Still waiting to hear back. Have any of you had to do this before? What is the Vitamin k used for? Thanks!
Avatar n tn My dermatologist recommended vitamin C serum to improve my skin and vitamin K cream to help the bruises. He also prescribed ammonium lactate lotion for my dry skin. I have used these creams for several months with little result.The vitamin K cream does seem to help the bruises fade faster. Is there anything else I can do to prevent this problem?

Vitamin K aids in the ability of blood to clot, which is why it is given to newborns as a preventative measure. I have had it treated with a with a process where apin was placed into the vein, and also with lazers-which is very exspensive. I work with the public,and very concerned about my appearnce. Recently, I've been using a cover-up called Dermablend. Is there any thing I could use or do to get rid of these? I heard vitamin K cream might help.

Avatar f tn Tingly feet, legs and hands, unbalanced and lightheaded and have passed out a few times. Now, with my new bloodwork my Vitamin K is elevated at 1453. I have no idea what this means. Am I not processing vitamins correctly in my body because of the MTHFR gene mutation. My doctors don't seem to have an answer for me.

Avatar f tn I have read of using a constant daily low dosage (100mcg) of vitamin K to resolve INR instability the theory being that the instability may be due to a vitamin K deficiency and the constant dosage gives a bias level for the coumadin to work against. Does anyone have any experience or thoughts on this?

Unfortunately, over the years I haven't found the miracle cure to lessen the appearance of those small capillaries just under the skin that lead to the dark circles. And the puffiness goes away only temporarily. I've resumed to a vitamin e eye cream (the body shop), a cucumber eye gel, and a really good two-toned undereye concealer (susan posnick). Let me know if you find the permanent miracle cure!

Avatar f tn If you are afraid of not having enough, you can explore taking vitamin K supplements yourself. Vitamins are better absorbed through food though, for Vit K try eating salads, broccoli, and cauliflower. There may be more, but those are the ones that come to mind off of the top of my head. There is evidence that cutting the cord too soon leads to more problems, such as bleeding on the brain and in the lungs than babies not given the vitamin K shot.
