Avatar f tn What vitamins could I take to help me treat PCOS? I havent had my cycle for approx 9 months and Im trying to conceive. I want to try to bring my cycle back. But what vitamins can I take?
935493 tn?1248796864 C occasionally. I did some research on what vitamins and minerals were good for inflammation and started this in 2005. Recently I've had so many inflammatory conditions show up and MS..that I can't say what is working or what is not. My doctors think that what I am taking is just fine. Personally I think that my recent conditions are a result from the stress during the winter trying to take care of a very difficult mother.
Avatar n tn I was seriously sick a little over a year ago. I lost about 1 1/2 to 2 cups of blood a day for three months due to Ulcerative Colitis and, as a result, was severely anemic. I've been taking one iron pill each day for a year now, and I am only slightly anemic now. However, I still don't have nearly the amount of energy that I used to have. It's as though, I lost more than just iron when I had lost all that blood. Do you know what other nutrients/minerals/vitamins I could have lost?
Avatar f tn I have had low back pain that goes down my right leg for 6 months. I have done Physical Therapy exercises, but that increases the pain. I have had an MRI, EEG (which showed a problem with the nerve), two steroid injections (neither worked), CT Myelogram (which showed inflammation of the nerve), another MRI (this time with contrast, which also showed nerve inflammation).
Avatar f tn Im not sure how this is connected to mold and fungus because i dont know anything about that. The only thing that i found that could have an effect on patm is the "reduced inflammation" but thats really vague so im not sure how much that would actually affect patm. I want to figure out why the vitamins work so that we can isolate it and then focus on that isolated piece of information.
Avatar f tn ) or any of those types constipate me. I was hoping for a natural suggestion to talk with my doctor about. They are not very informed with natural treatments of things and said they would talk with another doctor and let me know what they want to try next. I figured since I am on here I might as well ask if you know of natural treatments for FM so that I have a list in case they don't!

Avatar n tn t know about cucurmin, boswellia, and wobenzym but there are studies being done in the US. If anything to dosages for the vitamins would be good information to have set aside for future flares. Good luck, and I hope she feels better soon!
Avatar m tn I have been through Curasept with clorohexidine mouthwash for almost 3 weeks, which I took originally for inflammed gums that are now gone (plus when I use it it gives me a sensation of burning and I think it is bad). I have also been through oral hygene and I modified my diet which now consist in lots of vitamins, iron, zinc and everything at ambient temperature but the inside cheeks are still red. I have also been through antibiotics for 6 days for another reason. What should I take?
7282682 tn?1397237735 Hey nonights I haven't been on the social forum for awhile so this is kinda an old thread and hopefully you've found some help by now. If not I'll tell you what works for me- I have 3 inflammatory chronic illnesses- Crohn's, RA, and endo. I juice. The best combo is apple, celery, carrot, and ginger. I put 3 drops of homeopathic anti inflammatory booster in it. I avoid dairy, fried foods, red meat (except when I'm bleeding heavily) and raw veggies and nuts.
973741 tn?1342342773 The alternative drug would be good old aspirin, which everyone seems to have forgotten about because regular use at levels high enough for it to work for fever and inflammation can tear apart the stomach lining and cause ulcers, but so can ibuprofen and naproxen. All of them can so throw off your digestive tract that even when you stop taking them you might have problems chronically, as happened to me recently after bouts on ibuprofen for a hip problem and then a tooth problem.
Avatar f tn ) to apply 2x per day for 3 days, then off for 4 days, repeat for 1 month in hopes of putting this into remission. It caused sores, pain, and felt like a cigararette was being extinguished onto my vagina. The area this inflammation is described as if my vagina was a clock, it is between 5:00 and 7:00. I have seen 4 gynecologists, a dermitologist and my GP. I have abstained from vaginal sex for 6 week stretches to get the inflammation to "settle down".
Avatar n tn The danger of untreated inflammation is decreased absorption of vitamins, anemia, damaged intestine (parts of it then have to be surgicaly removed), and complications, like a cancer. Colonic cancer very rarely appears under 40 years of age, so it's not likely that you have it. Hemmorrhoids are the most often cause of gut bleeding though. Other causes are celiac disease, diverticulitis, vessel abnormalities...and so on - all this can be confirmed only by colonoscopy.
1563571 tn?1295121439 I try to be a vegetarian, but it is not easy for the egg-for-breakfast and salmon-for-dinner lover. I am prone to really long difficult periods of depressions as well, unfortunately. Did anyone have luck with trying to control depression with diet. Please share. Thank You in advance. Spread love and light.

Avatar f tn Ok, so i've been having inflammation, what helps with it? hashis diagnosed 3 1/2 years ago, current dosage 118.5mcg synthroid.. last labs TSH 14.8 (0.3 - 4.5) FT3 n/a FT4 1.2 ( 0.7 - 1.4) These labs were the reason for the increase in synthroid dosage.. I've been on 118.5mcg for almost 4 weeks now.. i noticed inflammation symptoms started about 2 weeks ago, they are.... "fullness in throat" goiter feeling multiple times per day... Carpal tunnel symptoms...
Avatar f tn This calls the immune system to respond, to guard and assist the damaged area for repairs. This causes swelling (inflammation). This happens inside the artery wall and the swelling can bulge either inwards or outwards or even both. With the high level of oxygen in the blood, it doesn't take long for cells trapped in the cracks to become oxidised and form a plaque.
Avatar f tn Fat soluble vitamin supplements A, E, D and K are usually concentrated into a gel capsule or a liquid drop form for supplementation. Their class means these vitamins need to be ingested with some form of dietary fat in order to be most efficiently absorbed into the body through the gastrointestinal tract. These vitamins should be taken with food containing healthy dietary fats like poly or monounsaturated fats. Flax oil or nuts are good foods that can help the body absorb fat soluble vitamins.
Avatar n tn None - they will test me by liver biopsy and labs and ultrasound. It sounds great because if I have inflammation - then they will also supply the drugs. If I don't have inflammation even better - no drugs. Sounds like a trial, but haven't been able to find anything on it.
Avatar f tn Vitamins and mineral supplements i'm currently using are bioceuticals - vitamin B12 sublingual spray; Nature's Own - vitamin D gummies, chelated magnesium; Swisse - chelated zinc, chelated iron (easy bruising is my slam dunk diagnosis so only take when needed). I am going to buy Nature's own multi vitamin gummies next week. I hope they are delicious as vitamin D! I get my selenium from brazil nuts.
Avatar f tn I keep reading articles which then very neatly promote a book about dietary changes for people with Graves!! Help please. Someone out there musy know what to eat and what not to eat! THANK YOU!!
757137 tn?1347196453 s Life called Bromelain Sinus Ease; I use it partly for my sinuses, but also as an anti-inflammatory for bad discs. Source Naturals also makes a good one. There are many good lung decongestants along with mullein -- pleurisy root might be particularly helpful. Now, if you just wanted general anti-inflammatories, such as for arthritis or muscle aches and such, then you can move on to turmeric, MSM, ginger, sea mussel, and a host of other remedies.
Avatar m tn probably there is no much intrest for drug makers i have seen forums where people have home machines to do liposomes for vitamins so making empty liposomes shouldn t be difficult and there should be also no sides on pure empty liposomes.
