1285110 tn?1420147378 So far, since joining Medhelp, I've gone from 191.4 to 183 which is a 4.39% loss. My peak weight was 242...I'm down 24.38% from there...though at one time, when I was maintaining a 100 lb. weight loss for a couple of years, I was down 41.32%. If I achieve my goal weight of 128, it'll be a 33.12% loss from my 191.4 starting weight since joining this site, a 30.05% loss from my current weight and a 47.11% weight loss from my highest ever weight.
1285110 tn?1420147378 My weight loss goal seems to match the pounds of body fat exactly! Always nice to know that I am on the right track to a weight that is healthy for me. Oh & on the body fat % chart I fall under the average fat % & not under the obese. Just goes to show that while BMI may be a good starting statistic, it should not be the only thing you use to determine your health.
Dog The Raspberry Ketone comprises an antioxidant that happens to be the chief ingredient to work on weight loss. The efficacy of the Raspberry Ketone diet has been earlier tested on mice in Japan & Korea. Under both the observations the mice were given a high fat diet along with a dose of raspberry ketone. Despite the high fat diet the mice did not gain weight. The Raspberry Ketone apparently aids to boost the adiponectin hormone in the body, which helps to regulate blood glucose and weight.
Avatar f tn Here is the answer to this question. In order to lose weight, you have to subtract calories. Safe weight loss is 1-2 lbs/week, so in order to lose 1 lb/week, you'd have to drop 500 calories from your BMR each day (1 lb is equal to 3500 calories, so 500 calories X 7 days = 3500 calories or 1 lb). OR you can drop 250 calories from your diet and increase exercise to use an additional 250 calories. Changing up calorie counts and exercises will help prevent plateau.

Avatar f tn The best way to achieve permanent weight loss is to lose the weight slowly about 2 lbs per week is normal. Your doctor can also advise you what kind of exercise would help you with your weight loss. You can't lose 60 ibs purely by trying to run if off. Not realistic. You also have to be careful because of your current weight. Too much running at your current weight would put a strain on your heart, your legs, your back.
Avatar f tn Yeah, if you're 29 weeks, I'd say you are fine, since you weren't overweight before. Just set a goal weight, and work on that. I normally weigh 130 and I'm 5'3". I decided 20 lbs would be enough weight by the end. So my goal is to not go over 150.
Avatar n tn Hello, I am a 29 year old female, 5'4 and 131 pounds. I recently lost over 100 pounds in the course of a year through diet and exercise. (starting weight 244 in September of 2010). I have always been overweight, and now have a lot of excess skin, which is to be expected. My question is about my ideal weight. My goal started at 150 pounds, then 140, then 130, now I'm thinking my ideal would be 120.
Avatar f tn According to the final calculator, based on a current weight of 147 lbs and a goal weight of 130 lbs, it is recommended that you lose 1 lb per week. This would put you at your goal weight December 14, 2008. Would highly suggest you print this information off, discuss it with your parent(s) and your physician and obtain their advice and support in your efforts. Hope this information is helpful. Take care and eat some more calories .. ok?
Avatar f tn Next, determine your weight-loss goal. A pound of fat requires a weekly caloric deficit of approximately 3500 calories. Using a traditional diet plan, this means eating about 500 fewer calories per day. Using calorie cycling, you will stagger the deficit across seven days, with some days having a higher caloric deficit than others. You can choose to fluctuate your calorie-deficit days with your high-calorie days any way that works for your lifestyle.
Avatar f tn If you weigh less now, than you did when you started, the amount of weight loss is the difference between what your weight was and what it is now. You have to subtract.
Avatar n tn I doubt that any doctor would support a weight loss goal of 25 lbs. per month unless you would be morbidly obese. Most of the weight you would lose would be water weight anyway, and it would come back quickly. I recently consulted with a weight loss doctor who prescribed a sensible diet (moderately low carb) and the medication Adipex. That combination was magic for me. The diet resulted in rapid weight loss, and the prescribed medication made it easier for me to follow the diet.
Avatar f tn ve lost about 30lbs in the past year but I feel as if I get closer to my goal weight it becomes harder. I want to weigh around 120-125lbs. Any suggestions on what to eat? Or specific types of excersices?
Avatar n tn Calories are not the major factor in weight gain or loss. Some high calorie foods are great for weight, such as fatty fish. The biggest factor is how you metabolize what you eat into sugar and how well you digest what you eat. I don't think any calorie calculator will help you lose weight, but basically, if you increase the output of energy you will probably lose weight. If you cut down on the amount you eat without eliminating the healthy foods you will probably lose weight. Slowly.

Avatar f tn Safe weight loss is 1-2 lbs/week, so it's feasible to lose 10 lbs in a month. Whether it's healthy or not, depends on how you do it. If you simply calculate your daily caloric needs and cut your intake to that, eating healthy food and getting a reasonable amount of exercise, then it's healthy. If you're going to take drugs or weight loss supplements and try starving yourself, it won't be healthy.
