272759 tn?1270489194 hi girls, this is our new private forum! i have been talking with harry from medhelp and he says that this is a semi private forum just for us to chat!!! so, whenever you have any updates, post a question and we can start a conversation about it. this will keep the chats shorter so it won't be as hard/long for us to open! also, for those of you that don't have profiles set up, you can do that to and we can message eachother personally. you can also add pictures, journals, etc.
118074 tn?1228332603 Just keep introducing different food to your baby and let him eat the same kind for awhile before giving him a different one. He'll eventually start liking normal food and gaining weight. For the time being, for him to gain weight, lots of bubbas/breastmilk (whichever you're doing).
272759 tn?1270489194 hi girls, i hope you made the switch with me...we will have to do this every now and then on our big conversation threads to keep things from getting too long and slow to load... to the new girls, you can also just post random questions by clicking on post a question and you will get answers that way too!

594189 tn?1386920207 Oh and one more thing, great job on the weight loss! Being over weight is one of the primary reasons for infertility. Keep up the good work. I bet you're efforts will really pay off.
Avatar f tn com/ip/reproductive_years/pregnancy/p_twins_normal_high.html with a chart on suggested weight gain for twins.- It says if you are 5'2" or smaller then the weight gain should be on the lower curve not higher curve.... which indicates i should have gained 24 lbs.....so since both girls are right on track, it appears that they have gained just fine and I have lost 5 kgs of ME. I love hearing from and comparing with those pregnant now and those who already had their twins.

Avatar n tn I would say that it is a 50/50 chance whether you would lose weight in the long run as the product wasn't designed as a weight loss product. (but I'm not a doctor so your dr. might be able to tell you what to expect).
Avatar n tn I have digenerative disc disease and my neirologist just prescribed topamax, he said it would help with the pain and tingling but could result in weight loss. I am wondering if prescribing topamax for ddd is common among neurologists? I can't seem to find any other information related to topamax as a pain med, only information I have is that it's a powerful drug with lots of side effects, most not so good. The weight loss aspect is the only plus...
Avatar n tn Sometimes salt can be the culprit in fast weight gain. And depending on your weight, the norm is said to be 25-35 lbs. I have only known a few girls who have gained the low end with their pg. Most women I know have gained 30+ lbs. It may be a good idea to lay off the sweets or substitute them with healthier alternatives (raisins instead of candy, etc). A good book to check out is What to Eat When You Are Expecting. It offers many healthy (and tasty) recipes that fit well with pregnancy.
Avatar n tn What a surprise! I switched from Effexor RX to Wellbutrin just today. I have been on the former for a year and have had very, very good results. My sexual appetite did decrease, a bit. It went from 4 times a day to only two, but my boyfriend needed the break anyway. The reason I switched was because I gained 20 lbs! Each time I would mention it to my doctor he would tell me that at my height, my weight of 120 lbs is still considered "within the range".
Avatar f tn I m 32 n 5 days today and my OB said , I m gaining too much weight and need to control , started my pregnancy with 131 and now its 164.8 pound. Acc to BMI chart, I should not gain more than 35 pound, which I already crossed? Please advice what should I do? Or anyone experiencing same situation?
145997 tn?1196795421 I also have to agree however, ultrasounds are only gesti-mation of weight, but that weight is a little big. Have you been checked for diabetes?
Avatar n tn and further more the very next morning i swear....i have gained more weight! i am literally gaining weight EVERY DAY.
Avatar n tn I was looking back on my weight loss chart and saw that within 3 weeks of starting lexapro each time, I had a significant weight gain. I went from 175 to 185 the first time and then continued to gain despite following the program and exercising. When I went off the med, the weight began to drop and I made it down below 200. I started it again in February this year and within 3 weeks, here came another 10 pounds and it's been steadilly going up ever since.
Avatar m tn I just went for my check up yesterday and I weigh 189lbs. I can't lose any weight. Also, I have Asthma so my ability to exercise is limited however I am so tired that I am not exercising at all. I used to do Aerobics everyday and dance and now I can't even dance to one song I am all out of breath. Can someone please help me and tell me how to eat and what I can do to lose the weight. I am getting so depressed because of this and very unhappy. I can't stand to look in the mirror.
Avatar f tn I know this is a pretty frequently talked about topic, but I was wondering how much weight everyone gained w/ their pregnancies. I am at the point now where I am rapidly gaining weight (1-1 1/2 lbs a week) and it is taking a toll. I am only 5'2'', normally 115 lbs. (at most) and all the weight gain is killing my back and hurting my knees(worse than my first). I am 32 1/2 weeks and have already gained over 20 lbs., and will probably hit 30 lbs. by the end (gained 28 lbs. with Maddy)..
Avatar n tn Diet chart is the way to go, what is low carb for you may not be proper for your body to lose weight. Go to a dietician and plan a neat diet chart of 500 cals less than the recommended calories of your age and height, take proteins, minerals, vitamins, high fibre carbohydrate, some fat without cholesterol. + dance which is intense so that you lose atleast 500 cals in 1 to 11/2 hrs. Take care, as with this you will lose weight!
Avatar n tn I went today for my first week weight check and my second shot.....my weight loss for my first week is 9.5 pounds!!!! Anyone else using Phentermine and B12? I would love to hear how other people have done on these meds. Good Luck to everyone trying...I want to hear your story!
Avatar n tn Hey ya'll... Just wanted to ask a quick question...I am baffled and confused by what a "typical" weight gain should be for a pregnant woman...Some say 15lbs..tops...others say 25 tops...The reason being is I was so sick in my 1st tri (and basically put anything that I felt I could..usually not the healthiest stuff it seemed that I could eat) and now am going into my 13th wk that when I went for my weigh in at my 4 wk check up...I had noticed i had put on a few to say...

What should I do to controll this as her diet is very bad and she has something every day after school and on Staurday and sundaysgoes out with friends how can I help my child be healthy, lose weight,be fit and reduce blood pressure levels??????? Avatar f tn Last night, halfway through a hair trim in my kitchen with my girls, I dropped. And for the first time I know I scared the kids. We were literally halfway through a trim and a conversation and I just stopped talking and started breathing really oddly. The kids were great, my 12 yo said 'you ve just started sweating really bad, can I get you a wet towel' (and she did) the big girls (16 and 19) hit me with a barrage of genuinely caring questions..
Avatar n tn I wanted to post , but I was delaying looking up the conversion chart- so thanks girls! Everyone gains weight totally different with each pregnancy. And I've noticed in different spots, too. The day of delivery though you have an instant 20# weight loss though and it'll fall off as your blood levels go down, swelling, water weight, etc. No worries ;) lots of girls with very healthy pregnancies gain 50+.
Avatar f tn I'm guessing they were premature in which case it isn't unusual for them to lag behind on the developmental chart. If they are losing weight, I'd have them seen by the family doctor or pediatrician. But motivation isn't a word used often in toddlers. They might be doing the best they can. They also like to feel a little in charge so maybe don't push or pressure too much. If there are developmental issues, they should see a specialist for evaluation.
676912 tn?1332816151 Elijah's always been a monster, he was never below 90% for height and always above 50% for weight, mostly above 95% and 75% for height/weight. Aubryana is right now the same size Elijah was at 4 months and she's almost 9 months. Do I just have a little baby girl, or is she gonna start growing more as she gets older? I'm so used to Mr Giant.
