weight measurements in stones

Has anyone else been told theyre baby is measuring too big or too small??? It made me worry but thanks to research i relaxed a bit. At first i was even jealous of those saying theyre baby measured big. Shoot i rather my baby be ahead in size than behind.

Muscle is your friend... however, make sure your strength training (weight lifting) is utilizing low weight and high repetitions... you most likely do not want to bulk up.

I was 30 weeks 6 days and my baby was measuring 35 weeks. They estimated his weight at 5lbs 7 oz. I'm very nervous of having a big baby...but my doctor said the ultrasound could be off. He isn't worried. My belly was measuring 34 weeks though. I'm 32 weeks 5 days today.

It would be helpful not only to track weight but to have the option of tracking measurements. My weight has dropped significantly but I'm increasingly aware that I need to focus more on losing fat and building muscle. Maybe you could have a way of tracking body measurements and have a rough calculation of bodyfat percentage based on weight and measurements? (not entirely accurate, but better than nothing, certainly.

Thanks for the suggestion. We've added measurements for the chest, arm, calf, and thigh to the weight tracker.

Im 39+5 and I havent had an ultrasound since I was 20 weeks so no clue on weight.

I was thinking the same thing too, but I think it's just taking about the weight.

It would be nice if you could add some more measurements to the weight tracker such as bust, arm, thigh, calf. To keep track of all progress being made.

I had another at 20 weeks for measurements and to see the gender of my baby and I had one at 32 weeks to check measurements and I had at 34 weeks cuz my baby measures bigger than average

We never did introduce the body measurement tracker since it seemed that most people were pretty satisfied with the body measurements available in the Weight Tracker. What else would you like to track and I'll see if we need to add another tracker or add another option to the existing Weight Tracker.

i was at first worried a little but like they all said, i think its normal...i havent gained much weight in the last 4 weeks, only 3lbs so things must be good, you are probably fine...welcome back!

At 31 weeks my daughter was weighing 4 lbs 1/3 oz. But that was using belly measurements. I've read that any ultrasound measurements or belly measurements are never accurate and I'd always off by some change!

Did they actually measure baby through ultrasound or the measurements of your stomach (fundal height)?

The one i have now is 4cm. I have stones in both of my kidneys.I also have been to 3 -4 different doctors. They all have said that I am too fat, they are unable to take care of me. The stones are calcium phosphate. What i would like to know, besides loosing weigh, how can they be destroyed? I have been watching what i eat, that has calcium in it, and i still get them? Please let me know what i can do. This whole situation is making me fustrated.

Thanks for the feed back. I'm 35 , 5'2 and weight 186. My daily routine is Zumba, bike 10miles , and walk on treadmill for about 15min. However, I didn't take measurements I will do that today and check back in a few days.

Could just be a big baby who knows..

My wife has multiple stones in pancreas.It has been diluted about 14mm in size. She is suffering from abdoman pain. We have done ultrasound about 15 times & CT scan many times, only this is diagnosed. ones She has been operated for kidney stones also. I need advise what to do? Doctors says we should not go for surgery until it is not very serious.But she always has pain and has to take pain killer. She became dibitic too. She is not loosing weight. Is there any other treatment than surgery?

Lately I've been measuring it from the past 4 weeks. Today at 15 weeks I measure 38 inches but than again I'm tall and my body frame is slightly wide but I'm not over weight either, I'm thin is weird.

I am 35 weeks and in the same boat. I have gained more weight I feel than I needed but the doctor said my measurements are all on track. I get told all the time that I'm still so tiny. A lady at the bank even asked me what kind of diet I was on to stay that small. I haven't done anything differently. I just think of it as a positive. Hopefully I'll be back to my old self before I know it.

Um 32 weeks and my baby is measuring 30 weeks is that bad?

Im 30w and I asked my doc the same thing. They start measuring your stomach every 2 weeks starting at 28 weeks. If you measure bigger than normal then they will send you for an ultrasound to find out weight. Also if you are past due and such depending on your doctor they will give you an ultrasound to see how much the baby weighs.

Scans by ultrasound for length and weight can be off by as much as an ounce (or a full week for measurements). It is possible your baby is a little bigger or if you are diabetic you can have a bigger baby.

It is fine i had the same with my first i was always small & my midwife always sending me for scans but my baby was just fine, they said when she born she is small regarden 40W she was 3 kg but she was healthy baby, i didn't have problem with that as long as she is fine she gain weight afterwords , so no worries & good luck ;)

Body measurements. Weight can fluctuate or stay the same, but body measurements can sometime alert a doctor to conditions not considered by a patient. I would include the generic height and weight, as well as waist, chest, bust, neck, head, ankles (Left and Right), hips, abdomen (both upper and lower), etc.
