Vomiting in pregnancy first trimester

Common Questions and Answers about Vomiting in pregnancy first trimester

vomiting

Avatar f tn I had a nasty flu over the weekend. Sore throat, fever for about 18 hours and vomiting all night. I tried to keep the fever down with tylenol, but it really didn't do much for me. I didn't have a thermometer but when my fever broke I was sweating profusely so I'm worried that maybe it was pretty high. I know it's not good to have a fever in the first trimester and now I'm a little nervous. Has anyone else been sick like this in the first trimester?
Avatar n tn I had no nausea or vomiting in the first trimester with this pregnancy. I had some in the second trimester though. Every pregnancy is different, no worries:) I'm 38 weeks with a healthy baby girl. Congratulations!
Avatar n tn OK so I'm in my first trimester and I'm having period like bleeding with clots and all i went to the doctors and had her check it out and she said it could be early signs of a miscarriage BUT she did a ultrasound and the yolk sac is still in place and my cervix is normal this bleeding only happens after sex this morning I didn't even have sex I just kinda got turned on and the bleeding started.

Avatar f tn with all four of my pregnancies I list weight in the first trimester. My doctore said that if I gained no weight at all but the baby was healthy was all that mattered.
Avatar m tn Hello, Although throwing up, vomiting and nausea are the frequent symptoms in the first trimester but these symptoms can persist in some women in the second trimester also. If the vomiting are severe then hyperemesis gravidarum should be ruled out. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn Any of you March mommies still having the terrible first trimester symptoms?? I'm 12 weeks 5 days and still battling with morning sickness and bloating. Just wondering when to expect that to end. I hope soon!!
Avatar f tn I am a little over 5 weeks pregnant and worried about EVERYTHING... My breast have been very sore and I've been cramping everyday since my missed period. When does the cramping stop? I've also been nauseous but no vomiting. My first doctor appointment isn't until the end of September. Any advice on what to do and not to do beside the usual (prenatal vitamins, no drinking, lots of rest & fluid, etc.)?
Avatar f tn Last night though, I ended up throwing up for what was probably the first time in 2 weeks. Is it normal to still throw up after the first trimester? Besides sore breasts, my symptoms have mostly stopped, although I do get some cramps, but only when I'm laying down. I just want to make sure everything is still ok, most of what I've read has said that nausea usually goes away by the second trimester.
489000 tn?1364302227 Is anyone experiencing vomiting in the 3rd trimester? I had nausea from the start until I was about 15 weeks or so. I have been fine since. However, this past weekend I started with nausea and now Im vomiting. I have a call into the OB with a nurse but just wanted to see if anyone has had this happen to them.
Avatar f tn Normally weight loss would be a bonus for me but in pregnancy its scary. Ive been suffering from hyperemesis 9wks now and ive lost 20lb since being pregnant! From being overweight Im now at the other end of the normal bmi range and worried about my baby. Seeing the midwife this morning and have a strong feeling im going to end up in hospital again as im struggling to keep anything down despite trying medication.

Avatar f tn 13 weeks is the beginning of your second trimester. Go speak with your doc because there are great meds for pregnant women for nausea and vomiting. Don't put yourself through misery when you have options!! I've had vomiting for weeks, got meds, worked like a charm!! and now that I'm in second trimester I've been able to go days wth no meds and no sickness!
Avatar f tn Oml I feel like I'm going to have a rough pregnancy I'm always achey and hurting and is it okay that I've lost 6 pounds off my pre pregnancy weight?
Avatar n tn I had my first/only pregnancy at 36 and the doctor told me the first trimester & the third are the most difficult. I also read it in the book "What To Expect When You're Expecting" (highly recommended, I read every word.) Anyhow, the advice proved to be true. You are SUPER tired the 1st trimester.....all I did was sleep when I could. Didn't have much of an appetite either (that part varies by person i think. ) 2nd trimester...tons of energy....
Avatar n tn Hello, this is my first pregnancy and I'm 8 weeks 2 days. I'm just wondering the typical symptoms people get in the 1st trimester? What have you guys noticed, is there anything I should know?
Avatar f tn Did you lose weight because of nausea and vomiting? @Yessi808 Have you stopped vomiting? I'm so curious because I'll be in my second trimester in 2 weeks and I hope the vomiting will cease. I lost 7lbs already.
Avatar f tn So I did spend the 1st trimester being nauseous but it was never to the point of vomiting. Today, at 21 weeks, I was feeling dizzy, world spinning, and in the evening found myself throwing up in the bathroom. Is this normal? After vomiting my system felt relieved but here and there I still get dizzy spells. Any clues?

708222 tn?1276135032 It was waking me out of dead sleep, on more than one occasion. In my first pregnancy, I had next to NO symptoms, no morning sickness, no nausea, no cravings, nothing! I had a baby boy. This time I am overly tired (could be that I have a 9 month old to take care of!!!) nauseated all the time, irritated beyond belief, moody and really hungry too. I don't get it! I know each pregnancy is completely different, but this one is TOTALLY different!
Avatar f tn I had acid reflux/heartburn my first two pregnancies but not this time, this time its a lot more nausea and vomiting, but I do crave for apple juice, thanks for the tips! I'll be sure to take a few!

10841231 tn?1427427244 So far my pregnancy has been fairly easy. Besides the mild nausea, fatigue, cravings, and constipation. But as soon as I entered week 9 (currently 9w+4) I have crazy food aversions, certain smells make me gag or vomit. But the icing on the cake is the vomiting. I get horrible waves of nausea then, it leads to vomiting. Is it normal to get it this far into the the first trimester? I've had such an easy time so far and I'm just now getting morning sickness. Help!
