my step son is supposed to take vyvanse and clonidine, but he has been out of vyvance for 3weeks now and seems fine taking only clonidine.
He prescribed Vyvanse to take in the morning then before bed I am supposed to take Topamax (migraine medicine) and Trintellix (an antidepressant) as well as a diet.
I started on the Vyvanse mostly b/c I also suffer from ADHD and it is really great so far for my attention at work. However I am really leery of taking new meds especially if I do not need them and even so I would like to see how I react to one before taking others on top of it.
Adderall 10 mg = Vyvanse 30 mg, Adderall 20 mg = Vyvanse 50 mg, Adderall 30 mg = Vyvanse 70 mg. I always start lower than expected with a change to Vyvanse, as for about 10-15% that anticipated dose of Vyvanse proves too much. I don’t want folks on my watch to experience 10% problems."

My daughter taking vyvanse several months ago. I believe she is abusing the drug. How would she even do that? The pill is a 50mg capsule, now yes it can be opened and it does contain powder inside. But can you really abuse this medication and please explain to me how you would even abuse this medication?
My son who is 9 yrs old has started Vyvanse since January of this year. He is currently on about 25 mg of Vyvanse. The only thing that I don't like about it is that it takes a long time to kick in, like about 2.5 hours for my son. So often in the morning he will seem unfocused so will not do well during early 8am test. His doctor and I discussed trying Ritalin first in the morning and then adding Vyvanse, which is the reverse of what many people do.
I also share that I take Vyvanse prescribed by my family dr. Well, the cardiologist actually exhibited anger towards me. My pb spikes in a doctor's office. He angrily snapped at me and said will check with my family dr about the Vyvanse - insinuating it was prescribed maybe? He had known all along and in my chart that I take Vyvanse. I just feel like this doctor was mad at me and angry - instead of helping me.
I am really sensitive to medications. Adderall was like what I imagine taking crystal methamphetamine feels like. At least I felt like how those people looked.
I have been on Vyvanse for a while now. And was worried when they doctor said it was very similar to Adderall XR. But he promised me that the issues I was having with feeling ill, insomnia, and no appitite would lessen on Vyvanse. And that the nasty, gross stimulant feeling I got from Adderall would go away.

Hi! So I just had to come to google to see why my Vyvanse wasn't working for me anymore, and I saw your comment.. I have been on Vyvanse for maybe a year now and have found that my 70 mg dosage just isn't kicking in or working as well as it used to for me anymore?? So is this happening with you as well? Like it's still really hard for me to focus, and I really don't feel the effect of the medicine at all anymore. I wonder whats happening?
Hello , I'm 21 and have taken ADHD med (adderall and now vyvanse ) my whole life (since I was 6) it helped me amazingly all in elementary-10th I quit taking it everyonce in a while for a few months because I hate it I hate taking pills but this past year I have started collage back and I need my medicine for school!!
In the process of evaluating my children, he confirmed my ADD-always a high achiever by employing creative study tricks-taping classes, memorizing outlines, using noise canceling headphones and listening to music while I work. But once I started Vyvanse, I could actually start working/billing as soon as I started working. 6 years later, still works great but I make sure I NEVER run out.

My question: Every time I sleep, day (as in nap, occasionally) or night, I have strange dreams I can't put a finger on. I'm often very sad anxious and in some type of bad situation. THEN the real problem. I awake in absolute terror. I am pretty much completely dysfunctional for at least half an hour to two hours. The Vyvanse generally relieves it when it kicks in. It's as if my mind falls apart when off it. I never wake up happy to face the day, excited, etc.
Hi, this is my first post and I appreciate you taking the time to read it. I'm glad I came across this forum. I will keep my question as short as possible. I need some advice on what you would do. I'm 29 and I've had anxiety since at least the age of 11. I did not seek help until I was 20 and this was from my primary care physician. He did as much as he could for me, but since this was not his specialty, he advised me to find a physiatrist.
my 27 yr old son suddenly started having dystonia "storms". He was sick over a weekend, felt bad, tired. Went to dr. next am coughing up blood. While in drs office started leaning to right, hands started clenching, arm drawn to body, speech impaired and aware the whole time. Went to ER, given atavan, and got better. The next day he had one so bad he stopped breathing and was put on a ventilator. He's been in the hospital 3 times during the past month and on ventilator 3 times.
My doc prescribed me 70mg Vyvanse, to compare with my Adderall dose previously prescribed. When feeling the effects of Vyvanse it is truly a saving grace and I really feel "limitless". I think clear, I don't feel over stimulated or the out of body experience like other ADHD drugs. I'm in an industry that I must utilize critical problem solving skills, think extremely creative and relay high end technical knowledge to CIO's and executives on a daily basis.
I have a question about Vyvanse. Currently, I am on 70mg. The problem is it wears off after 4-5 hours and I experience the worst crash and depression! I have experimented and taken 2 Vyvanse 70mg in one day.. one at 7am & the other at 1pm. That dosage lasted me until 9pm that night. I have read tons of articles about this wearing off on ADHD websites & forums.I also read where doctors are prescribing up to 210mg of Vyvanse. The most common high dose is 140mg.
i have a long day and take vyvanse very early it is suposed to last 12 hrs but i think more like 7 i read that people take boosters with it i still have ritalin cause i just switched 2 weeks ago to 70 mg vyvanse and it doesnt do anything anymore did the vyvanse make it so it no longer works what is the best way to go about this aftr work i take care of my kids all night and have been lacking energy and very short with them which isnt fair cause it is not their fault id ask my dr but he would jus
