Avatar f tn Townie, I pray for you to be delivered from alcohol. Turn to Jesus and let him take this addiction away from you. Ask a pastor, or priest or someone you can get in touch with and believes to pray for you in person. Dont be afraid, God loves you. He created you in His image. He wants to restore you to health and give you life here and now.
Avatar f tn ve been vomiting everyday after drinking and have been vomiting acid. Last night was the worst. I woke up st 4am violently vomiting acid my throat and nose still hurts today. I did vomit what looked like blood, it also burned very basket when it came up.. also went through my nose. I took zofran an anti nausea pill to calm it down. I'm belching a lot which also burns. Clearly this must be from excessive drinking but I'm not sure what's wrong.
Avatar n tn Hi alcohol can cause low blood sugar levels for some due to its effect on the liver. But even more it can cause those person with diabetes to pay less attention to their health and blood sugars. This does not mean you can never drink alcohol, But it should be taken in moderation only. When you do have a first drink (remember moderation) do it in the company of a trusted friend so you can safely see the effect it has on you.
Avatar n tn Could be you have an ulcer or gastroenteritis and have caused irritation. This resulting in vomiting blood. However, it could have been the strain of vomiting too. I agree with CalGal that you should seek medical attention as it's best to be safe. Hope I helped to some point......

Avatar m tn If you have enteritis (food poisoning. From eating contaminated foods and water as well as from alcohol poisoning. If you have infections from ears, throat, migraines, kidney and, gall bladder problems that too can cause persistent vomitting until treated. Another reason is self induced.
962492 tn?1247454619 Smoking, alcohol use, gastritis, acidity, tumors of stomach and food pipe, bleeding gastric ulcer, cancer of stomach, erosion of lining of food pipe, bleeding veins at esophageal (food pipe) sphincters etc all cause vomiting of blood. This can be fresh red if coming from a place above the stomach. It can be brown or coffee colored if coming from the stomach.
487031 tn?1208808714 your husband is killing himself with the alcohol. most likely his internal organs are enlarged or fatty. if he starts puking blood then he has a GI bleed, and needs to get to the ER immediately. he probably needs to go to the ER anyway so they can send him to a detox unit for a few days. then AA is good. but only if he wants to stop drinking. you may want to suggest AA to him, but don't pressure him.
Avatar n tn Hi, You are suffering from alcohol intolerance. Alcohol can cause a variety of immediate adverse effects on the body, including headache, rapid heartbeat, nausea or vomiting, heartburn, abdominal pain, nasal congestion, or warm, red, itchy skin. Many people of Asian descent experience an unusual flushing reaction after drinking alcohol — even in very small amounts. This is caused by a genetic disorder in which the body is unable to break down alcohol completely.
Avatar f tn The only time vomiting is an issue for me is when I am drinking alcohol. If there is something that is contributing to your vomiting you may want to consider avoiding it. Alcohol itself can have an affect on the heart, It dehydrates us, so not a bad idea to give it up for that reason too. Unfortunately there is no cure of afib except ablation. In any event, because alcohol tends to make me sick I keep it to 2 drinks when I have it.
Avatar n tn I would stop shoving your fingers down your throat. Hopefully the blood is just from that or as you said a popped blood vessel.
Avatar m tn after i smoked the hash oil, i started feeling extremely dizzy, nauseated, heavy breathing, and vomiting what im pretty sure was blood. at first i vomited normal yellowish collored vomit, then i began wretching hard, and eventually it was just saliva and blood, or at least thats what it looked like. i really thought i was going to die, and i have no idea why i didnt find a way to get to the hospital immediately. i left the room so none of my friends know about me vomiting blood.
Avatar n tn October 6th (8 days) may be too long to wait this out safely and I urge you to try to get medical attention sooner. Clearly you've injured your throat and it's been bleeding fairly aggressively. If you feel faint from blood loss, then I think it's probably ambulance (or at least taxi) time for an ER visit. I suppose gargling with warm saltwater does not appear to address the problem (ease the soreness)? Can you manage swallowing liquids readily enough?
Avatar f tn It is also cardio-toxic and causes damage to the throat and stomach lining especially when you are doing shots or swallowing anything in its straight-up form. Vomiting makes that worse because now as the alcohol passes the throat again it is mixed with powerful acids from the stomach. Not good on many levels as you can see. Tying-on a good one several days in a row will cause 'the shakes' as your body tries to normalize itself.
Avatar m tn s job is to manage blood flow to the gut. Vomiting, bearing down to have a bowel movement, or conditions that drop blood pressure amplify the effects of the vagus nerve and redirects much blood to the gut which may lead to fainting. Dehydration, psychological triggers such as anxiety, panic disorder and stress, shock, drugs or alcohol, and heart arrythmia are other likely causes. It would be best to have a further evaluation done by your mother's doctor to rule out other causes.
Avatar m tn Everything came back ok, but i still suffer from the morning vomiting. He says its just acid reflux, but why wont the prilosec work? It can completely go away by lunch or it can continue for the entire day until i can finally keep something down. Sometimes its happens the night after of drinking, but not always so i think it is something else. maybe allergic to some type of food? Please any advise is welcomed and so appreciated. Im way too young to be dealing with this crap.
Avatar f tn Over the last 4 weeks, I have suffered from nausea and vomiting. This is not daily, but I have vomitted every 6-7 days over this past month. I have no alcohol clonsumption, eating habits and appetite have not changed from my regular (except of course on the days when vomitting is present), and I find that I am totally exhausted after these bouts. I have no fever, and only slight discomfort. I frequently have very loose stools when the vomitting is present.
