This happened to my daughter, all her tests came back ok but then we discovered a year later that her thyroid was borderline for being overactive and she was left for a year, in the meantime all her symptoms which match yours got steadily worse, she lost weight and was admitted in with a fast heartrate and there it was discovered she had and overactive thyroid which cos was left untreated had turned to hyper, she has had treatment and is on the mend.

I also have a hyper thyroid and it took me and my husband about two years to conceive! This is baby #2 now . I hope this pregnancy goes good for you & I'll keep you in my prayers. Set up an apt asap & let them know about your thyroid . I didn't get treated any different just got watched & I was very fatigue and tired.
In the space of about 1 month I lost half a stone for no apparent reason, so I turned to the internet to look for reasons why this might be. Overactive thyroid is one of the things I came across so I looked into it more and some of the symptoms ring a bell; Mood swings, Sweating, Tiredness, weight loss regardless of increased appetite, sleeping poorly, shaky hands (sometimes) and that my heart occasionally feels like it skips a beat.
i was just diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and the dr.s told me that that was my magor reason why i coudnt get pregnant,now they just gave propanolol 20mg i want to know if this medication helps my thyroid hormones in its level it sopost to be and if it can help me get pregnant?
For your own health, as well as for the baby you hope to carry, your thyroid gland status should be sorted out first. An overactive thyroid is treatable, and pretty common.

For about 6 years Now I have been experience symptoms on and off of an overactive thyroid and each time I go to the GP i get told oh it could be an overactive thyroid but the test results come back as normal the previous TSH Level (the only result i have) was 2.5 however I recently got private test results done with the following results.
I feel anxious and unwell, not sure which comes first if I have an overactive thyroid, is it causing AF or could the AF and amiodrone have caused the thyroid? I have another appointment with the GP but feel confused. Any feedback appreciated.
Hi, I am new to this site and was diagnosed with an overactive thyroid a few days ago. Other than a racing heart I have been very lucky and haven’t actually felt too bad (TSH 0.02 and T4 46.3) my doctor has started me on 10mg carbimazole daily and I am really anxious about the weight gain since I haven’t actually lost weight even with the overactive thyroid. Has anyone got any advice? I am just being paranoid? Thank you in advance!
m a 14 year olds and i have this thyroid problem for about 10/11 months and recently found my thyroid is still overactive and im really worried what will happen. ive taken my medications properly and i don't know why its still overactive is there a way to fix this, i was told i might do the RAI and i've read some forums on it but i'm still confused on what it does.. if i do a surgery while my thyroid is over active could i die ? is there any way i could be cure ? thank you ..
and thyroid came back with off levels... further testing showed TSH 82 and T4 and T3 were low. More tests showed FSH 14.0 LH 12.4 and testosterone 336.. Also TPOAb was 50. His PCP suggested he see an endocrinologist... with overactive pituitary...
Went to endo and more tests... Testosterone dropped to 175, Free Testosterone 3.9
TSH went up further to 108.3 ACTH and vitamin D normal... TBG and GH normal...
creatinine high 1.
So, here is the deal. I just got a call from my regular doctor this morning saying that my blood test work which got done last week showed an overactive thyroid. Again. This was just a routine check up so I'm seeing my endo doc on Thursday.
Last time I got my tests done were in April when they showed an slight overactive thyroid. I was prescribed beta blockers. Before that, almost a year ago, I went through a phase of an overactive thyroid that lasted about a 3 months.
So I have seen Endo 3 times and bloods done everytime and this is where I am at - so there have been 4 Doctors looking at me, one thought levels were grand and wondered was it thyroid and 3 all agreed my levels were high - and that it is my thyroid and I wonder why I have ANXIETY!! between them all you would be anxious. I have now got xanax 0.
On my paternal mothers side, my aunts thyroid taken out....or something of that sort. Im a 23 yr old female and not healthy I must say. I'm overweight (5'3 or 5'4 & now 253 lbs, was 275- 3 months ago)but lately I seem to be losing more weight than I should & now I can tell because my skin is starting to droop a bit .
3) - then T4 is often used. But sometimes with high antibodies, the thyroid can be borderline overactive (ie lowish TSH) and adding T4 may be inappropriate.
