I also went gluten-free for a week, which made a difference as I was not constipated 20 or so minutes after eating anything with gluten in it. My digestive symptoms are worse when I consume pastry or bread - but I also get a lot of itchy skin at my neck after eating bread which I find odd. I haven't had any constipation problems for about 9 or 10 weeks from now.

Avatar m tn I just find it easier and more organized to do it online) Exercising will be helpful in your weight loss and overall health, but given your history, I would talk to a doctor just to make sure what exercises will be safe and how much you should be pushing yourself. Plain old walking is great though so if you're currently doing that, then keep it up! Best of luck to you!

I don't go, but would definitely start attending if I felt I needed to. If you have anything like that by you, I would recommend going. Also, to all of you who think you can't exercise throughout the winter months, YOU CAN! And it is great! You just learn to dress for it. And I took up cross country skiing, which makes winter even more enjoyable!

With in a week. I lost about a dozen symptoms. : ). No fried foods no oils at all. (extra virgin olive oil to cook with is okay just don't use slot. I think I use 2 Tbls. Hope that helps.
Avatar f tn We encourage everyone to utilize the weight tracker and food diary (the food diary is the only thing that has worked for me - I really need to be held accountable and seeing what things really contain in calories, etc. has made a huge difference). You might also want to use the water tracker, exercise tracker or even the sleep tracker (sleep really helps with weight loss).

My doctor says I am insulin resistant and he thinks this will help me loss weight. Should I ask to increase it? Or is it to soon?

Avatar f tn I have been steadily packing on the weight for a few years now and cannot loose for the life of me. my tsh,t3,t4 always come back in normal range. Since iam no longer on birth controll i have elevated testosterone levels. I have done excersize programs and yes its good and all but it's not painless to cary around 220 lbs! The doctors all they say is loose weight and that pcos while linked to obesity is not the cause. I do not beleive that at all.

OR just tune your radio to your favorite music and dance --- I used to do that all the time (never mind that I have no rhythm and can't dance at all). Avatar f tn Thanks for replying with great information. I didn't have my free T3 done this time but did in late Aug - don't know the number just that my doctor said my T3 and T4 were both fine. He didn't say "free" but free was on the lab script. I called today to get copies of all my past labs - should have them by Mon or Tues and will then add them to my tracker.

Please don't be hard on yourself if you don't see the weight come off as fast as you like. We all hit plateau's and I heard somewhere that you just have to increase your activity to get through a plateau.
