My cat was coughing and breathing heavy. I took her to the Vet and after they took X-Ray I was told she has to be under medication for two weeks. I started her on Clavamox 15 ML but after couple of days I noticed she vomits after each intake. I was told by the Vet to give her Metochlopramide 5 MG first and wait 20 minutes before giving her Clavamox. She is not eating food and I am giving her Garbor baby food (chicken and rice) along with Clavamox. I noticed she still vomits after each intake.
How can I stop my cat from vomiting? She is taking Clavamox drops and was vomiting after each use. I spoke to her Vet and was told that I should give her Metochlopramide 5 MG first and wait for 20 minutes and then give her Clavamox. She is not eating and Vet suggested to give her baby food with the Clavomox. I am doing what I was told but my cat is still vomiting.
The vet put him on antiobiotics and recommended chicken and rice for diet. The cat has an appetite and was eating for about 4 days without any vomiting, and finally had a solid stool. Then all of a sudden he vomited over the weekend again and then on Monday he vomited in 4 different spots of the house. He has energy and a huge appetite. Can he be having these problems from overeating?
She stopped throwing up at probably around 10am this morning. I stayed up with her during the night, she had some difficulty breathing/it was louder than usual and occasionally she would sit there with her mouth slightly open (sometimes her tongue stuck out). Occasionally, her face/ears would twitch too.
I gave her a small portion of cat milk earlier as she wasn't keen on drinking water and she has had a few organic cat chicken biscuits and has kept it down so far.
They stop the food for 12 hrs and they gave her boiled chicken again she was fine for couple of days and after 4 days she start vomiting again we did another CBC and culture exam, the vet found that she had a bacterial infection (maybe after the vomiting according to the vet). They gave her Antibiotic for three days through the IV line she got better and start eating again.
My cat has recently began ripping her hair out in the last week. She is an indoors cat mostly, but she has slipped outside a few times, as well. We live in the country. In the last week, she has been ripping her hair out and now has large bald patches (some are bleeding and scabbing). Tonight she vomited her food on the kitchen floor. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I'm very concerned.
Do you know if the chicken was infested or something? Cats natural diet consists of raw meat, raw chicken, raw fish, you know, mice, rats, birds etc... and occasionally some plants like catnip to help with digestion. If the chicken is contaminated or infested with something I would worry.
Has he been vomiting----Losing 1 full pound in 2 weeks is very serious for a cat. Dehydration comes from vomiting and diarrhea and not eating. If he is not eating or drinking or voiding he may have a bowel obstruction.
Needless to say these are serious symptoms and I would suggest your vet re-tests him until he has a Definitive diagnosis and the the proper resolution to his condition.

My Cat Luna has been vomiting a little bit more than usual the past couple of days. She doesn't usually vomit more than once or twice every 2 or 3 weeks.
Last week, I went away and had my mom cat-sit for me. When I came back and brought the cat back to the house, she's been vomiting BEFORE i feed her. Which makes no sense.
Her food hasn't been changed. I feed her the Iams hairball care/weight control for indoor cats.
I have one cat that vomits everyday. When this first happened she was on dry food and the vomiting was so bad that she was losing a large amount of weight (starving to death). Took her in to the vet couldn't find anything wrong with her so they gave her some meds to take before she ate. I took the food and soaked in water to soften it up seemed to help for awhile.
I make my own cat food for one of my boys...sometimes I use chicken as a protien source b/c he loves his chicken!!! but I have a number of supplements I need to add as well b/c just the protien without the calcium/taurine/phosphorus (to name a few) will cause other health problems...remember when they are eating a mouse they are getting the bones/skin/blood/internal organs as well and not just the flesh....
which can cause liver damage and if your cat is diabetic it will cause ketoacidosis that goes from vomiting to coma an death. The thing is that your cat is healthy now, but they have tons of kidney problems when they get old...and a diet that's stressing the kidneys or liver since they're small can increase the chances of kidney and livet failure a lot.

my beagle mix got out of his crate today and ate a large portion of dog and cat food. he is really bloated and tired is there any concern?
i have a 12 yr cat about 3 weeks ago he quit eatting and everything he did eat he puked up and he lost alot of weight, i took him to the vet and they ran every test on him, they cleaned his teeth and pulled 3 premolars and put him on metacam for pain and metoclopramide for the puking, he ate for about 3 days and quit eatting again i took him back he ran a thyroid test saying his was at 3.
