My weight seems to be totally out of control. To gain 10lbs in 1 month I would have to eat 35000 extra calories in a month, which is 1000 extra calories a day. I don't! And I exercise! But I have gained 10lbs the last 2 months.... mind you most of it happened in just a couple of days jump!

When I weighed myself at the pharmacy a week ago I was 161 pounds. when I weighed myself last night I was the same. I know it's best to weigh yourself at the same time of day and not more than once a week so I decided Monday morning would be my time to get on the scales from now on so I can keep a record of how I'm doing.

I was averaging 4-5 lbs per month and I think I'll fall short this time on that. It could be good thing since the baby is getting "too big" but it concerns me. I also noticed I've been going # 2 more often now...sorry for the TMI....but before I was always constipated. Could going to the bathroom be causing my weight loss?

Avatar m tn Hi, I recently moved and joined a new gym, about a month ago. I had gained 2-3 pounds during the weeks prior to our stressful move, but nothing major. I'm 5'4" and my weight always topped out at 125, max. I go to the gym five times a week, for at least an hour to an hour and a half. I alternate days: cardio, weights, etc. I also *always* keep track of my fitness goals and daily calorie goals with livestrong.com - that's part of what has always kept me in check.

My husband will be away for two months on a job so I thought what better time to start back on WW and exercising. He hasn't always been supportive of my weight loss so he would buy things that would tempt me plus he would cook dinner at night and wouldn't think about what is good for me and what aint.

I'm seeing a lot of big fluctuations in my weight as well, not surprising since I am on several prescriptions and am dealing with an illness that causes systemic inflammation. Despite the circumstances, the truth is that I will lose this battle if I don't stay honest with myself!

Or, if you weighed yourself on different scales (e.g., at home versus at the doctor's office), they can be off by 5+ lbs (home scales are notoriously inaccurate). There would also be differences depending on clothing, time of day, etc. I would watch what you eat and wait until you are weighed at the doctor's again, with the same scale.

I'm down 0.6 lbs, I think from last week, but that is still up 0.9 from the weight I had been maintaining and up 1.5 from the low weight I'd hit.
