So I've had hip pain for about 7 months. I went to her after months of voltaren, metsal, Celebrex etc and she says it's bursitis and that I'll need steroid injections. If it is muscle how come it only got worse the next day when I stretched? And the voltaren didn't help. Also when I'm working or doing physical activity it kinda becomes numb but the pain comes later on. In the cold it's a focused sharp pain rather than all over. Is this signs of bursitis?

This is an over the counter gel geared for sore muscles and aches. Someone at church has a similar injury as me and swears by this gel. This gel also has really good reviews on amazon.com too. I hope this helps with the muscle spasms I have since I can not take a muscle relaxer. It will get it through the mail on Wednsday next week. Anyone here use this?

I have been on methotrexate and celebrex for at least 15 years, probably long. I am currently in a tremendous amount of pain in my fingers, elbows, shoulders, left knee and left hip. Volteran gel has not helped at all and neither has Aleve. Can I take tramadol with these two drugs? I have recently switched my insurance and am waiting to get into a new rheumatologist.

I started taking Celebrex two months ago and have gained 18 lbs since. I am wondering if anyone has gained weight on Celebrex? I have a sprained lumbar, lumbago syndrome with back spasms. I can't take narcotic pain meds. Any alternative to Celebrex? Naproxen does nothing for my pain.

I have no idea about creams and what to avoid but if you're that worried it doesn't hurt to call your doctor and ask or go to the er and tell them what happened. If you're hurting anywhere I'd definitely go to er.

t you try some gel on a small area and see what happens? I always do that re. allergies. My dermo says the best place to try anything new is on the inside of your arm. Hope you feel much better very soon.

This drug is the same thing that is in the Voltaren gel that I've been prescribed for external use on my osteoarthritis of the thumbs. I also have cirrhosis and I did some research on the drug. s been 2 weeks and the muscle pain and intense headaches continue and neither has subsided in the least. Any idea what this could be? I'm 44 and in relatively good health but defintely had a very stressful time the last 2 weeks with quarter end at work.

He also had me putting 10 drops of pennsaid on my elbow 3x a day and lidoderm patches(which never stay on) but yesturday he switched it to the voltaren gel and told me I should get a cortisone shot. Lidoderm Patches (they are generic now) and Voltaren Gel. The Lidoderm works by letting small amounts of the same numbing agent they give you when they work on your teeth. You can wear 12 hours on/12 hours off. The 12 hour off the Voltaren Gel would work also. Hope that helps!

I know messed up disc, pinched nerve, etc, could cause all kinds of symptoms. But if I were in your shoes, you dont need to suffer with this, you need to get this checked out. If you have good insurance go to the e.r that way they can do all kinds of test, plus check out your neck situation. It normally gets worse untreated. Let me know how you are.
