Since its two weeks post surgery, it's unlikely that vomiting is related to anesthesia. The green colored vomit could be due to stasis of bile. It could be due to gallbladder disease or pancreatitis. Other possible causes of include bowel obstruction, inflammation of the stomach and small intestines from an unrelated source as well as an unrelated intestinal infection.
has anyone suffered from green or brown vomiting. I had ovarian cancer which recurred and i was receiving chemo and then developed a partial small intestine blockage. went to hospital , no food then sent home brought back to hospital for surgery. After surgery developed a fistula which is being treated. Now at home, started to vomit green or brown bile. doctor took exray and it showed no obsttrution; only fluid in intestine. .explained may have a slow working bowel.
t eat any food and keeps getting sick up some sort of green boile. This has been going on for the past 2 days and he will not eat any food and has no energy.
Is there anything I can do to help him ?
I was so sick this past week that I could not eat or drink for 4 days Sunday and Monday I spent my day at the ER for uncontrolled nausea and vomiting. They ran every kind of test possible and found nothing. I have a green discharge with no Zofran for nausea and vomiting but if I try to stop taking it I become very sick again. My preg test is still positive but the ER Doctors both told me to have an ultrasound done asap to make sure things r in place, What does that mean?
His stool went from watery to stringy and bright green, now it is bright green mixed with dark brown (looks like coffee grounds) and is still stringy. He vomited 3 times today and wont eat, and barely drinks. I am running out of things to think of. I don't know what else to do. It is 5:42pm here and I have changed him 6 times today already. you might advise her to get her gallbladder checked out. Vomiting bile (can be yellow colored or green) is sometimes not a cause for concern, as if her stomach was empty when she threw up....this would be the reason for bile to come up. Like I said, if all is fine now...no more issues, Id say she is ok....but if it starts happeneing on a normal occasion, might check it out to be safe.
He is vomiting up yellowish/green sputum only - never any food. He has also suffered from diarreah as well. Chest and abdomen xrays have been done, stool and blood collected - everything so far has come back normal. We are in awe of the fact that we've now seen 5 different pediatric docs and gastroenterologists and none of them have been able to diagnose him! Hello the green in the stools is most likely from bile or something you have eaten or drank-like green kool-aid or green jello etc. The burning is because your electrolytes are off in your body and with diarrhea you get what is called Metabolic Acidosis. The acid is what causes the burning. It sounds like you have gotten a virus of some sort and it should subside in 24-48 hours. Your stool should return to normal consistency and color after that time too.
Green vomit could mean she is vomiting bile. Bile is a green substance that is excreted by the liver into the gall bladder then into our intestines to help with digestion. She could have had a gall bladder attack. Is the back pain located by her right shoulder or in-between her shoulder blades? That is a sign of a gall bladder or liver problem. I had a week of back pain, severe abdominal pain and vomiting on 2 occasions.I have not had a fever. The cat food may have upset his stomach. I would not worry about him not eating for a day but he does need fluids.
It is not unusual for dogs to vomit on occasion, however, it is not something to be ignored.
Has he been eating grass or plants? Some plants are poisonous.
Any chance he could have ingested anti-freeze? These scenarios would be considered a medical emergency and should warrant a trip to the Vet immediately.
ive been drinking of antibiotics for 8 days. before i feel im vomiting and there is discharge from my penis and there is no pain. after 8 days of antibiotics the vomiting is gone but the discharge is still in there, it is like only water its not like a typical kind of discharge which is green color or yellow color. its only water. what do you think i will do? what is it in me?
I was so focused on the green substance that I missed the part about frequent vomiting for years. I had frequent vomiting for 3 years. Had surgery to repair hiatal hernia and a fundoplication but was still having dry heaves. Was finally treated for small bowel bacterial overgrowth-2rounds of expensive antibiotics but finally felt much better. I still have occasional nausea but never like before. Hope you get some help soon.
I could not keep anything down, and it hurt somewhere where my bladder is. I also had gotten green diahrea a little after throwing up too. Then I was constipated. And Saturday I was out with my boyfriend and his family and i took a shot of captain and I had a little bit of green runs again. And yesterday my area that was hurting by my bladder stopped hurting, but then when me and my boyfriend went to have sex, it was okay for a few seconds and then it felt like it was cramping again.
Eat watermelon and green grapes maybe pineapple but make sure your drinking water since your throwing up a lot
