If I achieve my goal weight of 128, it'll be a 33.12% loss from my 191.4 starting weight since joining this site, a 30.05% loss from my current weight and a 47.11% weight loss from my highest ever weight.

Always nice to know that I am on the right track to a weight that is healthy for me. Oh & on the body fat % chart I fall under the average fat % & not under the obese. Just goes to show that while BMI may be a good starting statistic, it should not be the only thing you use to determine your health.

There are a lot of great free online resources that are extremely helpful. Next is exercise. I'm not sure what type of exercise you were recommended to do, but you don't have to exert yourself on an extreme level.

Avatar n tn Also, if the bodygem said you needed roughly 1200 cals/d for weight loss, I really wouldn't go below that level because it can actually make it more difficult for you to lose weight. You also might want to consider seeing a Registered Dietitian but if you do, I'd make sure beforehand that they also have some type of exercise background (ACSM/ACE certification, Kinesiology Degree, etc.) I know it can be frustrating but don't lose hope.

The goal date was set using a weight loss calculator on the internet that basically tells you if your goal is realistic in your chosen time frame. My goal date was set at the very first day the calculator did not warn me that it was an unhealthy loss for that period. Hopefully, I was not too aggressive.

In any case, if I'd lost 1 lb per week since this date last year, I would weight 131 today. Instead, impatient to lose it faster, I set more ambitious goals and then, when I didn't achieve them, I became discouraged and lost focus & hope.

They're fine once in awhile but more than one a week is too many. Well seeing that your droping weight fast can cause periods to be lost. It's might not be that and missing a period ussaly dosent mean anything. Although if you don't get it again then you have lost it. Don't feel bad about that.

I do fine during the day, but at night I have noticed I am having a terrible time not craving and giving in to these cravings for carbs. Bread and sweets in particular. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I did lose 7 lbs the first week, but I'm concerned about regaining if I fall off this plan. Thanks again!
