Common Questions and Answers about Vomiting after eating

vomiting

Avatar n tn My 20 year old daughter has been vomiting after eating and has had numerous gastro tests done that all appear to be normal. She's also on depression meds (Cymbalta, Lithium and Seroquel), and I'm wondering if it could be Lithium toxicity (a buildup of lithium in the system) causing the vomiting ... hoping to get her to the doc tomorrow ... blood work might be required to confirm that.
Avatar n tn Try eating a slice of lemon or drink something sour after you eat.
Avatar n tn My cat usually throws up after eating and it appears that she isn't chewing her food. Sometimes it is liquidy but mostly moist unchewed food. It does not appear to be hairballs. What should I be looking for and what is a good remedy.

Avatar f tn My cat was coughing and breathing heavy. I took her to the Vet and after they took X-Ray I was told she has to be under medication for two weeks. I started her on Clavamox 15 ML but after couple of days I noticed she vomits after each intake. I was told by the Vet to give her Metochlopramide 5 MG first and wait 20 minutes before giving her Clavamox. She is not eating food and I am giving her Garbor baby food (chicken and rice) along with Clavamox. I noticed she still vomits after each intake.

Avatar m tn it Started once during the day and I was told it was just the flu. after that one day she began vommiting only at night after I put her to bed either right before she falls asleep or while she is still sleeping. But she doesnt cry or anything after and before she vomits she plays and acts fine and happy not sick at all. So Im not sure what t say when I take her to the doctor and say "she;s very sick" meanwhile shes running around laughing and playing what will the doctor say...
Avatar m tn Never lay him down on his back right after eating or ½ hour to 1 hour after feeding. Raise the head of his crib to a 45-degree angle too so he are not flat on his back. Feeding him5-6 times day does help. Avoid high fat foods (fatty, greasy, fried foods) because they stay in the stomach longer, and avoid spicy food, Chocolate, and Peppermint.
Avatar f tn How can I stop my cat from vomiting? She is taking Clavamox drops and was vomiting after each use. I spoke to her Vet and was told that I should give her Metochlopramide 5 MG first and wait for 20 minutes and then give her Clavamox. She is not eating and Vet suggested to give her baby food with the Clavomox. I am doing what I was told but my cat is still vomiting.

455214 tn?1225830064 Now, it has gotten to the point that everytime he eats he vomits. Used to be that he would vomit about 30 minutes after eating and now he can't finish a meal without vomiting. He has lost 40 pounds in the last 3 months without trying because of his vomiting. He's scared to eat somtimes. He also starts sweating and becomes very dizzy. He has had two colonoscopies and two endoscopies--all came back normal. We have no idea where to turn next. Gastroenterologists have no suggestions.
Avatar n tn He gets real tired after these vomiting spells. Usually they only happen aafter or while we are eating. It has caused us not to go out to eat because we know what is going to happen. After he gets it off his stomach he is fine.

Avatar n tn The vet told us to give him some peptobismol before we fed him and that made the vomiting worse. He doesn't have diarrea or anything like that just the vomiting. He hasn't slowed down any he's active in playing he eats well and drinks good. I am at a loss as to what is wrong. But i'm afraid something serious may be wrong.
Avatar n tn Hey everyone, I'm 5 weeks pregnant and are vomiting almost all day, I have tried crackers, 7~up, not drinking fluids before or after meals. I hardly want to eat and chewing mint gum isn't helping. Any suggestions?
Avatar m tn NO, he's NOT mentally ill! If you haven't already, you need to split his meals into small servings...Small dogs should be fed at least 2 meals a day......For tiny guys, sometimes 3 times a day is better......Hypoglycemia is a problems for tiny ones..... MAKE SURE you are feeding a High quality diet....Little dogs need PERFECT nutrition in every bite because they do not consume much.....It cannot be full of cheap fillers & grains & by products...These are a waste of vital nutrition......
Avatar f tn For the past week I've been having vomiting spells after I've ate. It's like my body's saying it doesn't belong here, throw it up. It has happened to me 3 times, with different food. The first time I smelled some soap and vomited. About 5 days later I eating a big mac, and when I was about to finish it, I had to fight not to vomit, seeing how I was driving. Then today it happened too, when I was putting my clothes n the washer. I fight the urge, hoping it isn't just in my head.
Avatar f tn My DS was given reflux meds at about two months. In addition to spitting, he was obviouly very uncomfortable. After eating his bottle he would cry and scream, sticking out his chest and flailing his body around until he would spit up a large amount. Then he would seem relieved for about half an hour when the whole process would repeat. He took meds for about a month and then we weaned him off it and he was fine.
Avatar n tn My daughter is two years old and she is vomiting once or twice a week. But she drinks a lot of milk, in the morning, before nap and at night. Other than that she is fine, no other symphoms. Can someone tell me if this is normal or I should check with the doctor. I did see her doctor 6 months ago and they didn't find anything wrong with her. Can this be an allergy? Thank you.
