weight

Avatar f tn As far as weight goes the baby center gives you a wright gain chart based on your bmi. However I think your body will do as it needs and all you have to do is try to eat a well rounded diet and stay healthy and active.
348660 tn?1230405773 Has anyone googled this before?? I just looked at it. My son, who will be 3 in January was conceived the month of April when I was 24 & it shows he was to be a boy...I did other friends of mine & they were right too!!! Just wondering if anyone else out there has looked at this chart & if it was accurate? I just miscarried Monday but it says I was pregnant with a girl! Please let me know if anyone else has looked at this & if it was accurate for them!??
118074 tn?1228332603 Just keep introducing different food to your baby and let him eat the same kind for awhile before giving him a different one. He'll eventually start liking normal food and gaining weight. For the time being, for him to gain weight, lots of bubbas/breastmilk (whichever you're doing).
Avatar n tn On average it takes a couple a year of trying during the fertile time to get pregnant. Every month you have a 20% chance of getting pregnant. And once you get off birth control it can take your body a while to get back to normal. Have you tried OPK's or have you done BBT? It will happen, just give it time.
Avatar f tn When I had my last sono my baby boy was ahead of the weight chart to ....last couple months they grow quick so kind of hard to tell yet bc still have tje last months that' theu will grow the most my first was 9.7 and last I had sono my baby boy was almost 2 lbs when it said he should only be like 1.2-1.5 lbs ...
Avatar n tn Hats off to you for delivering a 9.5 pound baby dear! Is he on his growth chart?? Is your doctor worried about his weight? My baby had gas and reflux and I did a lot of research on it at the time. Many boys actually have an immature sphincter muscle and will spit up almost in a violent way. My son sure did. They outgrow this. I added the gas drops to a bottle a few times a day and that helped.
Avatar m tn kricky, you have to realize that the WIC people are used to seeing mothers who don't care if their kids eat, and homes where kids have no food whatsoever. You're not like that, you have food and you feed her. Just understand that when they see a child not gaining weight they are used to mothers who don't care at all and don't feed their children. You need to tell them what you are doing, and what you feed her.
Avatar f tn Hi. With both of my kids, I gained alot of weight with both. I love my figure and wanted it back as well. The day I had the children, I made sure to bring a post surgical body shaper with me, and I wore it everyday for two months. On both of the.children, I was back in my prepregnancy clothes, with no nasty flab in 4Weeks, however, I still wore the bodyshaper for 8 Weeks BC the hormones that shape your body while pregnany stays with you for roughly 2 months postpartum.
1311499 tn?1273679555 one day i might do it again but at my age 144 is not to bad, dont stress it, your healthy and not over weight by my drs chart at 5 we should weight 125
2020005 tn?1476662562 But he was always small after his initial birth weight of over 8 pounds. My doctor tracks kids on their own curves. Some kids are smaller and that is THEIR normal. That is the case with my son. During his first couple of months, they had me feed him all the time on a every two hour schedule. He exclusively nursed. Man, I was tired. But I did it and honestly, he ate very well. He was just small.
Avatar n tn would it be so bad if I discontinued eating potatoes/pasta/bread on a regular basis (I wouldnt cut it out completey, just limit to maybe a day or two per week). I dont want to call this a diet for I am not looking to lose weight, I just want to slow down my gain. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thank you!
620923 tn?1452919248 U do not need to tell us ur weight or how much u want to lose,u may just want to weight in on current events in the news or on a topic Chiari related..... We can also bond over weight loss trials and tribulations as well.....recipes will still be a thread on Thursdays..... It seems no one was into the exercises for those with limitations.....but if neone is...u can post here about that too....
Avatar f tn You should only gain a little bit of weight while pregnant if your over weight.
Avatar n tn I take topamax to control seizures and I must say that I am surprised doctors prescribe it for weight loss alone, and that you are willing to put up with the side effects of it just for weight loss when there are other weight loss drugs out there. The "goofiness and loss of words" bothers me tremendously. I have been taking it since April and that hasn't abated any. Unfortunately I did not experience any weight loss or loss of appetite from it like everyone says. I take 200 mg a day.
Avatar n tn I have digenerative disc disease and my neirologist just prescribed topamax, he said it would help with the pain and tingling but could result in weight loss. I am wondering if prescribing topamax for ddd is common among neurologists? I can't seem to find any other information related to topamax as a pain med, only information I have is that it's a powerful drug with lots of side effects, most not so good. The weight loss aspect is the only plus...
Avatar n tn I would say that it is a 50/50 chance whether you would lose weight in the long run as the product wasn't designed as a weight loss product. (but I'm not a doctor so your dr. might be able to tell you what to expect).
