Avatar n tn There is stomach flu going round and many children have it ..Certainly if she is till sick and vomiting in the next 24 hours with a fever its always a good thing to have her checked out, meantime give her plenty of water and pedalite so she wont get dehydrated..ease up on the eating give her bland foods that wont make the issue worse .
Avatar f tn In viral symptoms appear gradually and are less severe in bacterial they get sick fairly quickly and have a high fever and rapid breathing. With treatment bacterial is cured in 1-2 weeks..viral will last longer. There are vaccines now .The type of anti biotic depends on the type of pneumonia she has , as she has only taken the meds for a few days I would continue as prescribed but if indeed she seems worse and her temperature climbs it may be aswell to have her checked out again ..

578674 tn?1217812475 She had a pop tart for breakfast, plenty of fluid, saltine crackers and for supper I gave her chicken noodle soup. She felt fine, no vomiting, no fever. Wednesday she felt fine and went back to school, ate supper normally that night. Then today, she was fine all day until she came home from another supervised visit with her real mom. She wasn't hungry at supper time so I sent her to bed. She woke up an hour later and said her stomach hurt and threw up. She doesn't have a fever.
Avatar f tn Don't alternate Tylenol and motrin, its not recommended. Pick one and stick with it... Of she's vomiting though you can get "Fever all" is an acetaminophen suppository that way she doesn't need to take anything orally. If she's been vomiting motrin is hard on the stomach.

1356767 tn?1277275068 ll throw up every hour starting at 5 in the morning going until about 9 in the morning, and with diarrhea all through out the day. Sometimes its green and watery, others normal colored diarrhea. He has no fever and is normal up until he gets sick. The doctors keep saying that he has a stomach bug such as the "day flu" that is going around, however, no one at his day care is sick and no one in our household is. I have a terrible immune system so for me to not be sick is just amazing.
Avatar m tn If the child is vomiting, antipyretics (fever reducing medications) can be given in suppository form, rectally. Make sure of proper installation and proper dosage. There are also prescription suppository medications for vomiting. Once the child stops vomiting, attempt to give fluids orally, in small sips and portions so as not to cause vomiting again. This is an attempt to prevent dehydration.
Avatar f tn As long as it is not associated with nausea, vomiting, fever or cramping then a little spotting should not be a problem unless you have other medical problems.
Avatar n tn If she has been like this for a couple of days and no let up I would say Yes take her ,children can dehydrate quickly ,so yes take her in for them to check her out, we have heard of a nasty stomach bug going round that may be food related. Give her water to help with hydration .

509877 tn?1315361694 I have 2 children with Familial Mediterranean Fever. It's hard to have to explain this disease to people, no one else in our area seems to understand. We spent almost 4 years searching for an answer to our son's illness. (Our daughter is still too young to begin treatment.) He's taking Colchicine. He still has some abdominal pain, leg pain, but no fevers. He became incontinent after beginning treatment.
Avatar n tn My girlfriend and I are on holiday in Thailand - 10 days ago we were in Laos where she developed a fever which kept her in bed for the best part of 2 days. Although she did not vomit during that time the fever was accopanied by the usual nausea, lack of appetite, weakness, muscle ache etc. along with stomach pain. She took paracetemol over those 2 days which she's never had an adverse reaction to back home.
Avatar n tn But he has no memory at all of an entire day about 2 weeks ago. He had a stomach virus and was vomiting all day with a fever. Like I said this happened only 2 weeks ago and he has absolutely no recollection of being sick ( he is very afraid of vomiting and is almost traumatized by it), no recollection of watching movies in his bed on the portable DVD player, nothing. Should I be worried about this?
Avatar f tn My 4 year old woke up Tuesday morning vomiting with a fever. Throughout the day she continuously complained of pain in her lower right abdomen but my husband said that it would be worse if it was her appendix. By 7pm she was vomiting bloody foam so I took her to the urgent care where they advised I take her to the pediatric ER at the hospital. I took her in and they said it was most likely the flu but they were going to do a CT just to be sure.
Avatar n tn I'm taking it that she is seeing a PEDIATRIC cardiologist? I would get a second opinion from another pediatric cardiologist. PACs are found in the upper chamber of the heart and aren't really life threatening unless there is an underlying form of heart disease, which you don't mention. PVCs also can be non-important if there is no underlying heart disease. Even 3-4 in a row isn't that big of an issue. I would certainly ask this doctor why he feels she is in danger.
Avatar f tn so I am still a newbie in LIMBOLAND. I was diagnosied with MS in October, only to have it taken away by my MS Specialist in December. She believes that I have ADEM. Anyways, I have been having pulsating buzzing in my foot for the past several days. The pulsing does not correlate with my pulse. My question is: is it usual to have the buzzing/vibrating in the same location for several days? Is this typical of MS?
