weight

Avatar f tn BMI is a useful way to determine a healthy weight. You can find a BMI calculator and other tools for determining a healthy weight on the CDC or NIH web sits. But healthy weight is only part of recovery, as I'm sure you know. I hope you're working on the other aspects, from good nutrition to the mental side of EDs and monitoring for anorexia sequalae.
4544384 tn?1356332467 For those of you who don't understand punnet squares, and don't understand how to factor in the dominant, recessive, brown, green, blue- I have your answer! Obviously not 100% accurate but it's cool to check out anyway :) http://genetics.thetech.
1938479 tn?1325705620 If Arnold Schwarzenegger was to use a BMI (weight vs height) chart while bodybuilding, it would have classified him as obese. Another way to look at fat versus muscles is that a cubic inch of muscle will weigh more than a cubic inch of fat. Muscle is about 18 percent more dense than fat. So a better question is am I in shape or do i need to convert more areas of fat to muscle? With that said, here is a weight chart that should only be used to give you an idea, so don't take it as gospel.

10947 tn?1281404252 I think the BMI calculator is great and will really be helpful for everyone, but particularly for "newbies" that are trying to get started. Is there any way you can add how many calories/day I would need to maintain my current weight/BMI; then, knowing that I would have to create a calorie deficit in order to lose weight, I would have a good starting point?
Avatar f tn I have been stuck in a plateau for more than 6 months now ! I have tried everything: increasing exercise, lowering calories, changing the types of food I eat.... What can I do to break through this plateau? I am a female and my body fat is about 6.14% ( or so they say) maybe a little more, would this be preventing weight loss?
1380252 tn?1279892799 How can the Ovulation Calculator be improved to help those of us with irregular periods with a cycle of more than 60 days? Can we still use the Calculator?
Avatar n tn Calories are not the major factor in weight gain or loss. Some high calorie foods are great for weight, such as fatty fish. The biggest factor is how you metabolize what you eat into sugar and how well you digest what you eat. I don't think any calorie calculator will help you lose weight, but basically, if you increase the output of energy you will probably lose weight. If you cut down on the amount you eat without eliminating the healthy foods you will probably lose weight. Slowly.

10389360 tn?1410823968 That's for ideal doctor weight, seriously I weight 170 and now I'm sure over 175 cause I haven't been back to Dr but that was my weight last appt. When I wasnt pregnant I was 163 and my bmi was considered overweight. According to bmi and weight I should be 140 pounds. I'm sorry but if I was 140 pounds I would look way to skinny and boney. Even the Dr told me that!! So don't go by that.
Avatar m tn I would suggest you to work a diet chart with the help of a dietician and squeeze all the extra calories and do cardio for 30-45 minutes regularly to decrease your weight proportionally. Continue doing other forms for limited time along with cardio. Take care!
1810212 tn?1316457901 You have to chart for a couple cycles to see what your average base temp is and when you have a spike of at least .4 degrees you ovulated the DAY BEFORE. If you're unsure or have irregular cycles just have sex every other day from 18 days before your period start to about 10 days before...that's what I did and I just stopped worrying about everything else and got pregnant soon after.
1676558 tn?1305460105 BMI calculator says I should loose more weight than I planned. I'm 5'9, 198 lbs and I want to get to 170. At 170 the online BMI calculator says I will still beconsidered overweight. Not sure I want to loose that much weight. any advice?
Avatar n tn Calculate your BMR from any calculator on the net and plan out a diet chart based on the required calorie count. You can choose your own options from various free calorie counters. MedHelp too has these calorie counters. You can track your weight on MedHelp too. Other than this diabetes, hyperthyroidism, gut problems causing poor absorption and worms in stool all cause weight loss or could be responsible for your inability to gain weight.
Avatar f tn however, her height is below the 3rd percentile for her age. She has a very small stature so in turn her weight appears very high. Her needs increase as she grows and then levels off after she stops growing (after 18 years old). For a 4-6 year old they need approximately 1700-1800 calories a day. If you are concerned about her weight then it is recommended to increase children's physical activities. Have your child go do running, walking, sports, and etc.
Avatar f tn Im 18 weeks and have gained 11 pounds so far im a little over weight for my height of 5 ft but my dr hasnt said anything but yea app says excessive idk
Avatar f tn It bothered me so much I asked my doctor about it and she said that according to my chart I have been good at maintaining my weight and not too worry about it. I've gained 17lbs and I'm 21w5d.
1227139 tn?1462334630 Are you referring to the Ovulation Calculator or the Ovulation Tracker? There isn't a way to put the Ovulation Calculator on your home page. It's located in the Pregnancy Community, so if you join the community, it'll show up in your Shortcuts. Then you'll be able to quickly go to the community and click Trackers & Calculators to access the calculator. If you're referring to the Ovulation Tracker, the tracker should already be on your home page.
Avatar f tn I am 23 weeks now and am at 172. The calculator stated I was over weight to begin with. Is the Calculator right? What is normal?
567793 tn?1219048662 A particularly useful body mass index calculator is halfway down the page here: http://kidshealth.org/teen/food_fitness/dieting/weight_height.html Ignore the "kids" word on the site -- their calculator halfway down the page is set for people 20 and under. Most of the calculators online assume you're over 20. I agree totally with Red -- weight alone doesn't say much about health or fitness.
1528695 tn?1360582320 here is a link for normal growth chart for breastfed babies. This website below is also a great resource for anything breastfeeding related. If this doesn't allow me to post the like I will send you a private message. http://************/babyconcerns/growth/weight-gain.
Avatar f tn Excercise at least 30 minutes a day and get your heart rate into the fat burning zone based on your age. For me, my weight range is 135-165. My body is naturally stabilizing at 155. But I do cardio and weight train everyday. The weight training is very important as it builds lean body mass and that is what makes you look good. Not your overall weight. If you just lost a lot of weight like me, you may have excess skin and that can only be corrected by surgery.
Avatar f tn The key is percentage of body fat, not weight, as muscle is heavier than fat.
Avatar f tn t drive so I walk everywhere with my two small children. I guess this app is just going by guidelines. I put it into the baby centre weight calculator and its said I was 1lb over what I should be. I think I can live with that.
Avatar f tn If you weigh less now, than you did when you started, the amount of weight loss is the difference between what your weight was and what it is now. You have to subtract.
1468158 tn?1363026295 Thanks guys I've also started a food log. So I know what she's ate. Her uncle is like that eats and eats an it seems hard for him to gain weight. I don't like that she's so small but I feel better writing down what shes eating. They both have a healthy child check up next month Im gonna definitely ask the dr. then and weigh them both again. Hopefully she'll gain something! A friend said pediasure could help her gain weight. ? Would it be ok to feed her that?
