Vomiting blood is never good. Pregnant or not. I'd call your doctor or go to the ER if I were you.
Hello I'm 2 months and a half and been vomiting none stop recently I've noticed blood in my vomit I'm very concerned but I don't see my doctor till the 9th. Any suggestions?
While pregnant you can never be too safe. Bright blood normally means you could of hurt your throat or something from throwing up and dark blood is a sign of internal bleeding or you might have something like a sinus infection that's gotten really bad. In all cases.. Blood in vomit is not good and you best be safe then sorry. I'm not a doctor by any means and it's possible it will be just from puking too much but you'd rather be told your OK go home..
How much blood? If you are vomiting red blood you could have a bleeding ulcer and that is an emergency. I have had a tiny amount before and it was due to irritation in my throat. You should at least make an appointment with your physician. If you vomit red blood, become dizzy or faint or have black sticky stools you should go to the emergency room.
You can break capillaries in your throat from excessive vomiting but if the doctor says there's no blood in your vomit then it's just your imagination maybe you ate or drank something red

I was so thankful to come upon this issue while on google! I have always, well since I was about 16, seemed to spit up blood after vomiting. I was just wondering if anyone has the reason this occurs after the 3 years since this question was first asked? When I vomit I do strain alot and dry-heave. I do not actually throw the blood up but the blood always occurs after vomiting...while I spit. If anyone can tell me why this happens it would be so great.
s very possible he ruptures tiny blood vessels probably in his throat with the retching. But a refusal to eat for hours afterwards shows he must feel some nausea or pain. The best plan I think is to take him to a vet, and schedule a gastroscopy (where they put a camera down his throat to take a look at esophagus and stomach etc.) Of course he'll be asleep while they do this.
At least, if this is done, and nothing is wrong, then you will be able to approach his problem from a different angle.
Sounds like broken blood vessels in your throat from being sick. But if you're really concern and there is a lot, I'd call you dr.

Last week it seems to be getting worst as i find myself coughing for no reason, pain in my throat, vomiting and shortness of breath some times with a bout of hot flash.. I now have to travel with a bottle of water. Everything does not subside until i clear my throat fully of mucus. During this time, i cannot speak until i clear my throat. Tonight while cooking, the smell of garlic mixed with curry overwhelmed me and i started coughing to the point of almost vomiting and shortness of breath.
Sounds like blood from an ulcer, but there is no way to tell on an internet forum. See a doctor. Whether you're an alcoholic or not, drinking to excess becomes more dangerous as we get older. You're not old, but you're not a kid anymore either. Can you drink in smaller quantities and stick with beer & wine? If you're drinking to the stage of blackouts or passing out, then you may have more of a problem than you believe.
Have you been vomiting a lot with this baby? I've had blood in my vomit and few times now but its cos the lining of my throat is all stuffed from vomiting day and night since 6weeks.
If you're vomiting up blood on any occasion, run not walk to your doctor or nearest health clinic. This may be an emergency! (or at least a sign of cancer)

t notice any discomfort or weird sensations. What was the funny throat sensation you had? My throat did have some discomfort that evening I went to the ER, was burny/scratchy due to the acid when vomiting. Even prior to this, I remember as a kid and growing up, when I would throw up, my throat would bother me afterwards in the same way. I saw my doctor today and he just sent me home. Assumed this was a 24 hour bug of some sorts.
