Avatar f tn That's an intolerence to gluten which is in most food. Some of the symptoms can be diarrhea and weight loss. As for the diarrhea, Pepto Bismo usually helps me. I know it can be a miserable thing. I hope you find out soon what's going on so you can get to feeling better!
Avatar n tn I would say that it is a 50/50 chance whether you would lose weight in the long run as the product wasn't designed as a weight loss product. (but I'm not a doctor so your dr. might be able to tell you what to expect).

Avatar f tn i don't have any weight loss secrets... except that i do just what you said joy about the eating the small frequent meals (and "try" to keep it healthy!). but after our youngest dd was born i purchased Turbo Jam from beachbody.com and i got addicted to it FAST!!! it's so much fun and by the time i found out we were preg again (dd was only 6 months old) i had lost almost all my baby weight already except for like 4-5 more pounds. also, i think it was on extra or something...
Avatar n tn I'm not sure that Wellbutrin is a weight loss miracle. For me, I've noticed that it curbs my appetite tremendously. I forget that I'm even hungry. I see that others feel the opposite, so it depends on the person. But I did switch drugs because I was on Zoloft for a year and a half and gained 30 lbs. and could not, for the life of me, lose any of it. I could eat 700 calories a day and exercise 30 minutes a day and still not lose one pound.
Avatar n tn I`m just now getting results using a weight loss clinic. Pills, shots, diet exercise, and not much food. And water, lots of water. I am still on effexor and probably will be for a while yet. This diet , is at least motivating me to really keep working at it and hopefully be able to get off the diet meds, and the effexor sometime,too.

Avatar f tn Congrats on your weight loss this year! I have to slightly disagree with the responses to do crunches. Not that doing crunches will do any harm, but ab work alone isnt enough to change your stomach. You arent going to see any kind of definition in your stomach if there is still a layer of fat covering your abs. And crunches don't burn enough calories to trim your stomach down either. Cardio will be more effective for trimming your waistline than crunches would be.

Yes .. it is what the doctor has said all along .. what you eat minus exercise burned equals what you weigh. Of note .. that may be of interest to the community .. is the National Weight Control Registry. Anyone who has lost at least 30 lbs and kept them off for at least a year is eligible to participate. Thanks for the reminder that ordinary, everyday people CAN BELIEVE and ACHIEVE their DREAMS!

Avatar f tn A year and a half ago I had a hysterectomy due to endometriosis. But I guess all my weight loss started after my youngest child was born... I was 140 lbs and had never been so heavy. I felt disgusting and starting hating food. I dropped 10 lbs. like it was nothing. Then another 10 lbs. came off. I started eating just half portions of whatever there was on my plate. That was about 2 years ago now. I fluxuate between 103 and 110 lbs and I am 5'6" tall. I hardly eat.
Avatar f tn Its probably not the best idea but I've done it with using rapid loss shakes. Having them as meals twice a day, then food for dinner. And lots and lots of water.

Avatar f tn Also exercise regularly, weight training as well as cardio. Don't ever believe the quick fixes to weigh loss because they will only make you put more weight on when you finish. Hope that helps!

Avatar f tn I hardly, if ever exercised which is why I think my weight loss stalled at 270-275. I've been getting stricter with my portions, have stopped eating at least 3 hours before bed and have been exercising everyday. The last 3 weeks I've been exercising every day which is such an improvement considering I used to go months without doing any real exercise. In the last month and a half I've lost about 10 or so pounds. My goal right now is to at least get down to 160lbs.
