Common Questions and Answers about Vomiting blood urine symptoms

vomiting

Avatar m tn So no incident of blood in urine but did find cat vomited blood last night. He is an indoor cat, his behavior seems to be normal. The blood was mixed with a hairball at 1st but other spots of vomit was just blood. Very fresh when it was found and very red. He is being watched to see if it happens again and from reading I have done she should see a Vet even if it doesn't happen again correct? Also do you know what this might be?
Avatar f tn Her blood work, off the charts in some areas, has normalised but her urine showed high protein and she has high blood pressure; she is taking enalapril for both of these. She is on Hills KD and has shown improvement in weight gain, appetite, zest for life, her coat looks fantastic. But I can't seem to control her vomiting for more than a few days. I'm fearing she is in end stage kidney disease given some of her other symptoms (shaking/twitching, ammonia breath).
5710313 tn?1372829381 My fiance has been in and outta the ER 6 times in the past 2 months. No one knows what's wrong with him. He has savear nausea, throws up whats seems like gallons of clear puke full of bile and blood for hours, extreme hot and cold flashes, his body shakes for hours, back and neck pains, extremely low potassium, and an irregular heart beat. He goes in to the ER, gets stabilized and discharged and has to be rushed back 2 days later as soon as he eats solid foods.
Avatar f tn The thing is I tried the whole brat diet( and it didnt work) went back in 3 days later- still no changes, more meds again, and then they decided that again they would due another urine test. Again blood in the urine. *just trace amounts. So I came home a few days after that,Seen my doctor and did a urine test, and again trace amounts of blood in the urine.
Avatar n tn You may need to take some tests like stool and urine examination. Please watch your urine color. A urine examination will detect any loss of blood however microscopic. In case there is blood loss, it will need to be looked into. Generalized infection can at times cause blood in urine. It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining and tests to confirm it. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted.
Avatar n tn The only other symptom he has if that he is hurting on his right lower side. He has had no fever. The doctor checked his blood and urine this morning and said it all looks fine. Of course they won't keep him at school when he is vomiting. What could possibly be wrong that needs to be checked that the Dr. is missing? This is beginning to concern me and he is really missing a lot of school.
Avatar n tn The vomiting only occurs every few days but the other symptoms are daily. He dispalys a few other symptoms but these are the most extreme.
Avatar f tn I've seen urologist..
172023 tn?1334672284 re pretty stumped b/c of the appearance of his urine. No blood at all in it. It is highly, highly dilute, even when his water intake is restricted. Plus, the vomiting shouldn't be going on. The vet is a bit mystified by it. All his chemistries (he had an extensive panel) came back completely normal yesterday. CBC only showed an elevated WBC. Culture is pending so he's on Clavamox starting today. Why would his urine be so dilute?
Avatar m tn Your persisting symptoms nausea and vomiting could indicate a viral gastroenteritis. The other causes could be jaundice if there is yellowish discoloration of skin, food poisoning if the symptoms occurred shortly after taking food, peptic ulcer disease and sometimes cholecystitis and pancreatitis. Hope a urine analysis did not reveal an infection, as urinary tract infection can cause these symptoms. Discuss these options with your consulting doctor. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn I went in at 35 weeks and 4 days and my blood pressure was high and they gave me meds and did a 24 hour urine test but during the night, even on the meds my blood pressure got to 180/110 and they c sectioned my baby that day.
Avatar m tn Give your vet a call for advice. I applaud you for rescuing your little guy, but if you can't afford medical care for him, you'll need to try to find him another home. I hate saying that, but providing care is a necessary responsibility of pet ownership. Here is some info I found on another site: What to Watch For Gastrointestinal symptoms include nausea, loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, melena (black, tarry stools), abdominal pain and ulceration of the stomach.
1105389 tn?1258003525 my girlfriend has just passed the first trimester and has been vomiting some blood on 5 ocations what does this mean?
Avatar n tn Hello all. I find the insight shared on this site to be both informative and valuable - so, thanks in advance. I had mild symptoms 1 1/2 to 2 weeks after possible exposure -- went to doctor at 2 1/2 weeks after possible exposure. (this was 6 weeks ago) Found a trace of bilirubin in my urine - took blood. Blood came back negative for Hep A,B,C and "normal" liver and kidney function. He mentioned staying away from tylenol for a while.
Avatar m tn It is not an everyday occurance and I have no other associated symptoms. The urine is of normal color. The cloudiness is only there the first time I urinate after eating these foods and becomes clear after the first. I had a full blood workup for the meds 3 weeks ago and everything was normal. I get blood work every 3 months because I also take Zocor. My physician knows about this and does not seem concerned because the clodiness clears up by itself.
Avatar n tn Here's some info I found on Rimadyl toxicity. Since your dog threw up so quickly, I would say he'll probably be OK. ******************************* Rimadyl® toxicity generally occurs as the result of one of the following: Accidental ingestion of excessive quantities of the drug Administration of the incorrect dose of medication by the owner (overdose) Idiosyncratic reaction – the pet is unusually susceptible to the side effects of the drug and the reaction is unrelated to dose.
Avatar n tn --- dark urine sign of jaundice -- poss symptomatic back pain -- possible enlarged head of pancreas -- terrible history of colon cancer in her family, which I understand can be a genetic cousin to pancreatic genetic proclivity -- one episode of vomiting a few weeks back Signs that are encouraging: -- pain was not in the center of abdomen and back -- no yellowing or signs of jaundice besides dark urine -- no bilirem (sp) in blood test -- no tumor/mass noted in ultra sound -- no ultras
Avatar f tn s because the doctor wants to test for them.
Avatar m tn I felt pain in my vagina when passing urine and drops of blood came out after the urine. My gynecologist gave me antibiotics to treat the infection. If your wife feels the same, better take her to the doctor immediately.
Avatar m tn There was a lady who had this disease called porphyria, and almost all of the symptoms she had my wife is currently having. She has severe abdominal pain, night sweats, twitching at night, nausea, vomiting, panic attacks (no history of), chest pain, problems breathing, severe anemia, shes taking birth control for the anemia, nexium for the abdominal pain along with hydrocodone. No purple urine, though i have not put it in the sun. This has been going on for about 6 months now.
2196020 tn?1348441383 I am 33 weeks pregnant and its like morning sickness is back. Everytime I wake up I have to throw up. I have been getting really bad headaches and my vision has blurred a few times. Now I've done my research and I know thar these are all signs of pre eclampsia but 3 weeks ago my doctor did a 24 hour urine because there was protein there but it came back okay. Then I had no other symptoms now I have all these. I'm not sure what to do.
Avatar f tn Kidney-stones often cause a tolerable pain. They're not always excruciating, as I'm sure you've heard they are. I get kidney-stones chronically, and from time to time, a get one that causes intermittent (colicky) pain that's quite bearable. And another thing, not all kidney-stones cause hematuria (blood in the urine).
Avatar n tn Check for a possible urinary tract infection. Do a urine culture and if the fever persists, perhaps you should do a blood test as well. My mom had a UTI and the only symptom she had was high fever... she had a blood test and the results showed an increased number of white blood cells that indicated an infection... she also had a urine analysis and a urine culture and it confirmed that it was a UTI.
