To my knowledge this is the only infection that causes green discharge. Bacterial vaginosis causes a fishy smelling white discharge, a yeast infection causes a thick clumpy white discharge. you need to see a doctor as soon as possible and get antibiotics.

An yeast infection usually causes itching plus discharge. If yeast you can get over the counter cream at any store.

For the last couple of months - i have been suffering with quite a bit of vaginal discharge (heavy at times) and its a yellowish colour and smells sour....there are days when its less and days that its more - but overall this has been a consistent problem for me. I would say the last 8-10 months. I was prescribed heavy antic biotics...some say its bacterial vaginosis and some say it is normal. One doctor says to douche with apple vinegar and others says to leave it alone - it cleans itself.

ok ive been having a vaginal discharge for over a month now, i thought it was nothing..... then it went from white to yellow then from yellow to green and there is a very strong odour too..... before this happened i had, had with someone and a week or to it popped up.... i have been tested but am still waiting for the results but am curious t o see what it could be??

What you are noticing is probably simply leukorrhea -- a mild-smelling milky fluid or discharge, caused by an increased blood flow to the area around the vagina.
