Avatar m tn So, i am trying to lose weight. I start taking Xenical Weight Loss Pills since yesterday. Is that pill work ? Does anyone take those pills before ? Are there any terrible side effects ? Please suggest me and advice me.
Avatar n tn I am so shocked to hear this - it screams of 2 things - desperation or addiction. This is not safe, or healthy - She is obviously comfortable injecting herself and able to get hold of needles and syringes but what on earth gave her the idea to do this.... I would suggest 'your friend' stops doing this immediatley and seeks medical advice and counsel on the best way to lose weight SAFELY!
Avatar n tn Don't take the diet pills if you have high BP! They will definitely mess with your heart. You can end up with palpitations for one thing and it will make things worse. Just tell your doctor you can't lose any weight or you're gaining weight. Maybe he can help with the weight loss.
764218 tn?1234569759 I would say that most of the weight loss products do not work. Ali is the only one that is approved by the FDA as being safe and effective; however, I understand that it has some unpleasant side effects. The best and safest way to lose weight is through diet alterations and exercise. You need to figure out how many calories/day you need to maintain you current weight, then cut that amount enough to produce a calorie deficit. Do not go below 1000-1200 calories/day.

Avatar f tn This cycle will backfire and cause the body to store fat. There are alot of pills out there that will bring short term weight loss. The challenge is not so much losing the weight but keeping it off. Only serious lifestyle changes that include a balanced diet and exercise will help you to effectively manage your weight. Nobody wants to hear that but it's true. I suggest mutual support groups and counselling to help you explore the reasons why you over eat.
Avatar n tn hi I need help losing weight I do not know what weight loss pill is the best please help me plese
Avatar f tn In addition, many herbal weight loss pills have ingredients that can have powerful adverse side effects. I agree that you should see your doctor and be sure to research any herbal products you decide to take.
Avatar n tn Can anyone please provide me wiht some information as to how to lose the weight and what I can expect realistically. Are any diet aids- pills safe to take without risking my heatlh. I excerise 3-4 days a week not sur ehow else to fix this disease.
Avatar f tn I agree that most weight loss pills are not approved by the FDA; the ones that are, require a prescription from your doctor....... Can you give us an idea of a typical day's food/beverage intake? *IF* you had time to exercise, what would you prefer to do? Weight loss will need to be accomplished through a combination of proper diet and exercise.
Avatar f tn They have a lot of vitamins in them. After the diet is over, is safe/good or bad that I continue taking the pills, maybe once a day...to maintain my weight loss? Or is it best to stop taking them?
Avatar n tn LipoSan with Chitosan; Hydoxycut; Hoodia, Fahrenheit... etc. The bottom line is that these pills can't mimic or substitute exercise and self-monitoring of food consumption... that kind of control (discipline) lies in the mind of the individual. At best, some of these pills offer vitamin and mineral supplementation, which you could get in most inexpensive 1 a day vitamin/ mineral tabs.
Avatar f tn I'm excersising and eating healthy food, and hoping that 4 kg will go away :D
Avatar f tn Pill are usually the last resort. Just cut off juck food and stay active. to keep yourself motivated have a cheat day ones a month; if not is going to get really boring. Btw the pill that "increase your metabolism" is marketing ********. The metabolism you are born with it will chance during puperty, after that you will stay with it for the rest of your life, it does not increase if you take pills. You can help you metabolism, yes. but not increase the rate.
1110747 tn?1295844043 I actually asked a pharmacist if it was ok to take, and she said that it causes a lot of problems with people. If you read the back you'll see a list of possible side effects. If I were you I'd try something like slim fast. I went to their website and they say it's ok to take before you get pregnant and even while you are pregnant, there's nothing in it to make you lose weight it's just a milk shake and the snack bars are like a not so junky candy bar.
Avatar n tn t help me lose at all. But that is me. Hoping to get rid of B/P pills when done, already my knees are better, my back is getting better, Also hoping to control this blood sugar with diet alone soon. Keep up the good work. Take it slow. Don't be in a hurry. And question your doctors advice. Your the one in charge of your life and health. Good Luck.
Avatar m tn You might have your start and end dates set too close to each other and/or are trying to lose more weight than is safe in that time frame.
Avatar f tn I understand what you are going through. I am the same way. I have been struggling with my weight since I was very young. The biggest advice I have for you is to make your goals a little smaller. There is absolutely no healthy way to lose 55 pounds in five months. A healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds a week. To lose weight and be happy about your progress you need to make realistic goals. Know your portions and try to get protein at every meal.
1 alligator No but I have read the book the doctors diet.
Avatar f tn Hello~If you haven't already, please discontinue those pills. The only true way to loose weight and keep it off is old-fashioned dieting as the above poster has stated, all the other ways are "quick fixes" but usually the results are short lived and they can wreck your health. Any pill that ends in "mine" are stimulants, they are not safe.
Avatar n tn Michele Nickels in Milwaukee, WI offers vitamin injections for weight loss and hCG-the weight loss cure. www.drnickels.
Avatar n tn Losing 20 lbs a month is not a reasonable goal, no matter how obese you are. Safe weight loss is 1-2 lbs/week.
