Avatar f tn U/s in the 1st trimester are most accurate..any done, after that they are not b/c babies grow different..
Avatar f tn Try to hang in there hun, I know this waiting is SO hard! I also had an u/s at 6 weeks where all they saw was a gestational sac (no yolk sac or fetal pole) by around 7 weeks there was a yolk sac, fetal pole and heart beat!! I think there are even women on here that have had to wait till closer to 8 weeks to see anything. My Dr. was also on the negative side, I think they feel the need to prepare you for the worst. (((HUGS))) The fact that your levels almost tripled is great!
152590 tn?1208149744 Hi everyone, I had my 36 week ultrasound today to see how big the baby was since I have GD. She is measuring right on schedule at somewhere around 6lbs 9 oz (which can go a pound either way). Anyways I posted two 3/4D pic on my myspace page here is the url. Everything looks good, so no complications (EDD 4-18-07) by the way this is our first baby, third pregnancy (both previous mc were at 6 weeks). Hope everyone has a good weekend. http://www.myspace.
Avatar f tn I just had my 20 week ultrasound and the doc said everything looked great. He indicated he was a little concerned about an indentation in baby's spine, which he said could be artifact from the ultrasound, the baby's position or indeed an indentation in the vertebrae of my baby. He did say that it was not spina befida, but I am a nervous wreck. He wants to have another ultrasound next month to look at it again. Anyone ever have this happen? I am freaking out.
Avatar f tn I was so scared they that they would of had mad news because my last pregnancy every ultrasound was just more bad news but thank god I have a little princess she stayed strong threw all of it .
Avatar f tn / we planned the first pregnancy and while I was pg he didn't want it and put me through hell. Now he's doing it again.
1846492 tn?1321388076 Which she said was some what high which brought me to my ultrasound appointment. I'm 25 have a 4 year old soon and had a chemical pregnancy a few months ago. It's crazy how thinking you're pregnant for a couple days can make you so sad when it ends. Especially after trying for close to a year. Soooooo, anyway! Just going for the best..
327668 tn?1224795950 They gave me a 1 in 7000 by the looks of things (measurement) and when I told them about my one pregnancy that had down syndrome they gave me a 1 in 100. Here are some pictures. Tell me what you think!? http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg250/serena_65/baby1.jpg http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg250/serena_65/baby2.jpg http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg250/serena_65/baby3.jpg http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg250/serena_65/baby4.jpg http://i250.photobucket.
Avatar f tn This is not a question but I just had my 32 week ultrasound anf everything is perfect. My little princess is perfect size, she weighs 1.9kg and her heart beat was great at 154bpm. It has just sunk in that in 8 weeks my little girl is going to be in my arms and I cant wait. Congratulations to all mums to be and new mums I hope everything goes well for all of u.
Avatar f tn Im excited. Im hoping my baby cooperates this time so we can know the sex. We've tried twice so far. First time the legs were crossed then the second time baby wouldn't move the way we needed lol. Thanks ladies!!
Avatar n tn How accurate are ultrasounds at gauging the age of the baby? At my 20 week ultrasound, my baby was estimated to be a couple days younger than previously calculated in a different ultrasound. Just curious how normal this is and want to know about others experiences.
1790045 tn?1317188084 I go in for my 12 week ultrasound next week and we are wanting to find out as soon as possible. I've heard some doctors will tell you if the baby is turned the right way and some won't and you have to wait til your 20 weeks appointment.
Avatar n tn Is there still a chance I may be having a successfull pregnancy realalistically? I have another ultrasound scheduled in a wk, & the dr said if they can't see a baby by then they know I have lost him for sure. I can't help but be negative because I had a positive home prenancy test 1 day before my missed period. If I was really over a wk less pregnant than I thought, I doubt the test could have come back positive? Any information/advice would be hugely appriciated! Thanks!!
Avatar f tn I have had several miscarriages so have just been taking this week by week hoping and praying. But to see my baby moving was...I can't even describe it. Now I feel lke this is really going to happen. I didn't realize that the little peanuts were so active at this time. I am so happy I can't even describe it.
Avatar f tn I'm pregnant w/ #2 & approaching the 20 wk. ultrasound. For #2, I switched to an OB w/in the same practice that delivered my 1st. I felt the experience of the appts w/ a new OB would be a complimentary education & I'd be content w/ either OB during the delivery. At my 1st appt, I was told about JuicePlus+. The OB is a salesperson for the supplement on the side. On my 2nd appt, I was asked/told about JP+ again.
Avatar f tn Hello, 2 questions, did your own Dr perform the ultrasound and was it pelvic ultrasound or vaginal ultrasound?. How and who performs the u/s can matter very much at your early date. Please try not to worry, early pregnancy is a wait and see game for everyone. One week they do not see anything and the next week there can be a fetus with a strong heartbeat! I wish you good luck on your next u/s!
667409 tn?1309155783 Just an update! Had my 24-week ultrasound today, and everything looks perfect! I was concerned about how big he might be getting due to the GD, but his weight is right on track. They said he's 1 pound 12 oz right now. His length was long...measuring at 26 weeks, rather than 24. But, that's okay, as long as he's not fat, too! LOL. Brain and heart and spine are perfect. And...I weigh one pound less than when I got pregnant! :-) So...happy day for me! Can't wait until the little monkey gets here!
Avatar f tn They can check the baby's position without an ultrasound, and weight estimates via ultrasound are notoriously inaccurate.
Avatar f tn Ultrasounds magnify things a bit, but they don't see at a cellular level. The fifth week is always an iffy and unnecessarily alarming time to have an ultrasound. (Especially this is true since the embryo could have implanted a couple of days later than normal and you would really be still in your 4th week, when nothing is visible on ultrasounds on any pregnancy). You're probably just too early for an ultrasound to see the tiny embryo forming.
784127 tn?1261408176 I am in the 20th week now, and have an appt next week. My last ultrasound was when I was in the 17th week.... and in that one both were head down. I had an appt with the midwife a week ago and one was head down and the other she couldnt tell. They can move around a lot still at 20 weeks and still have a lot of room... I dont sweat it when they tell me I fall into small percentages anymore.
Avatar n tn If the level was rising appropriately ( we expect a 60-100% rise) I would repeat the ultrasound in one week. I don't see any reason why your wife's doctor would be reluctant to do any of this if you and your wife ask. But you are going to have to convince her to call for the information as they most likely won't give it to you! I hope everything is OK--if so, this won't be your last nerve-wracking moment! Good luck!
Avatar f tn GREAT!! According to the ultrasound the baby measured 6W 1D (this was on saturday) but by my LMP I was 6W 4D. So she said 3 days isnt bad at all. We got to see and hear the little heartbeat...it was 121bpm!! She said that was great! The baby is only 5mm long. So very very tiny. I am hoping this means the m/c rate has dropped some?!?! Does anyone know?? Anyway just wanted to let everyone know how things went. BABY DUST TO ALL!!!
Avatar f tn I'm 36 weeks .. Ahhhhh not long left now .. Any one one the 36th week ..
Avatar n tn Hi I sadly miscarried on Tuesday/Wednesday. It has been an emotional week. I passed a large clot on Wednesday and it was brought to the lab for testing but I'm sure that was the placenta/embryo. I then was scheduled for an ultrasound Wednesday afternoon which was the most emotional/gut wretching experience ever. The songographer had no idea what she was doing or even looking for.She had to finally do an transvaginal ultrasound which was horrible since I was still bleeding.
