Avatar f tn I am 15 weeks and started having trouble taking my vitamins. I get nauseous and usually end up vomiting after I take them. Is there anything that might help with the nausea? Maybe switching vitamin brands? Or eating certain foods?

Avatar f tn Hi all, I'm 20 years old and almost 6 weeks along with my 2nd pregnancy and I'm Due July 10th. It will however be my first baby, I miscarried in January the day before 12 weeks. (The baby stopped growing very early and I just took a while to pass it apparently) now I've been taking my vitamins for 4 days now and even if I don't smell it at all first I get super nauseated after I take it :( so I guess my question is Is there anyone going through the same things?

Avatar m tn Hello everybody, 3 years ago I have been struggling to stabilize my hormonal rate. Since two weeks ago, I have felt shocks the nerves in the back, the end of the spine and hips. It also radiates to my right arm and right leg and they get very swollen. I am currently taking 137 mcg of levothyroxine. Today, to try to improve, I took only 125 mcg, but I'm in pain, swelling and shortness of breath. I decided to make a new test this week and the results were as follows: TSH: 0.78 (0.5 - 5.
Avatar m tn I also think that hormonal imbalances affect how our body takes in vitamins etc and you may want to see if taking Complex B vitamins helps. B vitamins help nerves.
Avatar f tn I'm 6 weeks 2 days. I'm the exact same way. Its normal. Just take care of yourself. Stay away from caffeine! Drink lots of water, eat healthy and take Prenatal vitamins everyday. Try not to stress too much! That's bad! Think positive! Everything's going to be okay girl!
Avatar f tn They had me fill out paperwork (LOTS) and asked family history questions. Gave me a bunch of info, drew blood and gave me prenatal vitamins. No baby check yet, but I have an ultrasound scheduled for next week! Good luck !
Avatar f tn There can be compression of the nerves coming from any level, most commonly from the origins of the nerves in the spine. Other than compression, primary neuropathy problems can come from deficiency in essential vitamins and minerals such as the B vitamins and calcium, as well as not so common conditions such as MS or ALS. I suggest that you have this looked at by your doctor who may request tests like NCV (nerve conduction velocity) or EMG to assess the nerves and muscles respectively.
Avatar f tn So, it seems to me that it cannot hurt to go ahead and take some supps for my nerves ( already take them for circulation ). So, besides the B vitamins, what works good for the nerves? I've read that Omega 3's are good. Please chime in for nerves, circulation or whatever!
Avatar m tn These findings were reported at the American Diabetes Association's 69th Annual Scientific Sessions in June, 2009." they pointed out that metformin decreased the efficiency of vitamins in the body which lead to damaged nerves and aided in the development I guess that's why 60 to 70 percent of people taking this pill gets nerve damage it wasted my muscles in my legs away to being almost non existent.
215164 tn?1269466240 Nerve conduction studies measure the speed by which impulses travel to the nerves towards its target (usually a muscle) as well as the intensity. A slowing nerve conduction can mean problems with the coating of the nerves called "myelin" which can be affected with nutritional deficiencies (B vitamins), compression of nerves (like from bulging disks in the spine), or primary diseases such MS or ALS.

5579991 tn?1377095088 Hello experts, wishing you all the best. On July 24th I had surgery to remove a benignant tumor off my chest (left side next to my esofagus) after the surgery I realized that my left eye wasn't as opened as my right eye it also was kind of redish and I couldn't sweat from the left side of my face at all.
Avatar n tn Any nerve for that matter if it is completely degenerated cannot be regenerated, but there are certain vitamins which can improve the function of nerves and nervous system. Nervous function and muscular coordination requires the presence of B vitamins along with the vitamin E in good quantities within the body, any resulting or existing deficiencies in these vitamins will ensure weaknesses to overcome the musculature.
Avatar n tn B1, B6 and B12 vitamins are primarily associated. There is a German study confirming the role of these 3 vitamins in nerve repair and regrowth. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn You need to be evaluated for nerve damage, pressure on nerves, pinched or entrapped nerves. Sometimes chronic vitamin b complex deficiency particularly B12 can cause peripheral neuropathy. Consult a neurologist for evaluation and appropriate management. Wishing you all the best.
Avatar f tn I have the same problems. I use cortizone-10 plus cream on mine and it works great. My doctor told me it's a form of eczema(spl?) that arises with stress. I drench in a good lotion and use the cortizone, works for me. I'm also taking lits of vitamins now to help. St john's wort, b-complex, multivitamin are some I take. Hope this helps!
Avatar m tn B-12 is one of the vitamins used to feed the nerves. I am not saying that is what is causing the numbness. The numbness is more that likely a pinched nerve. Going to the doctors and having it checked is the only way to be sure. I hope things get better soon. Best wishes.
Avatar f tn Hi~ I did respond to your earlier post;just so you know... Many folks get in touch with their doctor about withdrawing from a drug. They are prescribed meds that help greatly with nervousness and anxiety. Valium and Neurontin are two that are used short term. In the Thomas Recipe, the B vitamins and amino acids also help. Sometimes there's an underlying depression that needs treatment. Everyone is different. It may not be as bad as you're thinking.
Avatar n tn I actually had to stop taking it because it was helping but I have two herniated disc pressing on nerves and it was getting painful. B vitamins give nerves a lot of support. It may be something you want to ask your dr about and see if it along with something else will help.
3106887 tn?1341519272 The nerve damage can become worse but only if there is something else that is causing compression with the nerves such as scar tissue on the nerves themselves or bone spurs ect growing and pressing on the nerves. As to how much worse it can get you can lose the feeling in your legs and the ability to control your muscles. Nerve damage is not always permanent but they do heal very, very slow.
Avatar f tn m so afraid of still born and having other problems any one have any advice on how I can calm down my nerves and stop stressing?
