Avatar f tn For the past week I've been having vomiting spells after I've ate. It's like my body's saying it doesn't belong here, throw it up. It has happened to me 3 times, with different food. The first time I smelled some soap and vomited. About 5 days later I eating a big mac, and when I was about to finish it, I had to fight not to vomit, seeing how I was driving. Then today it happened too, when I was putting my clothes n the washer.
2032629 tn?1329618488 I always kept a bag of crackers by my night stand for the first 12 weeks or so. Eat a few first thing in the morning will calm your stomach and reducing vomiting. Otherwise try ginger ale and apple sauce. Drink plenty of water and take your prenatal vitmines. As for the body pain, try a body pillow. I sometime just move to the couch to nap if I can't get comfortable in bed. It's going to be better in a couple more weeks and you feel and eat like a normal person again.
Avatar f tn So I was just eating some lunch and out of nowhere I literally had to run to the bathroom to throw up I almost didnt even make it! Im 21 weeks with no more morning sickness...is this normal?

Avatar n tn My 20 year old daughter has been vomiting after eating and has had numerous gastro tests done that all appear to be normal. She's also on depression meds (Cymbalta, Lithium and Seroquel), and I'm wondering if it could be Lithium toxicity (a buildup of lithium in the system) causing the vomiting ... hoping to get her to the doc tomorrow ... blood work might be required to confirm that.

Avatar f tn Hello Dear, Known causes of potassium deficiency include excessive diarrhea and vomiting. The treatment in these cases should be for the diarrhea and vomiting, and ensuring there continues to be sufficient potassium in the diet. Mineral supplements may also be necessary. If the vomiting is self-induced, as in bulimia, psychiatric treatment may be indicated. Hyperthyroidism, an illness of the thyroid, the main hormone producing gland, is also known to cause potassium deficiency.
