Avatar n tn I was very nervous at first but after I was educated and understood how and what they do, I felt more comfortable. I strongly recommend you talk with your doctor and then decide if its right for you.
Avatar m tn I actually agree overall with mammo. There is good reason not to use the enemas for more than occasional stubborn constipation. Even conventional doctors say this. Be cautious, too, about overuse of laxatives. Even with stubborn cases of chronic constipation, as might happen with IBS, be very cautious about becoming dependent on laxatives. That's a very dangerous and slippery road.
458072 tn?1291415186 I also do coffee enemas regularly...Non-decaf natural coffee and natural filter..I try to do this early in the day and feel a difference.
Avatar f tn Hello, I must ask why are you using the enemas? Did the doctor prescribe them because you have been constipated? You stated that you have used 8 of them already, is that in one day or over some time? It is possible your pain is from the frequent enemas but it is hard to say. Please give more info so that I may be able to answer your questions.
1763947 tn?1334055319 I think it helps reduce the ringing in my ears. I bought all the components to do coffee enemas, but my hubby and mom talked me out of doing them. Some Lymies insist they feel better after the enemas.
7913021 tn?1418048620 I agree with Ashleigh, coffee helps me. I was doing enemas almost every other day. I finally resulted into taking a small amount of castor oil. Due in less than a week so if it assisted with starting labor i sad fine. I tthrew it all up but had a clean system that lasted two days. Back to trying coffee because castor oil experience wasn't a good one.
Avatar f tn I am a first time mother with only 5 days left until my due date. I've done this all natural so far not taking anything except Tylenol and prenatals.I really don't want to accidentally induce labor. Is there anything I can do to relieve constipation that's safe this far into pregnancy?
Avatar f tn I have never had to do enemas, but have you tried adding magnesium citrate to help your muscles?
Avatar n tn I gotcha. Same thing happened to me, I telephoned doc on-call, and he told me to go to the drugstore and get some BabyLax or PediaLax, it's a small box with a bunch of ointment tubes in there, squirt two in your rear, and it'll come out in minutes. The lubrication and the muscle stimulation meds in the ointment makes it work. You may have to repeat. I always keep a little box of that in my medicine cabinet for those rough times.
Avatar f tn Well, I cannot speak to possible inadequate muscular control of the exit area, but I can tell you a tip that might help "bind," to use your word, the waste in your digestive tract. If you aren't already, whole grains might help that leakage thing, like 100 percent whole wheat bread, if you'll eat a slice every day, might do the trick.
Avatar f tn So i woke up today feeling normal when i suddenly had to use the restroom but when i got there i couldnt go i couldnt pee or poop (sorry tmi) and i still cant go and in a great deal of pain its unbearable. Ove tried stool sofeners, warm prune juice, coffee, eating foods with fiber and nothing is working! I need help on how i could fix this problem and soon!
Avatar n tn s advice have been taking 4-5 enemas at home about every other day. Even with the enemas there is minimal production and/or relief, not to mention to unbearable cramping pains! I have had an abdominal/pelvic CT scan, lower GI, sigmoidoscopy, as well as many abdominal X-rays with no diagnosis. My pathology report has come back normal from my flex sig., however, my surgeon did say that during the procedure he noticed an area that was somewhat rigid and would not inflate with the air.
Avatar f tn Hello and welcome to the forum. I am so very sorry about your friend. At this point, palliative care would be very helpful. It is normal a part of care and comes when someone is just looking for comfort care as they enter these stages of disease or life. They would greatly help her in terms of how to handle a bowel blockage. Now, a blockage has specific symptoms. https://www.webmd.
Avatar f tn herpes is a virus of opportunity. Anything you do that compromises your immune system, i.e., too much sun, not eating properly and regularly, consuming too much sugar, letting yourself get exhausted or run down... any one of these things can trigger outbreaks. It believed that certain foods are triggers, too, like peanuts and chocolate together... i dunno what else. You really have to pay attention to your triggers and try to avoid them. Go for foods with high anti-oxidant content...
Avatar f tn I have not had a regular bm in a week. I am losing sleep and my stomach literally feels like it's doing flips. I have tried stool softeners, hot tea, coffee, relaxing. And nothing! I am miserable. Hubby has tried everything to help me, but it won't budge. Also, on top of this, it seems I have caught a cold from goodness knows where. This is causing me to not be able to sleep either as I am up all night coughing.
Avatar m tn Defecation is easier if I put lubrication in my anal canal and take a hose and shoot some water inside for an enema. Coffee enemas were in the Merck Manual until 1972 and male gays do this all the time, so I regard all the precautions and "dangers" listed on various websites as a product of the sissy culture now spreading in the English speaking world.
Avatar f tn t be good for you or baby..maybe visit the ER and see what they can do for you..poor thing I know your probably so uncomfortable!prayers going your way!
