Avatar f tn I'm not a doctor and I can't tell you what to do, but personally, I'd stop the cytomel for a while until the FT3 levels come down... Are you taking just one 50 mcg pill/day or are there multiple pills that you take to get the 50 mcg? Do you take it all at once or in multiple doses throughout the day? Just because hemoglobin is "good", doesn't mean iron is optimal...

Avatar m tn t throw off your B vitamin balance or overload you with iron is to eat foods high in chlorophyll, such as spirulina or wheat grass. Chlorophyll has virtually the same structure as hemoglobin, and the body accepts it as such, and it is safer. But again, you need to tell us in more detail what's actually going on for us to give you an answer that makes any sense and won't harm you in the long run.

I also took Loratadine 10mg for 2 weeks and did not do anything to me, PATM was still the same.

Avatar n tn It starts with nerve pain in my lower back and on the right side of my leg all the way down to my foot. then a rash and blisters. I do have low vitamin D and low thyriod and low B-12. And alot of stress. I had gone to the doctor 6 years ago and he said it was shingles and then told me later he didn't know for sure. I found out about the low vitamins long after I had seen that doctor. I had been going to all kinds of doctors trying to figure out what was wrong with me.

Could you please let me know what could be the reason and what tests she has to take. She has thyroid problem and taking medicines for that.
Avatar f tn Yes, your symptoms can be because your low on Vitamin D? Did they check your vitamin B levels also? What about potassium? I know you're starting vitamins but try your best to find a really good one. Many of the ones you can buy at Walmart or even your local drug store are'nt that good. If you have a health food store near you buy from them. Many times their vitamins are better.

Avatar f tn Your body will flush out the extra vitamins and minerals in your urine that your body doesn't need or use. Its just part of the functions in the kidneys (waste). So my guess (if youre not having other symptoms leading to diagnosis of infection) is your dark urine is an overload of vitamins and minerals I'm which your body is excreting extra waste tgrough kidneys. Extra vites probably from prenatals if you are taking those.

Avatar f tn 3 and should be at 11) and I am concerned that he gave me too much and I understand that iron is difficult to absorb and can take a long time to build stores and certain foods can inhibit absorption but on top of my prenatal vitamin (which has 27 mg) assuming that it’s the elemental iron that’s listed that’s like 92mg of iron daily and I’ve read that you shouldn’t exceed 45mg during pregnancy and so far over the past couple weeks I haven’t had any symptoms until this morning after I took my iron
Avatar f tn My husband has blood tests and his doctor told him he had virtually no vitamin D and a "compromised liver"..he is 72 and has had long term (years) of iron overload due to a chronic disorder and another blood disorder which causes low blood count numbers and has to have lots of transfusions and bi-annual chemo treatments. He cannot have a phlebotomy for the iron because of his other disorder. What does this mean? I don't think my husband tells me everything.
