vomiting

Avatar f tn t eat that since he probably associates it with not feeling well so he gets what he will eat (he lost weight so we want him to eat) which again is cooked for him- chicken liver and kibbles in the morning (organic) and rice and pot roast in the evening. He is eating fine right now and has put back 2 of the pounds he lost.
Avatar n tn We have only one in the middle of the yard. We are in winter here in Tx. and it is now empty of leaves. So any bugs that would be present are probably gone. There are some small ones that survive even harsh winter. From her reactions it doesn't bother her, but it does look odd and is not natural.
Avatar m tn Signs of this are - -undigested food being thrown up more than an hour after eating -lack of appetite (if the stomach is slow in emptying then your pup is always full) -weight loss -constipation My best advice would be to feed smaller meals more often through the day and cut back on fats (fat is harder to digest) and feed a food that is higher in protein and lower in fats.
Avatar n tn My dog tukar is almost 2 and he is vomiting, has literally explosive diarrea , and is shivering which is what i think is trigering his vomiting. I dont know if i can give him some kind of fever reducer or something i dont know what it could be. he just recently got his rabies updated like 2 or 3 weeks ago. if there any way i can do anything at home before i take him to the vet would be great.
Avatar m tn It is not that uncommon for dogs to vomit yellow bile, which is usually a sign of an upset or empty stomach. Dogs will often graze on grass then throw up to help relieve an upset stomach. This can often be remedied by feeding smaller meals more frequently but not more food. Have you changed foods recently? This could be something more serious, of course. Any chance your dog may have ingested something in the house or outside?
Avatar f tn It clears the system in 8 - 10 hours and my dogs are generally over the vomiting and ready to eat at that point. Give it a try - talk to your vet.
Avatar n tn Previcox For Dogs Review By James on November 17th, 2010 Previcox is an anti-inflammatory pain reliever that also reduces fever in dogs. This prescription medication is given to dogs that have just received surgery, have arthritis, or for other complications as prescribed by your vet. You shouldn’t give Previcox to your dog if it is allergic to aspirin or is taking other NSAID pain relievers. Your vet can determine if your dog is allergic to aspirin with a simple test if you are unsure.
Avatar n tn My 20 month old grandson has had vomiting for almost a week. He has had a history of reflux, but this past week he has had some projectile vomiting, no fever, and just can't keep anything down. What should we do? No fever, his pedi thinks it's a virus and lasts 7 to 10 days.
Avatar f tn My year and a half yr old poodle had a bout of diarrhea and vomiting yesterday. I rushed her to the emergency vetvand had blood testing done.this was last night. Right when I got home from the vet she was running around playong. Vet said it was nothing serious. But today without eating house food that upset her stomach she still had some diarrhea. Is this something to worry about or maybe some diarrhea still left over from last night? She is lively and running around.
Avatar n tn my 8 year old female boxer has been vomiting on and off for three weeks last night and this morning is the worst. What can i do? she drinking and eating.
Avatar m tn 30. I shoved dogs outside, put kids in car and went to movie. Came back and Zoe drank tons of water, layed down on floor and was soaking wet with drool, eyes were watery and her left side of body was shakey. I rushed her to Emergency Pet hospital, they gave her charcoal, IV Fluid, and tested her liver, kidney and ekg for heart. ALL NORMAL, no fever. NO Vomiting, NO Abnormal bowls.
1139082 tn?1278162422 Usually with Lyme disease they seem to be tired and sometimes there joints are swollen and painful when touched .They can run a fever and be weak and not want to eat and have weight loss.To treat Lyme disease antibiotics are given for several weeks. There is also a vaccination for it.
Avatar f tn Are her vaccinations up to date? Vomiting and diarrhea are indicative of parvo in puppies, so if her vaccinations are not up to date, this could even be life threatening. You need to find a way to take her to the vet. She is in trouble at this point because the vomiting and diarrhea have probably already dehydrated her. Please let us know what the vet says.

Avatar n tn Sometimes dogs will produce large amounts of acid if they go too long in between meals. While this is more common in bulldogs, it can happen in any breed. It sounds like this is what is happening with your lab. You can apply a quick fix to this by feeding him a biscuit or two very late at night. This should keep his hunger down and the acid in his stomach to a minimum until breakfast.
Avatar n tn I would take her to her physician as soon as you are able, it is certainly not healthy for her to keep coughing and vomiting. The coughing will hurt her insides if it is too strong and vomiting will prevent her from getting her much needed nutrients from food, etc. I really am not able to tell you what it is, it could be a number of things, and, as I said, it would be best if she saw a doctor. Please let me know the outcome, I know she must be miserable.
Avatar m tn So far in my experience, Deramax has been the best non-steroidal anti-inflammatory for pain in dogs - particularly for arthritis pain. Rimadyl is a close second and fairly cheap since it's been on the market for years. What kind of pain is your dog experiencing?
Avatar n tn My one year old dog has been being sick and has dirraera it had blood in it there is a vey bad smell u can smell it in her to she goes in the garden and hides and won't *** be in
Avatar f tn Onions are so toxic for dogs, and garlic is only one step removed, it is so very like onion in many ways. Some dogs seem to be able to handle these garlic supplements, and some don't, and it can cause vomiting if they don't. Even if she has been eating garlic laden food for years, she could have extra sensitivities, or less tolerance as she grows older. I'm not 100% sure garlic supplements are right for dogs.
Avatar m tn My 4 yrold pom got really excited today , was running back and forth, he started vomiting and was having trouble breathing. I'm sure he got too hot and I put him in front of fan and the a/c. It took him several hours to get over it. Now he will not eat and is drinking very little and doesn't want to move much. What should I do?
1688650 tn?1305719489 Yes the thing is with vomiting and diarrhea (in the absence of fever) to withhold all food for a day. But do make sure he drinks plenty, to prevent dehydration setting in. Dogs do get these tummy upsets from time to time, and very often it's a passing thing. But of course it's hard to be sure what causes their upset. Sometimes when the owner swears they have not given any unsuitable food to eat, the dog can occasionally have got hold of something which has upset them.
