Why does your doctor prescribe Welchol for increased cholesterol? What about statins-Lipitor, Crestor? They are not advisable for people with ongoing hepatitis, but if you are SVR there should be no problem. They are much better tolerated than Wellchol.

I have an answer for you. I too had my GB out, and soon after had the same symptoms. I DIAGNOSED IT myself....not much initial help from the gastro MD. It is called "biliary diarrhea". Also, for pain, I'm surprised your doctor hasn't mentioned the Fentnyl patch, which will not be affected by your issues because its absorbed through your skin, not your stomach. Good luck!
