t having contractions yet but I went to the hospital just in case and on the way up to the hospital the contractions started and when I got there I was 5 cm dilated and baby boy was coming soon and I had him a little over an hour later.

i haven't been checked yet :/ i went for my 34 week appointment on Monday and my doctor took my measurements and the baby's heartbeat but that's it. i get BH contractions from time to time but i don't believe they are real contractions. I'm sure at my 36 week appointment ill get checked.

I'm 29 weeks, And since yesterday I've been having sharp pains/Cramps I guess you could say in my left and lower stomach. And also a Sharp pain and pressure down there(vagina) I'm good with water I've drank plenty today, and I've tried laying on my left side but I'm still hurting. This May sound dumb but are these contractions? And what do I do? I don't wanna go to the hospital unless I Absoutly have to.

Size of a leek, weight of a small watermelon at 37 weeks... Just had 2 hours of irregular contractions in middle of night... It's my 3rd full-term pregnancy, but I'm still anxious! Maybe since I'm 40...

re not doctors lol and all pregnancy and contractions are different you can try timing them and if there in a pattern u definitely wanna go bc you definitely don't want your baby to come this early it's always better to be safe than sorry I know from experience bc I have lost a baby at 34 weeks...

I get a weird painful feeling in my vagina, it feels like strings inside being pulled and it hurts bad! (Only last a few seconds) are these contractions?? Arent contractions like cramps? Its hard to explain the feeling but i feel it a little above my vagina!

now than 2weeks ago. I just never had this with my son, I was induce and my contractions went from 0 to 6 in a half an hour....

When in doubt... call the doctor girl. That's what they are there for! Also try timing the pain and watch to see if they get closer together no matter what you do. Also you can try walking around the block or your house. I'm on pregnancy # 3 and every time I went into labor it felt like diarrehea cramps to me! Good luck!

Babies can drop earlier in the pregnancy and the pregnancy continues until the due date. Some babies I have heard, do not drop until the woman actually goes into labor. I am surprised that they did not do an internal exam on you since you were complaining about having contractions. Each doctor is different. In my own experience having babies, my first baby dropped early, at around eight months; but went on to be delivered a couple of weeks after my due date.

ve been having sharp pains around my belly button along with fighting in my stomach....are these contractions?

Im 32 weeks pregnant and two weeks ago my dr noticed in the baby's heartbeat what she called PAC's and they were quite frequent, every couple beats or so. WHat are PAC's and should I be worried? What if they don't go away before the baby is born?

I had Braxton hicks from 36 weeks until the end. It was bad cramping in my uterus and it felt as if the muscles in my back, abdomen and uterus were all having spasms. I felt very nauseous and short of breath. It was pretty scary because I had never felt that kind of pitching and pain ever before. I notified my dr. Asap and she said it's completely normal to just rest and drink lots of water. Also some women never have Braxton hicks or feel the contractions it's all circumstancial.

There's so much ur body does / undergoes in preparation for labour: baby turns head down, baby drops / head gets fixed, lose your mucus plug, water breaks, contractions start, dilation, effacement, etc etc. It seems that some of these don't occur at all or have to be triggered during actual labour. but in what order and what stage of pregnancy do these events usually occur??

I haven't experienced any myself, but from what I understand they are like false contractions. They feel real but they aren't the start of labor. Usually hydrating and relaxing makes them go away. They aren't regular like real contractions are either.

Those are most definitely contractions. If they are coming close together at a normal rate then you should head to hospital.

Ok this is my third pregnancy so I know what it feels like to have contractions.. A couple hours ago I started hurting in my stomach. It was like my stomach was balling up. It hurt so bad to the point I wanted to cry. The first thing my husband asked me was if I was having contractions but I didn't think you could have them or bh this early in pregnancy. I will be 17 weeks tomorrow. I know I have been so extremely stressed out lately and I don't know if that could be causing this.

Iv never had these with pregnancy before and I don't see my doctor till Friday but all day yesterday and all day today iv had constant period like cramps that you would feel when getting ready to start your period, they aren't contractions so what are they??
