Avatar m tn diarrhea After looking this up, it was linked to this ingredient along with the fact that there may not be enough Vitamin K2 going into your bloodstream to regulate the Vitamin D3 being taken from your bones. I actually have not been taking K2 as much until recently again, and when I did I felt it was a small dose so I strengthend it which seems to make a little difference lately. Most of my weakness was is coming from my upper body, starting with my neck to my shoulders.
233622 tn?1279334905 Yes, vitamin D3 levels are very important in MS. First, the role of D3 is to act like a hormone that modulates the immune system. Back in 1997, it was found that when mice were given D3, they did not develop the mouse model of MS. As studies have progressed, the evidence strongly points to the role of D3 in preventing MS. That seems to be the link in the statistics that show that there is less MS as you get closer to the equator.
Avatar f tn Just found half of a mouse that had been bitten into in my backyard where my connhound is. Should I be concerned if she ate it? I do not keep d-CON in or near my home.

Avatar n tn I tested my vitamin D level. What do my results mean? I just picked the last two levels since the article is very long.... "My level is between 100-150 ng/ml Although these levels aren’t toxic and aren’t usually harmful, they are thought to be too high. There are no known benefits to having a vitamin D level over 100 ng/ml.

666921 tn?1254990618 does anyone think that the fact some of us 'lymies' feel worse - muscle pain esp.- when the summer weather is over - could be conected with 'low vitamin D' - just curious of others opinions on this.
640548 tn?1340553355 Vitamin D3 is the safest and most effective) supplement (not D2 - which is what most doctors give). D3 is available OTC or at health food stores. Also get time in the mid-day sun on most or ideally every day, with as much skin exposed as possible. Not enough to turn you pink, but should just start to have the lightest colour. I am pregnant and taking 5000 IUI of D3 a day. I tested my blood levels and they are only mid-range with this dosing.
3055286 tn?1340591155 Take some very strong double sided tape, stick it to your foor or surfaces where the mice are, put a little cracker or sumthin on the tape &' wen the mouse walks across it will get stuck (provided your tape is strong enough) they also sell traps that are nothing but sticky &' the mouse can't get off (very inexpensive) &' they have no poison on them .. that's what we used ..
15848200 tn?1456634289 Vitamin D2 causes the amyloid protein in your brain to clump together making it difficult to remove this build up of amyloid. This leads to loss of cognitive function and sets up the conditions for Alzheimer's disease progression. Vitamin D3 helps clear amyloid from the brain which aids in improving cognitive function. Keeping 25(OH)D3 levels at or above 50ng/ml [US] or 125nmol/l [UK] is an important factor in reversing cognitive decline.

Avatar f tn She died last week after getting sick really fast. The emergency vet said it was rat or mouse poison ingested 3-5 days prior. I do everything organic, there is no poison in my house or yard and I am shocked and so saddened and angry about this. I've read a lot about rat poison since then and a dog can die from eating a poisoned mouse or bird or from eating a dropped pellet.
Avatar f tn I tried to take vit d3 in a liquid form (dropper) 1,000 mg a day due to d3 deficiency two different times. Both trial periods, I felt weak, dizzy with heart palpatations. Have u ever heard of this reaction to d3?
Avatar f tn Vitamin D has a number of cofactors and the most important are magnesium, vitamin K, zinc, boron and vitamin A. The Vitamin D council state optimal vitamin D [25(OH)D] levels should be between 50–80 ng/ml (125–200 nmol/L).
Avatar m tn Meant to add..... Did you get the mouse? Is there any poison or traps out? If the mouse were poisoned, it could affect the dog.

Avatar f tn Tingly feet, legs and hands, unbalanced and lightheaded and have passed out a few times. Now, with my new bloodwork my Vitamin K is elevated at 1453. I have no idea what this means. Am I not processing vitamins correctly in my body because of the MTHFR gene mutation. My doctors don't seem to have an answer for me.
Avatar f tn The Vitamin D Council actually recommends that healthy adults take 5,000 iu vitamin D3 everyday. Therefore, since you are severely deficient, like I was and must stay on guard so I won't be again, you can safely take the minimum of 5,000 iu everyday and then some. Avatar f tn My doctor prescribed me these vitamin d3 wafers that I'm suppose to take weekly since my vitamin d is a little on the low side and he says vit d deficiency can cause several birth defects. So I've been taking Replesta vit d3 for 3 weeks now its one chewable tablet per week & just now I just read on the indications and use sheet "NOT TO BE USED BY PREGNANT WOMEN". Says it can cause heart defects in fetuses amongst other things. I dont know how to feel right now.
3221216 tn?1373640059 The research showed the various pathways that vitamin D3 uses, showing the antiviral properties of vitamin D3 particularly during interferon treatment. Researchers noted that vitamin D3 combined with interferon alfa has a synergistic relationship (the drug interactions are magnified, in this case in a beneficial way). Also noted was that vitamin D3 combined with interferon alfa decreases viral production more than interferon alfa without vitamin D3.
Avatar n tn I was wondering if anyone is taking vitamin D3 to help with their anxiety or depression? I have heard lots of good things about it. I know I personally do not get out into the sun enough. I did start on 1000iu per day, but my chiro says to do 5000iu. He thinks it will work wonders on my anxiety. He's never steered me wrong before. Love this forum.
