I am guessing that you see two different doctors. One for weight loss and one for your ADHD/anxiety. I say this because Basically phentermine is a stimulant (works like adderall), but works differently then adderall. I am not sure you should be taking it with adderall. My doctor also prescribed Phenteramine 37.5 mg for weight loss. I take both together in the morning. I do go to him every month and have a check up so he can check my blood pressure...it is always low anyways. But he does keep a close eye on me. Also, if I have something stressfull happen in my life, I drop the phenterimine for a couple of days to prevent an anxidy attack. Phenteramine does make you anxious,,, more so than the adderall or Concerta.

But I've been weak, fatigued, and dizzy at times because I'm not eating enough. Are there any protein shakes I should try, or something like that, so I can be getting the nutrients I need? I hate most protein shakes because I can't stand the texture, and they're usually gross. But I have to do something.

This seems to occur more often in adults with heart problems. If a person has been taking Vyvanse evidence of this drug can be detectable in the urine from 1 to 3 days and even 5 days .It is best to see a doctor if the symptoms are severe. I sincerely hope it helps. Best wishes and regards!

If you are having anxiety, it's typically when the stimulant is LEAVING your system when you're ADHD. The key to treatment with stimulants is to have something to help you come down after getting a good 12-16 hours of coverage. Many times with stimulants, Tenex or Clonidine are added to help the come down and help with side effects.

I'm 16 years old, male, 6'3", 185 lbs. I have been prescribed Vyvanse to treat my ADD symptoms for about two years (currently at 70mg), and the results have been amazing. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA or higher in every grading period so far in my highschool career. But, I have recently noticed that I often get dizzy while doing cardio workouts, and a dangerously high heart rate. However, I'm in no means out of shape, and am extremely ripped.

s Thyroiditis, which is an autoimmune disease that attacks the thyroid. If you have symptoms of hyperthyroidism, such as weight loss, rapid heart rate, palpitations, etc you should also get Thyroid Stimulating Immunoglobulins (TSI) to confirm/rule out Graves Disease, which is another autoimmune disease that attacks the thyroid. You should also get vitamin B12 tested, as B12 deficiency can cause horrendous fatigue, as well as tingling/numbness in the hands/feet, easy bruising, etc.

Katie928, I can relate. But you may want to go back in and consult your psychiatrist. The reason I say this is b/c I too have ADHD but I also have Bipolar Disorder. I was first diagnosed w/BPD in 2006, a yr later my mind kept racing and I knew something wasn't right. Went back in to my doc. What often happens, and this is proven thru research, is that someone w/a chemical inbalance disorder has a 60% higher chance at having another disorder.

vyvanse my children don't really want to eat and when it wears off they act like do get any food why?

t have insurance. I took 60 mg of Vyvanse for three to four months, back in mid-2009; it was absolutely amazing. It was very smooth, it lasted around the 12-14 hours my Psychiatrist said it would, and I did not give me any side effects. I would highly recommend Vyvanse to anyone who needs a ADHD/ADD medication. I can only wish you the best experience with this medication once it is available by you.

we have tried several meds. currently he is on 50 mg of vyvanse, 40 mg of citalopram and 2mg of abilify a day. his behavior is beyond horrible. should i just take him off meds?
