Hi my 4 months old baby was sick last month she had fever for almost 10 days. I used to check rectal. It was between 98.8 to 101.3. I was giving her Tylenol infants every 4 hours as needed & I was constantly calling her doctor's office. Their response was to watch fever & see if she eats properly. Then I took her to children's hospital emergency unit. They did a urine test via catheter. It came back positive for urine infection. They gave me an antibiotic to give her once a day.
