Avatar n tn My child was wetting the bed, extremely thirsty all the time and was vomiting; his vomiting, we think, was contributed to a stomach virus he had at the time. We took him to the ER due to dehydration -they did a blood chemistry and his blood sugar was 399-they immediately admitted him to ICU and he was put on IV insulin. He's been a diabetic now for 3 years-he's now 9. He's has handled it amazingly well!

I usually vomit every 20 to 30 mins and then drag myself back to bed and pass out again. Last time i had one of these attacks i vomited 29 times. How much water do you drink? I drink a little more than two litres a day (I think that's about half a gallon in american measurements). If I don't get enough water, I get dizzy and have a headache, so that could be part of it for you. The nausea could be a reaction to the headache, or any kind of smell...
Avatar m tn Our son had what seem like a normal virus with fever, vomiting and headache. All symptoms went away except the headache, which has persisted for a month to the point of excruciating pain 3-4 times a day. He had MRI, CT, lumbar puncture, blood work, etc. All came back normal except positive test for mycoplasma. The first hospital did his lumbar puncture incorrectly causing severe vomiting and spinal headache. That plus all the pain meds (toradol, morphine, atovan, etc.

Avatar f tn Dear Divya, We really need to wait for the MRI reports.Hypertension with High BP and yellow colour of the vomiting may sound alarming. I really would like to provide more inputs after you tell about the MRI results. If it's an infection which is causing weakness due to vomiting, then we will not need to worry too much. However if some growth is noticed, then the management will change. So tell your husband to eat light food (plain rice with salt and butter will help).

Avatar f tn For example if the rest of the family eats salads, vegetables, and fruit and he see it every day, eventually he may try some. There is hope in the future. Mealtimes can be a battlefield when children do not have an interest to eating healthy or eat very little. It becomes the battle of the wits between the child and the parents. Slowly introduce new foods, and if he does not want it, do not make a fuss over it. Let it go and enjoy your meal. Try again in a few months.
