Avatar f tn Adderall 10 mg = Vyvanse 30 mg, Adderall 20 mg = Vyvanse 50 mg, Adderall 30 mg = Vyvanse 70 mg. I always start lower than expected with a change to Vyvanse, as for about 10-15% that anticipated dose of Vyvanse proves too much. I don’t want folks on my watch to experience 10% problems." I would also check the comments in the above link and some of them might apply to you. the link is - http://www.corepsych.
12880268 tn?1427636775 A couple months ago, I was prescribed Vyvanse for ADHD/Low motivational drive & concentration issues. My doctor started me on 30mg of Vyvanse to be taken once in the morning. The first day I took it my energy and focus level shot up to what must be considered "normal" because I could actually get out of bed and focus in my classes! It was amazing. But, after that first day, nothing. After about 2 weeks of trying it out, it almost felt like I was taking a sugar pill.
Avatar f tn Popping in a few grapefruit after 6-7 hours of medication will not cause much harm. However, do not go overboard! Grapefruit can hydrolyse lisdexamfetamine in Vyvanse making more of it available. This may result in more harm than good. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!
11323603 tn?1417233792 Hi! My question is a bit ironic. I take medications because I have a very bad problem of focussing and stuff. But sometimes, I am so unfocus when I get up in the morning, that I can't tell if I have taken or not my vyvanse... I do use that little week-by-week bokes thing, but sometimes I'm too busy to think about filling it for a week. So I don't want solutions to avoid it happening again, I'll do my best so it does not happen again with those little pill boxes.
Avatar f tn So I went and visited a general practitioner that specializes in weight loss. He prescribed Vyvanse to take in the morning then before bed I am supposed to take Topamax (migraine medicine) and Trintellix (an antidepressant) as well as a diet. I started on the Vyvanse mostly b/c I also suffer from ADHD and it is really great so far for my attention at work.
Avatar f tn I am guessing that you see two different doctors. One for weight loss and one for your ADHD/anxiety. I say this because Basically phentermine is a stimulant (works like adderall), but works differently then adderall. I am not sure you should be taking it with adderall. "Phentermine use is containdicated in those who are: Taking amphetamine (i.e. Adderall, Dexedrine, Vyvanse), in the last 14 days" This quote is from - http://en.wikipedia.
Avatar m tn I am taking Vyvanse and Prozac, and I'm having trouble getting myself to eat. I am still in a healthy weight range, so I'm not worried about that. But I've been weak, fatigued, and dizzy at times because I'm not eating enough. Are there any protein shakes I should try, or something like that, so I can be getting the nutrients I need? I hate most protein shakes because I can't stand the texture, and they're usually gross. But I have to do something.

Avatar f tn No dose seemed to fit for me. But, I lost the weight I was needing to lose (20 lbs) and if I go off Vyvanse, will it come back on with a vengance? I have heard hunger just is out of control when stopping this drug. So I am afraid to stay on it and I am afraid to go off it.
1165577 tn?1263001618 Would switching from Adderal 30 mg to Vyvanse 20 mg cause me to gain weight? (or any other negative side effect?
Avatar f tn vyvanse my children don't really want to eat and when it wears off they act like do get any food why?
Avatar m tn s Thyroiditis, which is an autoimmune disease that attacks the thyroid. If you have symptoms of hyperthyroidism, such as weight loss, rapid heart rate, palpitations, etc you should also get Thyroid Stimulating Immunoglobulins (TSI) to confirm/rule out Graves Disease, which is another autoimmune disease that attacks the thyroid. You should also get vitamin B12 tested, as B12 deficiency can cause horrendous fatigue, as well as tingling/numbness in the hands/feet, easy bruising, etc.
Avatar m tn I am really sensitive to medications. Adderall was like what I imagine taking crystal methamphetamine feels like. At least I felt like how those people looked. I have been on Vyvanse for a while now. And was worried when they doctor said it was very similar to Adderall XR. But he promised me that the issues I was having with feeling ill, insomnia, and no appitite would lessen on Vyvanse. And that the nasty, gross stimulant feeling I got from Adderall would go away.
1218509 tn?1267490923 I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was 9 years old. Currently I am on Adderall, because Vyvanse was too expensive when I didn't have insurance. I took 60 mg of Vyvanse for three to four months, back in mid-2009; it was absolutely amazing. It was very smooth, it lasted around the 12-14 hours my Psychiatrist said it would, and I did not give me any side effects. I would highly recommend Vyvanse to anyone who needs a ADHD/ADD medication.
Avatar f tn Others abuse stimulant meds for their weight-loss properties. If your child is taking stimulants, make sure he or she isn’t sharing the pills or selling them. 1. Adderall 2. Concerta 3. Ritalin 4. Vyvanse 5. Strattera (do not use this, there is a warning on the label for suicidal thoughts) 6. focalin 7. Dexedrine Their may be other but these are the most popular ones used. Please read and research everything about this before doing anything.
Avatar m tn I started Vyvanse back in August 2010, and it was the miracle that I've been searching for. Over a span of 4 years, I've taken stimulants including: Concerta, 30mg Adderall IR, and 30mg Adderall XR. Concerta gave me migraines. Adderall XR completely sucked. Adderall IR was the best medication that I found until Vyvanse. Now I think Adderall is horrible in comparison. I've been taking 30mg of Vyvanse for a few months now.
Avatar f tn Now that I have stopped taking Geodon, I would like to know if anyone out there has been through the same experience with weight gain AND if weight loss is a side effect of coming off of Geodon? If not, is it easier to lose weight once you are off of the medication? I have my mind back and now I want my body back! Hope to hear some good news!
