Yesterday, after the diarrhea subsided for about a day, I began vomiting once every hour or so, and the diarrhea has resumed. Cultures were ran for the stool and they came back negative. At first, the vomiting had food in it, but after the first, all subsequent releases were a dark green liquid. All vomit produced since the first yields several ounces of this liquid (bile perhaps). What should I do?
has anyone suffered from green or brown vomiting. I had ovarian cancer which recurred and i was receiving chemo and then developed a partial small intestine blockage. went to hospital , no food then sent home brought back to hospital for surgery. After surgery developed a fistula which is being treated. Now at home, started to vomit green or brown bile. doctor took exray and it showed no obsttrution; only fluid in intestine. .explained may have a slow working bowel.
Hi i am 33 weeks and 4 days pregnant and i thought i may have caught a bug last week 6 days ago (i woke up with horrible diarrhea and continuous vomiting). The trouble is; i a, still having sympoms. The dr called in a prescription for nausea the good news is i am not vomiting but the pain in my abdomen seems to be getting worse. It feels like i have a lot of pressure in my upper abdomen like someone is sitting on me and i cant tell if its the baby or my stomach is swollen.
The diarrhea also continued the next day as well. After he started the diarrhea the vomiting seemed to subside which is typical of the previous episodes.
The vomiting followed by diarrhea seems to be a pattern. He is also a picky eater and looking back he seems not to poop very much for a couple of days preceding the vomiting episodes. Visits to our doctor and blood/stool tests have not indicated anything unusual.
His stool went from watery to stringy and bright green, now it is bright green mixed with dark brown (looks like coffee grounds) and is still stringy. He vomited 3 times today and wont eat, and barely drinks. I am running out of things to think of. I don't know what else to do. It is 5:42pm here and I have changed him 6 times today already. Please tell me what you think, and what should I do.

I am a 24 y/o female on vacation in Germany. I do have a history of drinking (probably in excess, if we're speaking candidly.) A month ago I had my yearly full bloodwork panel run and the basic liver panel (plus everything else except b12 -- I'm deficient) came back normal. Starting a week ago, I've been drinking very excessively on vacation, including one night where I drank probably 12 beers in four hours. I woke up the next day hungover but altogether fine.
I woke up about six more times through the night with very liquid and acidic diarrhea, but no more vomiting. The next day I felt weak, but slowly recovered through the day. I had quite a bit of gas, mostly very foul smelling flatulence, but no diarrhea or vomiting. The following day I felt better and ate normal again. I passed stool twice, both times it was soft and very green in color. That night I went through the same series of events, only without vomiting.
My 2 year old has been off and on vomiting and diarrhea for 3weeks now. I took him to his pediatrician and he said that there was nothing we could do but wash our hands.. My son seems normal most of the day, he plays and is generaly happy. He vomits almost every other night. Only at night. The diarrhea has been mostly constant green and very watery, sometimes its an orange and thick diarrhea. Im at a loss as to what to do.
I'm 19 years old. Today I noticed my poop was a yellowish-green color. The stool was soft and came out quickly, but it wasn't diarrhea.
The past few days, it seems like I have been having to have a bowel movement twice a day, as opposed to the normal once a day for me.
I don't recall eating anything that was dyed green or blue recently.
I am paranoid that it could be a parasite or something. I went canoeing on Sunday and there was a spot where we could do the rope swing.
Also, re-hydrate after vomiting and diarrhea, by drinking water, orange juice, and Gatorade plus you can eat bananas to replenish your electrolytes. You also may have lost all the good bacteria in your intestinal tract, so eating some yogurt enriched with probiotics would replenish these. I think you'll be fine, just stay away from alcohol as much as possible, it doesn't seem to be agreeing with you. Take care!
I just did a little research for you as I went thru this not too long ago. Antacids can change color but its typically gray colored. But since they are green, than maybe?! Green typically comes from added iron, passing thru quickly to where it doesn't have time to change brown, leafy greens and green or purple artificial coloring. If you have vomiting, diarrhea or cramping- call doc right away. Hope that helps.
I'm 9 weeks pregnant and I've already been Diagnosed with hyper emesis gravadium and the put me on some anti nausea medicine the first one didn't work at all this second one works a little bit but I'm still not keeping much down and now I'm having diarrhea and I'm still very light headed what should i do
Several years ago I had the same problem but everything went aways once my gallbladder was removed. The episodes of vomiting and diarrhea last anywhere from hours to 2 days. I have recorded what I am eating to see if it is a food allergy but only thing i have found in the past week is butter makes me sick but not other dairy products. I went to a chiroprator that gave me a questionare about health sympotms and he recommeded me having my thyroid checked.
I just got a packet from the doc. Kind of a what to expect type thing and flu like symptoms like vomiting and diarrhea are common when you're getting close. Good luck!

Bile is usually green or yellow, in our dogs experiences. If it was white and foamy, it could be frothy mucus...hard to really say.
If it was a one time thing, just watch him carefully for other signs of distress such as abnormal panting, unusual behaviors such as rolling repeatedly or getting into the "praying" position often, diarrhea, not eating, or if he seems to be biting or bothering at his flanks, or tummy bloating.
t even chew it up. Just the thought of chewing and swallowing makes me very nauseous. And I am throwing up and gaging even when I'm not eating too. But the symptoms seem to come and go. Because of the not eating enough, I have diarrhea that's green. I know that means I have too much bile in my intestines. I can think of something that sounds really good and when I try to put it in my mouth, its as if my body is rejecting it. I don't know what's wrong.
Diarrhea, threw up once , stopped eating and went right to fluids, muscle aches and chills. Yesterday no vomiting, chills or muscle aches just diarrhea and a really awful headache. Diarrhea had slowed a little but still had to take a first dose of Imodium. Today was still watery stool so I took a second dose. Feeling better other wise but my stool has gone from light brown at the beginning of this ordeal to very dark greenish brown like a shade darker than pine or dark olive green.

Then a few days later, before I went to bed one night I started having this awful burning in my esophagus and felt like I was going to throw up. Hi, I'm approx 8 weeks along. I have been vomiting for 24hrs and have had diarrhea too. I haven't been able to eat anything for around 36hrs without bringing it straight back up (I tried plain crackers and dry toast). Even sipping water has me vomiting within 15/20mins of doing so. Question is, should I go see a Dr or maybe there is something I can get from a chemist that can help? Or is this normal and I just need to ride it out? Getting concerned as I feel quite dehydrated...
