Nervous function and muscular coordination requires the presence of B vitamins along with the vitamin E in good quantities within the body, any resulting or existing deficiencies in these vitamins will ensure weaknesses to overcome the musculature.

Avatar f tn Hi, I was wondering if its possible to have a vitamin D allergy? I drink milk, go in the sun (skin gets red very fast) and eat other foods that contain it and have no problem, but I recently was told by my doctor that I have a vitamin D deficiency. She wants me to start taking vitamin D3 in a 2300 dose. My question is, is it possible to have an allergy to this vitamin even though I eat foods that contain it? Will this high level of vitamin D affect me in a negative way?

Avatar n tn To be clear, avoid minerals and fat-soluble vitamins A (preformed), E, and K (vitamin K1, vitamin K2 MK-4, and extremely dangerous vitamin K2 MK-7), which can build up in your body and cause toxicity and liver damage and kidney damage. Vitamin K2 is made by beneficial bacteria in your intestines. Vitamin K is stored in the body. Vitamin K (K1, K2 MK-7, K2 MK-4) thickens the blood. Vitamin K supplements (especially nasty MK-7) are totally unnecessary.

Vitamin E has been shown to increase sperm count dramaticly, and vitamin C for both men and women helps the sperm and eggs develop to their full potential. Folic acid helps prevent miscarriages and birth defects. Right now I am taking Prenatel, folic acid, vitamins C and E, chaste tree berry extract, and zinc along with Metformin as directed by my doctor.
Avatar f tn The sun is the best source of vitamin D (at least 15 minutes of exposure a day) however if you live above the 35 degree latitude, there is no UVB rays (that create vitamin D) from November through to March. Very few foods contain vitamin D. The flesh of fatty fish (such as salmon, tuna, and mackerel) and fish liver oils are among the best sources. Small amounts of vitamin D are found in beef liver, cheese, and egg yolks.

Avatar n tn I received the following e-mail from your site: "Your question Vitamin E Deficiency has received 1 responses. Please thank the members who wrote answers to your question by choosing a Best Answer and recognizing a member for their extraordinary effort." Since I've not received an answer from the neurologist or members (understandable in regard to members - E deficiency is RARE), I can't really pick a Best Answer at this point. If by chance the Dr.
