Avatar f tn I'm on my period and out of no where I get a bump on my vulva (I believe that's the correct term). It's very sensitive and I switched pads it seems to have cut down on the irritation. What caused it and could it be an STD?
Avatar n tn s definitely not horrible...just a little irritating. I feel like when I feel the irritation on my vulva I also feel my anus itching/irritated as well. I just went to the gyn and was diagnosed with HPV high-risk and had a colposcopy done and awaiting the results of that. I asked my gyn while I was there about possible infections and he said that I didnt have any vaginal infection (such as yeast, bv, etc).

Avatar m tn This consisted of irritation on the vulva, a patch of fluid filled bumps underneath my left eyebrow (which went away the next morning), And swelling of my (FACE) lips(right where they meet together) I also experience chills which made goosebumps all over my body. And on my left bottom eyelid there were little pus spots that made a linear pattern along the eyelid. no bilsters, but i did have three bumps on my vaginal lips. Could this be herpes or an allergic reaction to latex.

1718217 tn?1309841424 Hi, I have really bad itching on my vulva beside my labia. I have been keeping the area clean and dry, there is no discharge, no smell but I scratched so bad and caused a bad rash that actually bled. Is there a home remedy for this itching or should I go to my Gynocologist for an exam?
Avatar f tn I recently turned 41 and have started having problems with dryness in the vulva leading to painful intercourse. At times it itches and the pain feels like cuts or like needles poking me. At times certain areas will bleed but not necessarily from having intercourse but I think its from the dryness. I have been taking birth control for a while to control heavy menstrual cycles and just recently found out that I am diabetic.
Avatar m tn Maybe 2-3 days later, I started experiencing irritation and discomfort in my vaginal area. A day or so after feeling the irritation, I noticed that my vagina was very swollen. I started rubbing down there because of the unbearable irritation and it seemed to get worse. I looked down there to check it out and saw that the skin inside and around the vulva area looked like it had been tearing and the skin looked very peely (not actually peeling off though).
Avatar n tn After I did some test and after being treated for the bacterial vaginosis, my vulva is still a little red and it still hurts and burns a little when I wear jeans or tight trousers (the redness and burning started even before the treatments, that's why I went to the doctor). I don't have any visivle blisters or lesions, I went several times to the doctor and she didn't see anything.
Avatar f tn After my period, I got intense vulva irritation, felt like a stabbing knife that would come and go throughout the day. Redness and swelling of vulva. No lesions. No blisters. No fever. No tingles. I got tested for everything under the sun with the only hit was on my HSV IGM coming up...HSV 1 negative, HSV 2 at 1.16. My doctor told me it wasn't herpes bc the vulva pain and problems persisted for a period of four months on and off, mainly after my period.
Avatar m tn While symptoms vary, it is usually characterized by thick, cottage cheese like discharge. However, I've had yeast infections without the discharge, and just had a red and sore vulva. It is often itchy. Irritation: That entire area is sensitive. You could easily cause irritation just from switching cleansing products, or wearing uncomfortable areas. STIs: Infections can cause redness and irritation. Do you have any other symptoms besides redness?
Avatar f tn Health Sciences. “Because there’s an increase in vaginal discharge during pregnancy, it can cause irritation of the skin of the vulva.” So it could just be because of your discharge, or it could be a sign of an infection like a yeast infection, bacterial vaginosis, trichomoniasis, herpes or HPV. You may also be experiencing irritation from a soap, lotion or detergent you’re using. When should I go to the doctor with my vaginal itching or swelling during pregnancy?
Avatar f tn Hello, Vulvodynia can be due to many causes like dry vulva, persistent vaginal yeast infection, irritation to antifungal treatment , sensitivity or allergy to something touching the vulva, such as soap or bubble bath, a drop in the hormone oestrogen, causing dryness of the vulva, stress, lichen sclerosus or recurrent herpes simplex infection. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
4865450 tn?1361294533 i have visible condiloma, the skin on vulva is very red, this is stinging me like hell, is very painful, i can't handle the pain, i can even sit on a chair :(( The rest of test show negative results for other diseases. 1. This pain can be caused only by hpv or i shall search for other disease????? PS: my skin from my entire body is very dry and itchy, i have 23 years old, but my skin looks like 70 yrs old. 2. You think this inside vulva pain can be about having another disease of the skin?
Avatar n tn About six months ago, my gyn. told me I should have a dermatologist look at a series of moles on my vulva (about 10 total), with special attention to a rather large one. I've had these moles ever since puberty (I'm 26 now), and atypical, non-cancerous moles run in my family, but I took her advice and went anyway.
Avatar n tn I'll try and make this as specific as possible. I had my first ever yeast infection November 2017 right after my period. It was itchy as all hell and when I looked inside it was completely white like I've never seen before. I talked to a few friends and they all said take a Monistat and it'll be gone in a week. WRONG. The monistat (1-day) burned my vulva! I was on fire and swollen and when I saw everyone else had those side effects I went to urgent care and got a diflucan.
Avatar f tn Hello all I have had burning in my vulva and some minor swelling near the opening of my vagina on and off for 2.5 mths I always feel well not right down there... Sometimes I get sharp pains but mostly I just feel kinda irritated. No blisters no sores... I have been tested for everything the only thing that shows is my hsv 1 that I have had since I was a child.. Does this sound like herpes?
Avatar f tn It could be pain around the vestibule, a part of the vulva; this could be due to irritation or something else. Regardless, I would consult with a doctor. Something like a topical ointment such as lidocaine (numbing) can help incredibly.
Avatar n tn what could this be?
Avatar f tn small, slightly raised red bumps, they go from top of pubic hair to half an inch above vulva, they itch a lot and can be painful, I have not had sex for 3 months, no unusual odor or discharge,
Avatar f tn I have had external vaginal irritation for a couple of years now. I was tested for infections and do not have any. My OB/GYN suggested I start using a douche to clear out any excess discharge. He said since I'm 36, sometimes we produce more dishcharge as we age and maybe that is causing the irritation. He also suggested "freezing" my cervix but that sounds scary to me! He sent me away with Nystatin and Triamcinolone cream, which is how I survive the irritation.
Avatar f tn s made it feel better but I still have a bit of itching, burning and irritation right around the vulva. I went today for a full STD panel and will get the results soon, but I am freaking out. Also my body is itchy, is this from the Ciprofloxacin ? I just want some answers....arrgghh. I don't have any discharge. Also, I am experiencing lower back pain...
