent most of yesterday just sleeping. Didn't even get up to eat or use the bathroom. I slept with him right beside me all night to watch him. This morning he seemed a bit better yet still not his usual self.
Avatar f tn what does that mean? AND we are getting rid of the cat but is that really what the problem is?? Keep in mind that she is normal 90% of the time..
3105616 tn?1341479139 as far as her runny nose goes as long as she is still playfull and doesnt seem to be having issues breathing then she is probably fine. i have a kitten that is sneezing also and has a runny nose. its probably allergies. keep an eye on her and if she looks like she is having issues breathing or if she stops being playfull and doesnt want to eat then take her to the vet.
Avatar m tn Charlene, I just googled "kitten and head tilt" and a bunch of sites came up. Several describing the possibility of what it could be which may include a Vestibular problem (middle ear infection,) punctured ear drum, head trauma, idiopathic (no known reason.) Also, sites of people with kittens of their own with head tilts. While you're waiting for someone who might have experience here, you might google this in the mean time if you haven't already.
Avatar m tn We recently got a call from the same people saying they had another kitten available and felt bad about the other kitten and offered us a free kitten. They also now mentioned that all but one of the previous littler were sick and had died. I think they didn`t mention it before in fear of us asking for our money back. Anyway on to the new kitten. He seemed fine the first few days but now is not eating or drinking much and has diarrhea.
Avatar n tn It really would be great to spend a bit of money to have a vet assess her and give you a better idea of what to do to help her. Best of luck to you both.
Avatar f tn You must be very attached to a baby kitten that you have hand raised, I don't understand what you mean when you say the Vet doesn't know what to do??? This kitten needs surgery to remove the stool/ blockage...she is suffering, no wonder she cannot eat or drink with this blockage, why will the Vet not recommend surgery????
Avatar n tn I'd say take it to your vet. Otherwise, at that age, the best you can do is to try to insure that the kitten stays warm and gets a chance to nurse from mama. We've had to actually "Hold mama down" while allowing a kitten to nurse in these circumstances. Sometimes you get a mother cat who just isn't a good mom...and sometimes a mother cat senses a disorder in the kitten's physical being and refuses to nurse it (a Darwinian choice).
8976007 tn?1413330650 I got a kitten from a friend who lives on a farm. the parents are wild, feral cats. I do believe she gave her to me a week or 2 early. She is loved dearly, but she is mean. you can just be sitting there and she will jump up and bite you and scratch you and then run away. if you get up at night and walk to the kitchen, be prepared to get ambushed on the way back. she is a little over 1 yr old, is there anything that can be done to stop her??? I have a 3.
1658070 tn?1302320704 I have a year old kitten and he was fixed when we got him from the shelter. When we first got him, he had a respiratory infection, which is pretty common in shelter cats. We took him to the vet and they said it would probably come back, so when he started having sneezing fits for 5 or 10 minutes, I figured it was probably just to do with that. However, I've started to notice that his urine smells very strong lately.
Avatar f tn Keep doing your pelvic floor exercises. I hardly did last pregnancy and, now I leak when sneezing. I'm pregnant again but making sure to do ten sets a. Dayits already improved.
