Common Questions and Answers about Vomiting one year old

vomiting

Avatar f tn Ok, so my four year old has been vomiting like everyday, but only at certain times. He's started to go to preschool, and for the first week of him riding the bus he was fine. But after that, he would throw up on the bus, but ONLY int he mornings. I thought at first that it was motion sickness, so we bought some motioneaze to try, and that still didn't work.
Avatar f tn I have a 12 year old son. He has been vomiting intermittently for the past year. He was better during the summer months but as I write (March) has been sick and getting worse for three months. He has has an MRI, allergy tests, bacterial tests and a scan to check that there is no internal blockage etc. ALL negative. He isn't stressed (apart from by being ill). Sickness generally occurs at night, he has bouts of severe vomiting even if there is nothing in his stomach.
Avatar m tn I have a one year old beagle. A month ago she started vomiting each night. We waited 2 days to make sure she didn't just have an upset stomach. Other than the vomiting she is perfectly normal...eating, drinking, playing, and regular bowel movements. We took her to the vet and they tried nausia medicine and pepcid for 2 weeks as well as changing to 3 small meals a day with special food. They did an x-ray but did not see an obvious obstruction.
Avatar f tn He is also starting to show muscle weakness after all the immobility. Before all this he was a normal thirteen year old boy slightly on the hyper side. If he had the stomach flue he would just get sick and go back out and play. What I was hoping if you could pass this off to your medical staff and see if they could come up with anything and see him or offer more help. We do have medical insurance through united health care.

1984945 tn?1326556865 My 5 year old daughter is also vomiting about every month for the past 5 or so months. It wakes her early in the morning and then will vomit one to three times and then is fine. She has a stomachache right before it, but no other recurring symptom consistently goes along with it. She has a congenital heart defect and the genetic condition called HHT. She has in the past had seizure looking episodes that have never been diagnosed as anything because she has had clean EEGs.
Avatar m tn For the last week my five year old has been complaining about sever stomach pain. He has experienced some vomiting and diarrhea. At times he reports no pain at all and has been out riding his bike. However, at other times; mostly in the evening he cannot even move due to the severe pain. He has had no fever and says that his entire stomach hurts and not one area more than the other. Any ideas?
Avatar m tn Hello, my ten year old son has been having a squeezing/stabbing stomach pain about an inch below his belly button. This has been constants for 55 days as well he has been retching ( dry heaving ) for 55 days. The dr has done multiple blood/ stool tests and seen nothing abnormal. The pain is almost unbearable at night, during the day the pain is there but not as bad. The retching seems to happen at any time. Sometime the episodes are very short other times they may last 10 or so minutes.
396844 tn?1201186144 My 8 year old boy has severe headaches that are only relieved by vomiting. This has been diagnosed as migrane, for which he is given 10ml of Sanomigran per night and has to stay away from dairy and MSG foods such as Chinese and potato chips. Hope this helps.
1176038 tn?1263687032 My 1 year old daughter has had loose and even watery stools for a few weeks. They are mustard/tan in color and explodes out of her diaper EVERY TIME. I've been to her dr a couple of times and they just keep telling me to give her pedialyte. This isnt solving the problem. She has been on cows milk now for a month. She eats a pretty regular diet. Her stool while she was on formula was solid and normal in color. She has also had vomiting episodes twice in the past 3 weeks.
Avatar f tn My three year old daughter keeps randomly vomiting. I'm not sure why. It's usually at night time and before and after she acts fine. She also has no other symptoms. should i take her to the doctor or just deal with it when it happens?
Avatar n tn He gained weight rapidly until he reached 6 months old then hardly gained even a pound since then. He is now one year old but only weighs 16.5lbs. He eats very well and is not a picky eater at all. I had horrible allergies as a child and was allergic to everything including wheat and milk. Many of my family members also have wheat and dairy allergies so I have decided not to feed him any wheat or dairy until he is 2 years old. My doctor agreed that this was a wise decision.
Avatar f tn I have a one year old girl that cries constantly unless she is being held while I am standing. Will she grow out of this or could this be something more serious. She is always fed, diapered and has lots of toys. She does this at home and daycare.
1256437 tn?1301553479 I'm so sorry for your loss honey. I'm in a similar boat, my angel grew wings last year, and I would have been due sometime within the next 2 weeks. We are trying again with Clomid for the 2nd time now, as we are finally ready. It was a very emotional time for us, as I'm sure it has been for you as well (and everyone else that goes through it!).
Avatar f tn I spent all day yesterday at the ER with my 14 year old son. Symptoms were: Headache (only when moving eyes), nasuea, vomiting (twice) (after vomiting head pain got better), lung pain especially when taking deep breaths, chills, hot flashes, sinus congestion, and fever(101.9). Did lots of blood tests (can't begin to tell you what all for). EKG normal.
Avatar f tn I have a 20 month old daughter that has been vomiting (sometimes up to 4 times a day) from birth and because she was always gaining weight, nothing was ever done until i took her to see a paediatrician. He ran blood tests, stool samples, and a Barium(?) swallow test, but they all came back fine. They're leaning towards a lactose intolerence so my daughter has been on a very stricked no milk (or anything containing milk) diet but still seems to be vomiting.

Avatar m tn My 10 year 3 month old American Eskimo has been diagnosed with CRF Stage 3. His Creatinine levels are 4.5, and BUN is 68. Our vet has put him on IVF, but he continues to vomit sometimes. He is peeing after day 1 of IVF, and I'm pretty much desperate for any way for him to recover. It seems like a nightmare. He seemed completely fine two weeks ago, and now his condition has deteriorated so quickly. His blood work a week ago was CRE 1.4 and BUN 14. No idea what happened in a week.
