Avatar f tn Overall, when you see blood, you begin to think of the worst. But, just exactly what caregiver222 said, its not always lethal. But the way you're describing it could be a harsh case of Pneumonia or Tuberculosis. Either way, they both are difficult to have. I've had a lot of experiences with Pneumonia myself, and i'm 17. In addition, this could also be H1N1 starting to kick in, but don't start to worry about that.
363110 tn?1340920419 Just curious to see if there are any forum members who've had H1N1, not the vaccine the actual flu bug it'sself. How seriously did you get it? I'm going in tomorrow for a nasal swab to see if that's what I've got right now. Basically I had my seasonal flu shot, but H1N1 wasn't out yet. We've had a nasty bug going around our home, and my OB thought maybe it was a gastrointerological thing, except I'm not dealing with any diarreah.
1004712 tn?1263393948 Between April and August 2009, 700 cases of H1N1 were confirmed in pregnant women. Of those 700 women, 100 were hospitalized. Of those 100 hospitalized women, 28 died. So a factual statistic is that 1 in 4 pregnant women can die IF HOSPITALIZED. There is a great group forum called the Swine Flu Vaccine Debate Forum that has all these concerns and info. http://www.medhelp.org/forums/Swine-H1N1-Flu-Vaccine-Debate-Forum/show/438?
1027524 tn?1259033777 The only way to find out is to go to your doctor. I would definitely go. good luck. I hope everythings okay!
Avatar f tn But she has to watch it closely. And she needs to stay hydrated. Any worsening of symptoms and she should go in. This is not the time to "wait and see".
167 tn?1374173817 The first thing to do is check your symptoms, to see if it really is swine flu (H1N1). The symptoms are similar to those of ordinary flu: • sometimes but not always fever • tiredness • cough • headache • muscles and joint pain. H1N1 flu can also cause: • acute abdominal pain • diarrhea • vomiting • sore throat • runny nose A fever caused by H1N1 flu can be very high: if you have regular flu your fever is unlikely to go above 39 degrees C (102.2 degrees F).
Avatar n tn ve been having a bad cough for 4 days. Today with the cough i have stomach pain and diarrhea. No vomiting. What should I do? Let it pass, maybe it's just a stomach virus or go see my PCP?? I'm scared now with the N1H1.
Avatar f tn essdipity, Lulu54, and Quixotic.... Thank You So Much for responding to my Question!!! TBH I was MORE Fearful of Not being able to receive the H1N1 Vaccine in this First Round of Shots!!! I've been Washing My Hands so often, they are starting to Dry Out and Crack!!! I am a Very Diligent Person, Regarding My Health and Spend Hours RESEARCHING What or How Any Supplement or Drug Would or Could Interact w/My Daily/Weekly Meds!
688450 tn?1259468734 HAVE ANY OF YOUR YOUNG CHILDREN EXPERIENCED ANY OF THE ADVERSE REACTIONS TO THE H1N1 VACCINE THAT I HAVE BEEN READING ABOUT ALL OVER THIS FORUM? I HOPE NOT, AND IF SO WHAT KIND OF REMEDIES ARE YOU ADMINISTERING TO THEM? WHAT DOES YOUR PEDIATRICIAN SAY TO DO? HAS ANY OF YOUR DRS. OWNED UP AND ADMITTED THAT IT IS OBVIOUS TO THEM THAT IT IS THE H1N1 VACCINE THAT IS CAUSING THESE SYMPTOMS?
Avatar m tn about 6-days later, i had the diarhea, nausea, headaches, nasal drainage, cough, chills. no fever. of course these symptoms i have on/off every year. too, i've had the pins/needles/cold-pins on my left face on and off and a new place on left side of head. mentally, just felt kinda "not with-it" for lack of better adjective. so off i go to the emergency room today out at the air force base as it is free for vets. if i hadn't had the H1N1 shot i would have not gone probably.
571042 tn?1271447141 Yeah...I am thinking about maybe not doing the H1N1 because the cases of H1N1 in our state are very mild. Like a cold. It doesn't seem to effect the babies like it has been the adults. But I don't know. That is why I want opinions from you gals.
Avatar m tn They no longer test for H1N1 and why would the symptoms last for 2 and a half weeks from h1n1?
944080 tn?1298919453 Her friend who was in her last trimester of pregnancy had died of complications of the h1n1 virus. Her baby did survive. I think it is a big deal and it is something to be very cautious about. Also alot of women say that they have had H1N1 and were never tested for it...only had symptoms...so how do we really know who has actually had it or not? If you go to the CDC website it can give you some statistics on pregnant women and h1n1.
363110 tn?1340920419 Dh got sick at work today, puking and tummy problems too.... he threw up on the way home (a buddy dropped him off since we were getting our car breaks fixed) then he threw up at home and has been getting sick every so often. I'm making him call out of work tomorrow (he doesn't want to but he has no choice, i'm hiding the keys! The man would have to be hospitalized to miss work!) I hope TJ and I don't both get sick.
Avatar n tn In light of the current H1N1 epidemic, and because I'm in my sixties, I'm wondering how hard flu is on the heart. I've just recently been diagnosed with PVCs and have about 8000 a day. Since I'll be unable to get that flu vaccine , I'm concerned that the H1N1 flu might really put a strain on my heart and lungs if I'd catch it from my grandkids. What do you think?
Avatar n tn My 15 year old daughter is recovering from what I believe to be H1N1 although not confirmed on viral swab, clinically consistent symptoms and contact with confirmed H1N1 sufferers. During the course of the flu she developed red scaly patches on her torso and a few on her arms. There does not seem to be any other possible trigger for this, it is not pruritic or weeping but it is spreading.
Avatar f tn Is this a late reaction from combination of flu and H1n1? My neurologist said my weakness was from my hospitalization. Could this be a complication from LP? I don't know what is wrong with me?
Avatar f tn The vaccine that is used for H1N1 is the same technology as regular flu vaccine. http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/rr58e0821a1.htm Vaccines against novel influenza A (H1N1) virus infection are being produced using methods similar to those used for seasonal influenza vaccines.
