My 10 year old son, who is ADHD, was taking 30 mg of Vyvanse and it worked fine for like a month and half. The doctor increased his dosage to 40 mg and it was working great, but again the effects seemed to have diminished in two months. The doctor recommended to keep him in the 40 mg of Vyvanse, which he takes in the morning, and in the evening give him 1 mg of Intuniv. Do you know if that will help with his concentration at school?
I feel groggy today but I thinks it due to sleeping in on the weekend and not getting up at my usual 6am wake up time. Got %100 on my test today based on the information studied yesterday so that definitely reiterated the importance of sleepping for memory function. Appreciate insight. I'm taking Vyvanse and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't work at all. Sometimes I just want to sleep all day and never feel the effects of increased focus, motivation, interest, and energy. I'm on a low dose of 30 mg, but because I do feel the effects sometimes I'm wondering if it's a problem with my digestion at times and some inability to metabolize the vyvanse for it to work properly.
Well, it was not the Lithium that caused the twitching, as I had a Lithium level drawn after stopping it and the Vyvanse, and my level was a little bit low, indicating that it had probably been at normal levels just a day or two before. Now I have a script for Concerta to replace the Vyvanse, I am just waiting on insurance's prior authorization. I am still on the Prozac and am back on Abilify. The twitching slowly subsided, as did the eye pain, nausea, and dizziness.

I would imagine that these annoying side effects will eventually subside with continued therapy w/Vyvanse.

and again as soon as I hit the floor I regained consciousness and went to my bed following bad cold sweats and not right. After this one I did call my pcp and got in a week and a half later. She didn't know what could be causing it but since I had chest pain and couldn't breath she ordered me to use a holter heart monitor for 1 week.
During that week no episodes happened it was acyally one of the weeks I slept good. Results came back as ventricular trigeminy and Bigeminy.
Also, yesturday I went to see my rhemutologist once agian due to shortness of breath and horrible sleep problems. The week before he prescribed lyrica and sonayta, which is for back pain and sleeping problems. The first day I took it i noticed that it made my sleeping problem worse and my backproblem worse as well. I didnt get anysleep for 41 hours straight. He told me that It might be because of my medication (vyvanse) that I'm getting out of breath and everything.
Recently my fiancee, 33 year old male, was diagnosed with ADD. I suspected for a few years that he had ADD, but knew that he needed to realize it as well so that he would seek treatment on his own.
My 11 yr old son has been taking 6 mg of Intuniv and 60 mg of Vyvanse daily for about 4 years. This combo has successfully managed his ADHD. He is on the smaller side height wise and we asked our Dr. about taking a med break this summer. He agreed and said to discontinue the Vyvanse but continue the Intuniv which we did on Friday. Since then my son has been constantly tired and ravenously hungry.
m in recovery for alcohol and cocaine abuse. Been sober now for 10 months, and yes it has been difficult not to abuse vyvanse. Addicts think different than most people. We find something we like and all we can think is more more more. What I do is get a friend to hold my vyvanse and give it me as needed. I don't recommend holding on to them yourself!!! Bad idea!!
My 17 year old takes Vyvanse for ADHD and help with anger , he takes that in the morning then at night Clonidine. At night I accidentally gave him Vyvanse and his clonidine because I thought I didn’t give him his meds ( clonidine) but later I checked the morning meds and there was one missing which means I gave him both! Me n him were confused and didn’t realize until the end.
Will this hurt him ? Should I be concerned.
Ive also been on spring break for the past week, so i did not take the drug(i feel like it worked waay better before).. Ive now been on vyvanse for about 4 weeks maybe? and i feel like its not working as well. its weird because its been working but idk what happened. Now its like i only get the bad side affects, rather than helping me focus. honestly im not sure if its making me worse, or not doing anything anymore..I find that im always cranky aswell, like its hard to stay in a good mood.

I have been prescribed Adderall ir for Adult ADD and treatment resistant depression for about 3 years now. In the beginning, we started with just 5mg - and it did wonders for me! It was like a switch had been turned on, and I could see clearly again.

There are two antidepressants that Vyvanse should not be taken with, those are Prozac and Paxil. They slow down the excretion of Vyvanse considerably and you are left with an undesired and non-therapeutic build up of Vyvanse. The symptoms you are having correlate with this. It may not be found in the literature but if you look up Dr. Charles Parker on YouTube, he explains this in detail in one of his 37 videos. He works closely with Dr.
i'm not an MD. But I recall pulse tests made at Westpoint and varied bewteen 40 and 110. All in healthy cadets.

I have been on Vyvanse 70mg for years and I just noticed this morning after taking my medication it did not help me at all. So I decide to check my medication and sure enough it was half full, so I took another one and it worked fine. 13 out of 30 were less than half full, so what am I suppose to do the rest of the month.

I was put thru hell for 3 yrs. not knowing about the vyvanse. He is a cocaine abuser which was hidden from me. and substituted the cocaine addiction for Vyvanse addiction.
Shame on these so called professionals for giving this **** to a 47 yr old man with no history of ADHD but knows they have a history of cocaine abuse!
