Endoscopy, MRI, gastro emptying study, hida scan and others...
Avatar m tn When there is sludge or stones in the gallbladder, removal is sometimes curative of symptoms of abdominal pain and nausea & vomiting. If the reason is due to a blockage of the common bile duct, the gallbladder removal doesn't take care of that since it's higher up from there. With recurrent right upper quadrant abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting, evaluation of the common bile duct with ultrasound is reasonable to consider.

Avatar f tn Hello, sorry to hear about your boyfriends stomach problems. I also have bile reflux, but not to the point of vomiting like this. It sounds like he is over producing bile also...? If the doctor gave him any medication for the H. Pylori, is he still taking it? If not maybe another round of it would help. Also, they can prescribe Regalin or Metacopamide , for short periods. It helps the bile go down into the small intestine instead of coming back into the stomach.
900720 tn?1241996271 t necessarily that bad of a situation. If she is vomiting yellow bile, it may be because she has nothing else in her stomach such as food or other liquids. It's kind of like dry heaving, but you still have the acid in your stomach. Especially if she is having alot of heartburn, that means her stomach is producing an excess amount of acid, therefore that is the yellow bile she is heaving. Now as for the blood...

Avatar m tn It is not that uncommon for dogs to vomit yellow bile, which is usually a sign of an upset or empty stomach. Dogs will often graze on grass then throw up to help relieve an upset stomach. This can often be remedied by feeding smaller meals more frequently but not more food. Have you changed foods recently? This could be something more serious, of course. Any chance your dog may have ingested something in the house or outside?
Avatar f tn With a gallbladder, usually bile is stored up until you eat something with a lot of fats and oils and then once the body senses high fat coming after the stomach it releases bile by squeezing out the bile..and helping break down the heavy fatty meal. Without a gallbladder, the bile just freely flows out whenever basically so normally people without a gallbladder should avoid heavy fats like cheese or the body won't be able to break it down and you'll end up with IBS-D as a result.
Avatar n tn s way up to just beneath my sternum. Once it moves up to my stomach area is when I begin vomiting green bile. I had my gall bladder removed a few years ago and began having similar stomach aches at that time but no vomiting. I was also diagnosed with Crohn's disease last February however have never had such symptoms previously and know that I had Crohn's disease for many years before being diagnosed.
Avatar n tn Its usually in the morning right after waking up but occasionally last all day. It is very painful because the vomit is usually dry and I have to cough it out unless it is bile. My stomach will feel like it is on fire occasionally also. Sometimes there is bright red steaks but I am not sure if it is blood or not. It has gotten increasingly worse and I can't take off work from it anymore. Latly I feel as if I have been urinating very frequently and sometimes become very dizzy.
Avatar n tn After a bowel movement I noticed a strong pain in my stomach which brought on the vomiting. The pain would not stop until everything in my stomach was out, food or bile. The bowel movement were either semi-formed or soft. Those symptoms occurred only in the mornings within 10-20 minutes of me waking up. Until a week ago when I became nauseous out of the blue in the evening time, which has now become a steady happening. Bowel movements do not always precede the evening sickness however.
Avatar n tn The yellow was the bile at the pit of the stomach so obviously you have irritated the stomach to the extent of a bleed. Yuo should go to the doctor and tell him about your drinking.

114870 tn?1210298346 Best way while sitting around waiting is to make sure she lies on her right side to avoid bile piling up in her stomach. Since she has no gallbladder now, bile is draining freely from her liver and going into her stomach...also nexium/protonix/acidphex probably should be continued. If she eats I wouldn't lie down right after but if she has to, prop the chest up and lie on the right side so that bile doesn't fill up her stomach.
Avatar m tn My mother went through gallbladder removal surgery for acalculous cholecystitis, four days after surgery, she again developed sever stomach pain and vomiting. She was readmitted and post all sort of diagnosis nothing revealed bile leak. However there was accumulation of bile, so she was administered diagnostic laproscopic and washed out the bile and fixed drain tubes. After this too there was bile leak in significant quantity.
Avatar n tn Thanks for answering! It varies depending whether I have a full stomach. It is not bile. Usually just dry-heaves if I have an empty stomach. The last upper endoscopy I had was about 7 years ago. Truthfully the only thing I remember from the path report was an overall normal interpretation. Some lining inflammation, but nothing significant. Probably going to insist on another soon since it's been so long.
Avatar f tn The yellow stuff is probably stomach bile, which means your stomach is completely empty. I agree with Preg2015, if you can't even keep water down, call your doc or go to the er.
Avatar f tn s and the only thing that shows is excessive bile in his stomach and a small hyatel hernia. He had been on protonix for approx 4 years due to barretts esoph. and recently switched over to prevacid 2/day. The last endoscopy did not show barretts esoph. but he vomits sometimes 3 or more times a day. This can go on for days at a time then for some reason he has a day with no vomiting. This has been going on since February.
Avatar n tn Hello the craps you are having are most likely becoming severe enough to cause you to vomit, which is not uncommon with severe pain. I had the same problem in my younger days. Menstrual craps can are very painful at times for most women, but for others it can be excruciating. The trick to preventing this, is to not allow your pain to reach that level to start with.
Avatar f tn If you are not eating and you are vomiting, it will be yellow because all there is left in your stomach is bile. This may just be attributed to anxiety. If you are anxious, maybe that is causing your lack of appetite. In reaction, you are feeling nauseous because you have nothing in your stomach causing you to vomit. See your doc. They may refer you to a specialist.
