The morning of my exam on Friday I took another 50 mg before I left. Over a 20 hour period, I took 150 mg vyvanse. I have been having chest pain, shortness of breath, rapid heart rate. I went to the ER today to get it checked out and I didn't tell them about the vyvanse. This prescription I got is a couple years old and I had it leftover. It's been a while since I even touched it.
The doctors did an EKG and found it to be normal. They sent me home.
t taken vyvanse for 3 months but have consistent chest pain which started when taking the drug. my blood pressure did go up when taking the drug so i was put on atenolol. I had since discontinued the drug (about 3 months ago) but the side effects continue . I have 24/7 tight chest.
Anyone with similar experience, recommendations, etc?
I am a 12yr old female. It's the middle of the night and I am not telling my parents because I know they will say it's nothing to worry about. So I woke up around 3:00 am to wierd feeling in my chest as if I couldn't breathe, I could breathe completely fine though but it felt uncomfortable. It was in the middle of my "lower" chest. Hard to describe exactly where.
3 days later I started feeling horrible, Out of breath, horrible back pain, sleeping problems, nasuea, diahrea, swollen ancles, night sweats, chest pain and more. Its weird because the week before the last week of june I was completly fine, Play basketball and sports with out getting tired since I'm an all year around athelete.Also, yesturday I went to see my rhemutologist once agian due to shortness of breath and horrible sleep problems.
I also took some Aleve at that time, as I have been having eye pain and headaches for the last two weeks and I was hoping to aleviate that pain. I was also feeling a little dizzy and naseaus around 10pm. The nausea has become a little more common than I'd like recently. I have also been awake all night, I'm wondering if the caffine kicked in again later, or it's just me. While perusing the boards, I stumbled upon the topic of Lyme Disease, which I tested positive for five years ago.
s showed my heart was normal and a chest X-ray showed heart and lungs visually look normal and healthy. Apparently my panic attack caused esophageal spasms which can feel like a heart attack if severe enough. The spasms are gone and the panic attack is over but my heart rate today is in the 100's once again. Interestingly my heart rate was 84 this morning. I'm wondering if I somehow screwed up my body permanently with the ADHD meds.

my 27 yr old son suddenly started having dystonia "storms". He was sick over a weekend, felt bad, tired. Went to dr. next am coughing up blood. While in drs office started leaning to right, hands started clenching, arm drawn to body, speech impaired and aware the whole time. Went to ER, given atavan, and got better. The next day he had one so bad he stopped breathing and was put on a ventilator. He's been in the hospital 3 times during the past month and on ventilator 3 times.
Hello I have irritable bowel expressed pain and spasms in the lower abdomen. I noticed that I was taking some medication and then come back pains become much more powerful and terrible for a few months. I want to treat my ADHD with medication that call "Vyvanse". And in the PI registered Heather write that the medication can cause abdominal pain. So I wanted to ask whether it is better to avoid the medication? Is this a known phenomenon that such strong abdominal pains by taking drugs?

I am taking Vyvanse and Prozac, and I'm having trouble getting myself to eat. I am still in a healthy weight range, so I'm not worried about that. But I've been weak, fatigued, and dizzy at times because I'm not eating enough. Are there any protein shakes I should try, or something like that, so I can be getting the nutrients I need? I hate most protein shakes because I can't stand the texture, and they're usually gross. But I have to do something.
Kay-I also take methadone 5 mg in morning and 5 in afternoon for ruptured disc and Fybromyalgia pain. I have a mood disorder and take selexa 40 mg, topomax 200 mg (migrains)and seraquel 200 mg for sleep. I keep the methadone as low as possible bc the withdrawal are awful. Whenever you go to a new Doc always tell them what you are taking. Have a good Holiday.
So I don't know if these episodes are just random isolated occurrences or what. I've gone to my PCP and she thinks its nothing but it keeps happening.
Im a healthy active 25 year old woman. For the past 5 months ive experiences these strange, unexplainable, black out fainting episodes. The only medication I take is 30mg vyvance in the morning, 75mg trazadone at night for sleep, then ocella for birth control. I also take multi viamins b12, zinc.
I'm 21, and I've been having chest pains, so I went to the Dr. ended up getting an echocardiogram. It showed that the left ventricle in my heart was dilated (57mm). The Dr. told me to stop drinking, smoking (cigarettes), vyvanse/adderall, and cut back on caffeinated beverages. Hi there, looking for insight on lifestyle habits to better manage bipolar and ADHD disorder. Taking 600mg of lithium and 30mg of vyvanse. Wondering what nutrition choices, sleep patterns and work loads people adopt to better manage there experences with or without the medication. Also looking for information on dealing with anxiety as a result of school stress and side effects from medication.
t need meds for it, but thought it would help with the pain med abuse and just listened to the doc. Since starting the Vyvanse I now realize that it is just as addictive and habit forming as the pain meds for me. I took it correctly for maybe a month if that (started on it in Jan of this year). I realized it was becoming a problem so I tried to stop.
My 10 year old son, who is ADHD, was taking 30 mg of Vyvanse and it worked fine for like a month and half. The doctor increased his dosage to 40 mg and it was working great, but again the effects seemed to have diminished in two months. The doctor recommended to keep him in the 40 mg of Vyvanse, which he takes in the morning, and in the evening give him 1 mg of Intuniv. Do you know if that will help with his concentration at school?
I started to try different doses of Vyvanse and Adderall, starting at 10mg Vyvanse and going up to 50mg, and starting at 5mg Adderall (IR) and increasing to 10, at most, 4x a day. All of these medications seemed to increase my depressive symptoms, and since I wasn't really retaining much or cognizant of how I was doing, I ended up going three weeks without touching my homework, going to class or talking to my friends.