187233 tn?1271025763 Breastfeeding is usually the healthiest way to go and if he is not dehydrated, seems content and is reaching milestones, I'd just make sure that once the doc is certain nothing else is going on, that your baby just gets weighed frequently and the weight is being plotted on a growth chart- every baby should have their own growth curve. Some kids are just growing in the 25th percentile.
Avatar f tn I so want to lose that weight and be thin again. Does anyone have any tips. I have begun doing daily exercise, but I tend to eat at night, which I know is bad. Is there a vitamin supplement or something that reduces hunger?
Avatar f tn Brandy, according to this chart, he is well below even the 1% mark, indicating he is "off the chart" low. http://www.keepkidshealthy.com/growthcharts/boysbirth.html Has he always been low weight? How is his height compared to the chart? That was something our pediatrician always looked for - a consistent pattern.
1260569 tn?1286047674 hi my daughter has always been a bad eatter since she was born she wouldnt take more than 4oz of formula which never really finshed at every feed, she began to drink more milk when i put her onto cows milk when she was about 13 months she does not eat much at all and there is times she just drinks loads of milk, ive been told to cut down her milk and try to get her to eat more which i have down but shes not eat any more than she was before, she had a blood test done and the only thing i know of
Avatar n tn The doctors go by charts that say that a child of this age should be this weight....they DO NOT take into consideration the build of the parents or the birth weight of the child. Which I think is wrong!!! My son is just over 20 pounds which puts him at the 3rd percentile according to the doctors chart. My doctor does not seem overly concerned since he is reaching his milestones and is growing taller. He is a happy baby and eats ALL the time.
Avatar f tn I eat healthly but am a terrible picker of sweet things. It is very hard when you are two kids and loads of goodies in the house and a husband who has a very sweet tooth. The challenge is to be 2.5 inches smaller in the waist, 1 inch on each thigh and 2 inches off hips. The treat at the end is Una and myself are going to Italy for 4 days in October. Also a bit of competition is doing us both good. Neither of us want to be the fatty beside each other.
Avatar n tn The March of Dimes website has a good chart of average weight gain during pregnancy, by week. I'd look it up. It sounds to me like your doctor is being a jerk.
Avatar n tn so i brought it up to my doctors and they said he under weight and has been off the chart since he was 4 month old. why didn't they say something then instead of me having to ask? now they want to give him 6 months to grow and put him on a growth hormone and if that does not work a feeding tube. i really dont think he needs that stuff he healthy does everything normal like any other child he just no a big eater.
427265 tn?1444080036 even without significant weight loss? I have only lost four pounds in 4 months and bounce back and forth between them. Yet several people now have commented on my "weight loss". Yesterday a lady even said, "I like what you've done with your hair." ??? (Hasn't changed in years). But if I look closely, I can see that my face has thinned quite a bit...not gaunt, but more defined, I guess. Every other part seem thinner except for my stomach...
Avatar n tn I'll be 46 at the end of this month & just moved to a new state so I don't have the luxury of knowing any doctors. In the last 1-2 months I suddenly gained 40 + lbs & look pregnant. That seems to be where the weight all is. A urinalysis proved negative for pregnancy on Monday & with my 3 grown kids I did not gain this much weight &/or so fast. I just look pregnant & feel "full - heavy - tired & short of breath" most of the time.
Avatar n tn I was looking back on my weight loss chart and saw that within 3 weeks of starting lexapro each time, I had a significant weight gain. I went from 175 to 185 the first time and then continued to gain despite following the program and exercising. When I went off the med, the weight began to drop and I made it down below 200. I started it again in February this year and within 3 weeks, here came another 10 pounds and it's been steadilly going up ever since.
Avatar n tn When you get your baby checked at the pedi's office, often they weigh and measure your baby/child and then tell you what percentile your child is for avg growth for other children his/her age. Apparently this chart was created based largely on a study funded by formula companies and so the growth is based on formula fed babies. Breastfed babies apparently avg out slightly smaller.
Avatar n tn It's the March of Dimes chart on how much weight gain is desirable during pregnancy. I don't see where the doctor got the snide remark, myself. I'm at 30 weeks and have gained 21 lbs. and that hasn't bothered my doctor at all.
Avatar n tn Since then I have been biking off 500+ calories a DAY - per the digital readout on my bike. My problem - I'm not losing ANY weight...I've gained 2 pounds!!! I did notice that my pants fit better and that I'm looking leaner but I still want to get back to 145 not bulk up with muscle! How do I get back to losing weight WHILE getting in more exercise?
