Common Questions and Answers about Vomiting low body temperature

vomiting

Avatar f tn Postoperative low temperature, nausea and vomiting are unpleasant "normal" immediate and early side effects of surgical procedures due to a combination of factors, the most prominent ones being associated with the administration of anaesthetic and haemorrhage. As the effects of the anaesthesia wear off, normally within 24 hours or less after the surgery, the patient should start experiencing improvement and better temperature regulation.
Avatar n tn Hello, The normal range of body temperature is 98 - 99 F by oral measurement. The body temperature is lower in the morning and rises by evening, with a range of about half a degree. In your son’s case, this lowering of body temperature can be due to Tylenol.Tylenol which is an antipyretic when used causes decrease in fever as a result of which sweating is there. This sweat on evaporation cools the body and lowers the te[mperature. So I don’t think that it is much of a concern.
Avatar m tn I was just wondering if low body temperature and sepsis is something that can occur during seroconversion? I had low grade fever for a day or 2, but I have been experiencing drops in body temperature over the past 4 weeks. The lowest I have recorded is 94.3. I just took it and it was 95.3, I never experience fever in between.
Avatar f tn Mine also, low body temp and low blood pressure, even pre HCV, sometimes it is genetic. My Mother was the same. Thyroid has always been ok. even during tx.
Avatar m tn I would like to know the reasons for a continuous low body temperature of 92 -94 degrees.
Avatar m tn Ive suffered from low body temperature for 2 days now. From past 2 weeks I've been dealing with lots of other symptoms including severe sore throat, dry cough and nasal cogestion. It seemed as if once I recovered from one infection another came in. I've mainly recovered now, but since yesterday my body temperature seems very low 95.5 axillary and I'm experiencing dizziness and slight nausea in the evenings and before sleep.
Avatar n tn Low thyroid hormone (hypothyroidism) can cause a low body temperature. Diabetes, anemia, low or high cortisol levels, lyme disease or an infection could also cause fluctuations or variations in temperature. If you are concerned you could go to the doctor and have some tests done. Goodluck!
Avatar f tn Well, not all human beings have the perfect bookish body temperature. A person can have a ‘normal body temperature’ that would become lower in certain instances. Another person can have a lower temperature without any cause. It also depends on what time you take the temperature. The temperature is lowest early in the morning and rises by night. The commonest cause of feeling cold is low external temperature.
1122824 tn?1274107014 low body temperature is related to my condition. I know that this low body temp has been ongoing for many years (10+ years). My temperature rarely goes above 36C. It can and does go as low as 34.5. Most of the time I feel normal, but I find that I get very cold very quickly even in very hot outside temperatures. I also often have very cold hands even if my body feels warm. My fingers will also change colour to become waxy and pale looking.
Avatar m tn High blood pressure (160/100). Constant heart palps. Low body temperature (used to be a little over 98, but now it's around 96/97). Major fatigue. I've been to many doctors (cardiologist, urologist, endrocrinologist, pulmonologist, even a psychiatrist) and no one can seem to find anything wrong. I don't have a thyroid so my endo is monitoring my TSH levels pretty closely, attempting to keep me more hyper than hypo (but this hasn't affected my symptoms).
Avatar f tn This is part of what I just posted on another thread by someone whose body temperature is low "hypothermia sets in at about 95° (35° C). At 91° amnesia sets in; at 82° loss of consciousness can occur; below 70° death can occur.
Avatar n tn It's not unusual to have a lowered body temperature. I think we had a poll on average body temps, and they range from 96.7 to 98°... I've heard that people going through flares can have extremely low body temperatures. Personally, when I'm having a flare, or feeling badly, I can have quite low body temperatures - I end up wearing a long-sleeved shirt to keep warn inside the house.
645800 tn?1466860955 For as long as I can remember I have had a low normal body temperature. It normally run at about 96.3 and since core temperature in usually about 1 degree high this would make it 97.3. I have also read that any core temperature below 97 in considered mild hypothermia. As such it doesn't take much of a lowering of my body temperature for me to start shivering. So it seems reasonable to me that this is the main reason I have always hated cold weather.
Avatar f tn Just curious, having low body temperature between 95.8 - 96.8 lately - could this be a sign of thyroid disorder? I don't ever remember my body temperature being this low.
Avatar f tn Well, not all human beings have the perfect bookish body temperature. A person can have a ‘normal body temperature’ that would become lower in certain instances. Another person can have a lower temperature without any cause. If your body temperature is constant for a particular time of the day or night measured over a week, there is nothing to worry about. The temperature is lowest early in the morning. However, if you feel chills, weakness etc then consult a doctor. Take care!
Avatar m tn Well, I did a little looking, and as you all probably know, low body temp is a symptom of hypothyroid (which I have). Does anyone know what the normal body temp is for hypothyroid? Should my body temperature start to increase now that I'm on the levoxyl? I guess what I'm wondering is this -- if my body temp starts to go up to normal, does that mean my thyroid is becoming regulated?
645800 tn?1466860955 6 is normal and 100 is concidered a temperature does my lower normal body temperature mean I am running a fever at a lower temperature? 2) Most people are comfortable at 70 degrees air temperature while for me I am starting to feel over heated at that temperature. As a result I keep my home at 68 year round in order to feel comfortable. Is this because of my lower body temperature?
Avatar f tn I have hypothyroidism, low thyroid. My body temperature went down, vomiting, diarrhea, always felt cold and fatigued. I would ask the Family Physician and or Doctor in E.R. for a Complete Blood Count, Metabolic Panel, TSH(check the thyroid),and Lymes Disease test. Pray your hubby feels better soon.
Avatar f tn I read at a lot of places that the body temperature changes when you sleep, almost always cools down when you sleep. (I am assuming this is because the body is trying to conserve energy, physically thinking, lower temperature would imply lower change in entropy). However, the other day I slept without Turing my heater on and it was very cold. However I woke up with a much higher body temperature.
Avatar f tn Dehydration causes a low body temperature.... get to a hospital please if you've been too warm and sweaty!!
402504 tn?1241996524 Out of all my searches for body temperature all I can find is Thyroid problems. Well all my thyroid test are fine. But I am cold most of the time. I live in Houston where it can get extremely hot, but I don't think I have sweated at all this summer. At the beginning of my MS (or whatever this is) experience I was experiencing heat intollerance. But now I am just cold all the time. My symptoms don't get worse in the cold or anything, I am just cold.
