has anyone suffered from green or brown vomiting. I had ovarian cancer which recurred and i was receiving chemo and then developed a partial small intestine blockage. went to hospital , no food then sent home brought back to hospital for surgery. After surgery developed a fistula which is being treated. Now at home, started to vomit green or brown bile. doctor took exray and it showed no obsttrution; only fluid in intestine. .explained may have a slow working bowel.
My last period started 3 weeks and 4 days ago. I have had some weird symptoms like i have been having really weird hot flashes, some mornings i am nauseas but no vomiting, this may be a little to much TMI but my stool has been oddly green ever since the hot flashes as well. My petiods are irregular so i dont know when to take a test but ive never experienced anything like this before please help if you can!! Thanks!
I was so focused on the green substance that I missed the part about frequent vomiting for years. I had frequent vomiting for 3 years. Had surgery to repair hiatal hernia and a fundoplication but was still having dry heaves. Was finally treated for small bowel bacterial overgrowth-2rounds of expensive antibiotics but finally felt much better. I still have occasional nausea but never like before. Hope you get some help soon.
Before that happens vomiting of bile juice (green-yellow coloured vomit) is a symptom. It happened to me after a total colectomy operation over five years ago and I was kept in hospital (with a nasal gastric tube to suck out the stomach contents) until the symptoms had passed and until I could hold down food normally.
So I.ve started vomiting I'm currently 6wks (: how can I keep my food down. I threw up 3 times today.& I feel so dizzy& dehydrated.
you might advise her to get her gallbladder checked out. Vomiting bile (can be yellow colored or green) is sometimes not a cause for concern, as if her stomach was empty when she threw up....this would be the reason for bile to come up. Like I said, if all is fine now...no more issues, Id say she is ok....but if it starts happeneing on a normal occasion, might check it out to be safe.
Green vomit could mean she is vomiting bile. Bile is a green substance that is excreted by the liver into the gall bladder then into our intestines to help with digestion. She could have had a gall bladder attack. Is the back pain located by her right shoulder or in-between her shoulder blades? That is a sign of a gall bladder or liver problem. Gall bladder attacks tend to wake people in the middle of the night. She could have passed a gall stone.
she went to her doctor (not er) and they gave her a shot to stop her from vomiting (worked for a while, maybe 3 hours) and they ran blood tests and saw her WBC is at 17, max it 10. when she got home from the doctor she started vomiting dark green bile. 3 times now within a hours. I had my gall bladder removed a few years ago and began having similar stomach aches at that time but no vomiting. He is vomiting up yellowish/green sputum only - never any food. He has also suffered from diarreah as well. I cant eat or drink anything. Not even water. Even the thought of it makes me sick. I can be in the middle of eating and all of the sudden, I can't eat it anymore and if I try I can't even chew it up. Just the thought of chewing and swallowing makes me very nauseous. And I am throwing up and gaging even when I'm not eating too. But the symptoms seem to come and go. Because of the not eating enough, I have diarrhea that's green.
I was so sick this past week that I could not eat or drink for 4 days Sunday and Monday I spent my day at the ER for uncontrolled nausea and vomiting. They ran every kind of test possible and found nothing. I have a green discharge with no Zofran for nausea and vomiting but if I try to stop taking it I become very sick again. My preg test is still positive but the ER Doctors both told me to have an ultrasound done asap to make sure things r in place, What does that mean?
next day would be normal , then other day would be loose stools, like alternative days. other than that i had no symptoms like abdominal pain, vomiting, nausea . since i ignored this , i had one week of constipation eventhough it was a loose stool , i have to push hard for this. and i saw fresh blood in my stool for three days, but again i had no symptoms other than this.
But about 2 weeks ago i started getting a scratchy throat, it doesnt hurt when i swallow, i dont have a fever, and its on and off, typically worse at night, and in the mornings. I also cough up green phlegm, which in my understanding is a infection of some kind. Well this morning while driving to work, i got a bad cough, and vomiting. Thosr are the only symptoms, its better now, but i know it will pick up again soon. I need to know what it may be, some insight would help.

Since its two weeks post surgery, it's unlikely that vomiting is related to anesthesia. The green colored vomit could be due to stasis of bile. It could be due to gallbladder disease or pancreatitis. Other possible causes of include bowel obstruction, inflammation of the stomach and small intestines from an unrelated source as well as an unrelated intestinal infection.
Eat watermelon and green grapes maybe pineapple but make sure your drinking water since your throwing up a lot
I bring up clear gastric juices and finally a large amount (over a pint!) of green bileous liquid - after which I start to recover. I have no bowel movements until the next day, when I get diarrhoea. My stomach is painful for several days because of the heaving and it takes a week to fully recover. At first I thought it was food poisoning but last time it happened I ate only my own food -except for one danish pastry eaten 2 days earlier. Please help!
My cat has been throwing up rather frequently as of late. She's never been one to do so [except the occasional hairball. But we're talking once a year for that] It's often almost a lime green colour and has the consistency of pudding; Maybe not quite as thick but very close.
