Avatar f tn I'm just past 13 weeks and just had my 3rd headache, all of them lasted several days and came on weekends. And made me nauseous enough to throw up, when I haven't had any other nausea or vomiting. This last one started last Friday on a quick flight for a wedding weekend and it lasted almost til the Saturday evening wedding! It was awful and Tylenol does nothing for me. The only thing I can do is take Benedryl to try and sleep it off.
Avatar f tn I have low blood pressure and I get nosebleeds pretty much every time I sneeze or blowy nose. It's because the blood vessels in your nose are swollen during pregnancy. How much water do you drink? I drink a little more than two litres a day (I think that's about half a gallon in american measurements). If I don't get enough water, I get dizzy and have a headache, so that could be part of it for you. The nausea could be a reaction to the headache, or any kind of smell...
Avatar f tn Excruciating pain until the point of vomiting continuing pain and vomiting until I fall asleep. This has lasted at some times up to three days. I have noticed that my migraines are different than my mothers, that are different than my x boyfriends, that are different from the next person, etc. etc. I personally hate taking any kind of pain killer with my migraines because they always seem to intensify the pain.

Avatar n tn I have not had any more headaches until last night, when I experienced a similar headache. This time, I did not have any vision problems, but I did experience vomiting after about 5 hours. I only vomited once and then was able to fall asleep and slept through the night. Upon awakening this morning, I found that my headache was gone with only a slight lingering feeling of pain.
Avatar m tn No not if you mean headache, nausea and vomiting. Often after surgery especialy first couple of weeks people see shimmering like the sun on the surface of water. This is called positive dysphotopsia and is felt to be light deflected by the incision. Discuss with your surgeon.
Avatar f tn For the past week I've been having vomiting spells after I've ate. It's like my body's saying it doesn't belong here, throw it up. It has happened to me 3 times, with different food. The first time I smelled some soap and vomited. About 5 days later I eating a big mac, and when I was about to finish it, I had to fight not to vomit, seeing how I was driving. Then today it happened too, when I was putting my clothes n the washer.
Avatar m tn Two bottles of water (presuming you mean 20 oz or similarly sized bottles) are not nearly enough to cause water toxicity; you have nothing to fear. The Gatorade does not contribute to water toxicity because it is isotonic (basically, because it contains the correct proportion of electrolytes for your body). Nausea in the absence of vomiting or other certain symptoms is not worthy of the emergency room.
Avatar f tn I sit down and drank some water. later that night the vomiting came. Woke up this morning still with the headache. I Keep checking and I don't have a fever. Never have gotten headaches before. The pain is in the middle shooting out and nothing makes it go away. The nausea and lightheaded comes and goes. I feel tired but get enough uninterrupted sleep.
Avatar m tn Hi, As mentioned from the other post, the initial symptoms include, but are not limited to, changes in taste and smell, headache, fever, nausea, vomiting, and stiff neck. Secondary symptoms include confusion, hallucinations, lack of attention, ataxia, and seizures. After the start of symptoms, the disease progresses rapidly over 3 to 7 days. Check with your doctor if you have these symptoms and to ease any anxiety. Take care and do keep us posted.
564395 tn?1216340443 t tolerate the light from the monitor (eyes very painful) .. sudden attack of headache and felt like vomiting. My body became weak and just had to go lie down. Fell into a long deep sleep and felt better when awoke. This morning at about 3am I felt the headache again and felt like throwing up. Pls advice.
Avatar f tn Also through the night i kept vomiting and had a little diarrhea. Any kind of intake, even a drink of water would make me want to throw up. My guess was that since my pulse was high the throbing in my throat was causing my nausea. I did take 2 (500mg) ibuprofen pills last night but it didn't make the pain go away. I threw up about 5 times during the night, so I didn't get much sleep.

Avatar f tn Hi Ladies does anyone know whether its normal to have such horrible eye pain and headache after vomiting. I'm 17 wks still experiencing hyperemesis and when ever I vomit I get this dreadful eye pain and horrible headache. If this is normal is there something I can put on my eye or head to lessen the pain duration. Help please I can nearly open my eyes.
Avatar n tn t always help, severe headache for more than 4 hours, and nausea without vomiting. Go see your normal doctor and they will probably prescribe some stronger pain medicine and may recommend you see a neurologist. For me, the stronger pain meds didn't really work. They decreased the severity of the headache but the pain was still there even though I was kinda stoned. Without medicine, what helps me is laying down in total darkness and complete quiet with a cold, damp wash cloth on my face.
Avatar m tn Fever (high such as 101 or 102 F) headache, stiff neck, and vomiting and nausea. There are other symptoms like confusion, seizures, change in smell or taste, loss of balance and sensitivity to light. A fever of 99 is usually normal. You can get other things from fresh water like parasites (Giardia) and so forth. So if you get diarrhea and things like that you can get tested for stool parasites. So if you develop bad diarrhea stomach cramps etc. Then see a doctor for that.
Avatar n tn while i was in fact vomiting, i got a sudden and severe headache in the back of my head, enough to back me seriously sit back. my first thought was of course "oh know, i've popped something" i don't want to be over reacting over something brought on only by the vomiting, but then again i can't be too sure. there seems to be a small pressure still in my head where the headache started. if anyone haves any ideas, i would greatly appriciate it. thank you.

Avatar n tn my boyfriend has body aches all over, headache, vomiting, dizziness, lack of energy, and loss of appetite. i think he has the flu? could it be the flu?
Avatar f tn Lots of water. You are also in the weeks where it is safe for you to take Motrin. If that doesn't help maybe rootbeer or dark chocolate I heard helps, or even just good old fashion Coke (that's what got rid of my last headache & I am just days behind you).
Avatar f tn I have emetophobia. I have since taken two more zofran and Pepto. No vomiting or diarrhea, but I did wake up with a bad headache. I haven’t eaten a lot lately. Does this mean I will be sick for a longer period of time? How will the virus shed?

Avatar n tn First, as an antiemetic, Metoclopramide stops nausea and vomiting. You mentioned that you get nausea and vomiting. If you do not already have an antiemetic in your acute treatment plan, then you should speak to your doctor about adding one in. If your doctor prescribes you an antiemetic, usually you are supposed to take it at the same time as your first-line medication.
Avatar m tn vomiting, dizziness, slight pain in my heart, and diarrhea. I could not even drink water, and I lost a bit weight. I visited a general practitioner who told me that it was due to fatigue, stress, or food poisoning. He prescribed multivitamins (effervescent), medicine containing magnesium, and some capsules for the stomach. After a week I felt better. Almost a month and half later, I fell sick again, but this time it was very serious. I almost DIED. I had the same symptoms, except diarrhea.
Avatar m tn Some comfort measures for someone with a fever include fever-reducing medications, cool wet rag on the head, cover in light blanket (heavy blankets actually trap the heat), avoid taking hot baths, this will only increase your temperature, drink plenty of fluids, especially clear cool liquids such as water and fruit juice to prevent dehydration, if the fever is high, you may give a light sponge bath using tepid water only, not cool or cold water, and no alcohol!
