what causes gas in infants

I feel Gerd and milk allergy are grossly overdiagnosed in infants. Lactose overload has been diagnosed in breast-fed infants now - and I believe it is also found in babies.

I just had gas drops and baby Tylenol. Other than that if you need anything a doctor will recommend it. But, you shouldn't really need anything much more than that for the first couple months.

Already moms.. Does anybody know any gas remedies for infants other than moving their legs around. Has anyone tried gas drops ?. My 5week older has been screaming her head off, she's gassy .

I had this problem in my first trimester, I had really bad trapped gas it was so painful I would lay on my side just waiting for relief and it would take forever. I would try different positions to try and get some release but it only lasted my first trimester, by my second it went away thank god. Maybe talk to your doctor for any help, or look online for suggestions. I'm pretty sure there is stuff you can take to help relieve the gas.

thermometer, suction bulb (but they should give that to you in the hospital), nail clippers, gas drops. You shouldn't use infant tylenol unless a doctor recommends it and even then I think the earliest is like 3 months.

I've had 6 negative pregnancy test but continue to have painfully tender breasts, lower back and abdominal pain, gas and strangely sometimes shoulder pain. if it's not pregnancy what else could be causing it all?

Can these cause constipation in infants?? My baby girl hasn't pooped since last night and I had given those to her the night b4 and last night. Shes only a week and a half old. I know this is the pregnancy form but it helped me so much during my pregnancy so...

Hi Aidens_Mom, Ya it's new to me also that asthma causes a 103 degree fever! Asthma can lead to pneumonia but not the other way around. When steroids are inhaled into the lungs to treat asthma it creates an immune suppression and can make the person more susceptible to infection. This is a scary thing for a mother not to mention your son and should be investigated further. I would recommend they refer you to a Immunologist,and have the level of antibodies your son has evaluated.

i do feel a slight heaviness in the back of my neck and in my back . like ive got something leaning on me . Also when i get these pains sometimes it can take my breath away because of the pain . also i noticed somtimes when i lay down i would get s sharp pain to. she is going to bathroom good now she was very constipated off the first two formulas and is sleeping alot better than when she was on isomil..but now with the nutramigen she spits/vomits alot now...My question to you is what formula can i switch too that will help with her belly not hurting and her sleeping good getting her rest and not constipate her?

Honestly, in my opinion, babies are so wrapped up in this new world, all the new things going in for them, that a little cold (virus) hardly slows them down. it could be your baby is behind because she doesn't feel well all the time, and THAT is holding her back. lately i'm feeling bloating in my stomach and change in stool odor. its like more gas i have to release and it smells bad when i poop. what might this be? i've been really stressed lately and too anxious as well. i think i'm depressed coz of frequent mood swings and panic attacks. and after eatin when i feel like full and burp it feels kinda sour. can IBS cause this or is it some kind of bacteria. i feel like this since after i made out with a girl.

t digesting like they use too it causes heart burn as well as built up gas which is why half of us are always constipated lol. My gas cramps came on strong this morning and as soon as I got up and moved around so did the gas!!!
